>get to the "teach me magic scene" with Gayle
>turns gay really fast out of nowhere
>shut that shit down and never speak to him again unless its about his story missions
>eventually romance and make things official with Lae'zel
>Gayle: "So you and Lae'zel huh, I thought we might have had something , now choose me or her"
WE WERE NEVER A THING YOU GAY WIZARD homosexual
The worst part is, there is no option to say "i think you must be confused", or "I never liked you that way".
The only responses are different variations of "what we had is over, lets just be friends".
My roleplay is ruined because the game forced me to lead on this homosexual magician.
is this game just a WEG cashing in on nostalgia? It seems like sex is the only thing that happens in this game. Damn shame we need more fantasy settings but i don’t want vidya turning into a sex platform
Its literally just a gag
There's hardly any sex at all tbh.
Not counting
I had the first opportunity come up in Act 2 for me with Karlach, I said no tho because I'm only interesting in Shadowheart.
I also found it quite satisfying to play around with magic with gale and then cut it off and make him visibly sad.
>halfway through act3
>still no romantic interactions with Karlach
did i frick up by laying with shadowheart at the camp party thing in Act1?
I even rejected shadowheart toward the end of act 2 but still nothing with Karlach.
The closest I got was at the Last Hope Inn when i gave her a hug
why bother she doesn't even get a happy ending
I know i just want Karlach sexo
Her learning to accept that she's a big tomboy composed of clockwork and scar tissue and her destiny is to be punching demons forever is a good ending.
The real question is what do I do with all this Infernal Iron, Alloy and Advance Alloy I have.
her returning to avernus is not a happy ending no matter how you spin it.
literally took 55 hours of gameplay to get a sex scene with shadowheart, the horniness of this game is extremely overblown
>It seems like sex is the only thing that happens in this game
Have you considered not getting all your info from Ganker?
>Not being a Barbarian and laughing at Grukkoh for his weak fricking skills
>average american relationship
>Back away slowly
Hahahahahaha! Like "hellooooo! akwaaaaard!" THIS IS HILARIOUS!
its called roleplay
>npc says "So this is how half-orcs are made"
>laugh at my friend because he's playing a half-orc
What are some good feats for Monk? I took tavern brawler as my first one but don't know what to take next.
Mobile makes you hilarious
You can do just ability increases each time since you benefit alot for having Wisdom and Dex being 20
mobile if you like a hit and run strategy, same with athletics, jumping is very busted and more efficient than regular moving, especially with Monk's 1 ki ability that lets them jump as many times as they want in a turn.
>Japanese humor
Imagine the smell.
>Not going fem drow barb and laughing at how small his pp is
What makes it even better is that if you succeed the intimidation check he'll spill his spaghetti and they'll both leave without starting a fight
This game is written for r/DnD trogs who think the twentieth "bard rolls to seduce the dragon" story they've read that day is the funniest thing they've ever heard. It's not even about the politics (though that doesn't help), it's just a wildly immature game. If you're a Manchin and don't care about the narrative, I suppose this game is fine.
This is the problem. This game is basically just a carbon copy of your average IRL DnD session with sweaty degenerate tabletop nerds. They think this is the height of clever humor and compelling fantasy writing.
Reminds me of a group I got invited to join in college. After I agreed, DM went out of her way to tell me that everything from 3.5 was allowed, including the book of erotic fantasies. I played one courtesy session before politely leaving the group.
I met this guy at work that brought up DnD and he was a real loser, cashier, probably early 30's, but he was nice so I humoured him. I said I was interested in DnD and he said that was so cool because there were only two people in his group, the DM and him, and he's been in the same campaign, alone, and is like level 3000 and holds dominion of the world with his harem
and I just nodded until he was done talking and never talked to him again
he sounds pretty epic tbh
maybe, but I wasn't about to go to somebody's house and get my kidney stolen over a fight with an imaginary harem with him
>harem
at least he's not a homosexual like the dm of bg3
That, and the added homosexualry.
> Modern Western Humor
i thought the fat one was a woman because of the saggy breasts and stuff?
>didn't know Gale wanting to show you some magic was a come on
Anon you might just be socicially moronic
Is showing someone magic the dnd equivalent of offering kids candy? Do you also live in Faerûn?
The devs are socially moronic and don't know how to build platonic friendships.
>hey, let's go for a private lesson somewhere... intimate
You might be moronic if you don't spot the obvious.
Not to mention that you need to enable him for him to offer that in the first place.
I told him I wasn't interested in learning that magic and the game penalised me for it. My relationship with gale dropped
Glad to see that Ganker hasn't changed a bit.
>[Give her the chocolate]
kek'd
Frick you.
I'm still confused
HOW?
>socicially
Anon, you might just be moronic
lmao
the issue you seem to be (willingly) ignoring is that even though OP maybe misinterpreted Gale's initial intentions in the magic scene, he still clearly turned him down at the end and even indicated that there were no other "gay accidents" with him. And despite all that, once OP solidified a romance with another character, gale STILL threw a hissy fit and forced him to justify his choice. Even if I were gay, I'd be pissed if I willingly banged Wyll, and Gale whom I clearly turned down multiple times still gives me shit about it
i think the conversation flags are just moronic and all of this should happen on the same night or one night apart at most. That way it doesn't look like someone's holding a grudge, just commenting on recent events.
I think OP is lying for (you)s because I was in the same situation, turned him down and it never happened again. I killed the gay vampire so I dunno about that but I turned everyone else down and never had a problem, including laezel who I had sweaty femdom sex with, then rejected for shadowcute
>wanting to call people socially moronic when it's clear NO ONE involved in this game had a genuine, platonic friendship or a healthy relationship with someone
Sausagealley :DDDD
TPBP. /vpol/ showing their moronation always.
Those who cannot conceive Friendship as a substantive love but only as a disguise or elaboration of Eros betray the fact that they have never had a Friend.
The fact that you think it was unreasonable to assume that he really did just want us to see something interesting about his field of expertise is only a sign that both you and the writers have never cared about anything more than your own sexual gratification, that you have never had any genuine passions or interests.
The "teach me magic" request is obviously some kind of romance trigger just based on the way Gale is talking and the tone of the responses. I think you just have aspergers and tripped the first romance flag unknowingly because you've never had anyone interested in you, and you have no frame of reference.
Gale is constantly talking like he knows something you don't. I think you forget the guy playing gale is an actor, which is understandable since you never leave the house.
>Gale is constantly talking like he knows something you don't.
Yeah, he knows the taste of wiener slathered with mud.
>Gale is constantly talking like he knows something you don't.
Yeah this definitely fits with what's happening here. I understand some initial confusion, but if you get to the end of the conversation without realizing it's a romance trigger, you're actually moronic. Especially since the other companions directly mention it before the scene if you talk to them.
>victim blaming
Go learn what consent is, chud
This. It's not like Gale just says "lets practice magic bro". His dialog is more like "how about you and me go somewhere private and have a little sensual, beautiful time together".
If you didn't think this was gay you're a fricking idiot.
I hate that this board is basically fanboys defending EVERYTHING about their dear game, no conversation is possible whatsoever on this shithole. I truly hope you all fricking drop dead.
I'm not defending shit. I'm pointing out Ganker is fricking moronic if they didn't see the dialog was heading towards romance.
Or maybe Ganker is mad because they can't stop sucking wiener? Bunch of slack jawed homosexuals who got outed by a fricking video game of all things.
I thought he was going to teach my character a cantrip because this is a role playing game
Yeah and the guy in that van over there totally has candy and video games. Why don't you go with him anon?
to be fair i no way gayged out as soon as he smiled at me seductively
>Anon: "An NPC asked me if I wanted a gay massage"
>Anon: "I said yes and got a gay massage! WTF"
>Anon2: "Maybe don't agree to get a gay massage then?"
>Anon3: "Fricking shills shilling ugh why won't anyone play league of legends"
to be completely fair, Gale is bugged and can have his gay romance triggered by totally innocuous stuff right now
homie I had to tell the big hairy bear that I hoped I didn't come onto him too strongly because I told him to go and have fun at the party. This is not normal.
you do not, in fact, have to select every single dialogue presented to you. it will not impede any questlines in any way to refrain from picking the option that demonstrably drops pocket spaghetti he didn't know you had.
By that logic you don't have to talk to every single NPC either. Hell, might as well just not play the game to avoid bugged/moronic dialogues.
Are you an idiot?
You saw conversation options like
>Would you share something personal about yourself?
or
>Tell me: What are your feelings about me?
And then you're surprised when it's seen as an invitation for intimacy?
You do realise that just because there's a dialogue tree doesn't mean you need to visit every branch.
Especially when you KNOW one of those branches is gay sex and you, "apparently" don't want that.
If you think
>Would you share something personal about yourself?
Is a sexual invitation, you are a porn brain moron
>>Tell me: What are your feelings about me?
Why do I constantly have the option to ask Shadowheart thus? is it a bug that ita not going away? it annoys me that the game seems to be implying I should give a frick about her opinion of me specifically
> Anon goes for a job interview
> Interviewer: "Anon, why don't you tell me a little about yourself and where you see yourself in 5 years?"
> Anon: "Okay, you can stop now. I can see where this is going, and there's no need to be coy."
> Interviewer: "Uh, what do you mea-"
> Anon:*Unzips dick*
Anon y'mous was later detained on public indecency charges.
>i can't avoid dropping my spaghetti because I get too many opportunities to, so i'm just going to not talk to anyone
Is this your tactic in real life? That's entirely an option. I have a co-op campaign where I'm literally going to wildshape the whole time and only talk to animals. You can walk around and only take discussions forced upon you. That's why it's a roleplaying game.
It's always wise to talk to every game character until they begin repeating themselves.
this is a game where that can piss people off into combat or result in sex with a bear. i disagree with the modern formula of having absolutely no meaningful consequences for what you say to NPCs.
It's impossible to discuss a big budget game on Ganker on release. There's morons attacking/hating the game for everything just to shitpost, so the people who like the game retaliate by defending every shit the developer took on them like it's personal. They *need* to defend it so viciously because if they let even a small gap of "ok maybe they could have improved this part" the opposition will just exploit it to shitpost harder. That's how Ganker communication dynamics work. After a year people stop being so emotional about it and you can discuss it normally. It was the same for Elden Ring and a couple of other AAA games, it's probably going to be the same for Armored Core.
He is literally fawning over a goddess and tells you that he's fricked her. They just established that he's hetero, why the frick would he suddenly come on to me?
Welcome to playersexual games, this is why 12 years ago the largest RPG dev in the West reverted their playersexual changes to their franchise
this was also a huge complain with deadfire which caused obsidian (who had some industry leaders in RPG making) to go bankrupt
Mystara gets fricked by any wizard that strikes her fancy. Elminster's fricked her multiple times and he's been turned into a woman and fricked at least once.
>you're autistic for not picking up my headcanon sweaty
You filth get violently murdered throughout history for good reason.
You do realize that the past required far better social skills to get along than today?
A dumbass like you would be worse off 1000 years ago than right now because social competency was far more life-and-death back then.
Says terminally online homosexual creep.
The dude is literally mourning how he can't be with Mystra anymore. Yeah, seems normal that his immediate intention is to frick me for entertaining the idea of just wanting to see some cool magic as a Lv3 character who can barely cast fireball.
I rejected his first advanced and he still wanted to show me magic, which i rejected too, hes just a very persistent arse bandit, i was surprised that Karlach was immediately down for it despite me only triggering her approval 3 times before the party
This. But what OP and most others who make this criticism fail to mention is that every companion that night gives you an option to either "spend time alone" with them, or you can refuse. For example, Shadowheart asks if you want to spend some alone time together once everyone has fallen asleep. Laezel straight up offers you sex. Gale offers to show you some magic tricks.
On top of that, even if you inadvertently accept someone's offer, once you talk to someone else they will explicitly say you seem to have plans with someone else, but you now have the option, "I'd rather spend time with you than them".
So the ONLY way a player wouldn't notice this blatant pattern is if they ONLY talked to Gale that night and nobody else. In that case, you might just be gay.
>This. But what OP and most others who make this criticism fail to mention is that every companion that night gives you an option to either "spend time alone" with them, or you can refuse.
???
Gale was literally the only character that had a conversation prompt the night he offered to show me magic. Not a single other character had any dialogue beyond the generic "join my party" stuff.
>The only person I managed to impress enough to want to frick me is the most easily impressed starting companion
just type this
Well... yeah. Gale is piss easy to please which is what leads to the conversation, which directly contradicts your bullshit claim about everybody wanting to frick you that night when they're much harder to please. Have a party full of spellcasters and you'll be long resting constantly.
yeah, i barely use him by virtue of being a caster myself yet he has the highest approval with me
I assume it's because feeding him magic items increases ihs approval. I never brought him with me anywhere and also have high approval with him
most people get more options that night than gale. you were just unusually unlikeable that run.
Not true in the slightest. If you don't commit to being a comical butthole or a Paladin LARPer, you won't climb approval fast for any of the other characters in relation to Gale. i.e. if you play the game like an actual human being and not a nerd's idea of a caricature. As in you'll tend to try and seek non-violent middle-ground but buttfrick anything that makes it clear it wants to murder and rape.
Gale's idea of approval is "He won't kill the children, excellent."
>most people get more options that night than gale
On what night? You don't understand how this game works, homosexual. People with 2 or more caster classes will literally long camp rest after 1/2 fights in order to get their spell slots back.
or i could use cantrips tbh.
>Cantrips
lol
Can't hear you over your "eldritch blasted off a cliff" condition
literally wrong, these conversations are based entirely on approval and have no set activation period, and gale is the easiest to please by a wide margin.
Everyone except Wyll.
>Wyll: I use to dance y'know
>Can I see it?
>Wyll: No.
>Wyll at the Party
>Hey Wyll want to dance?
>Wyll: No.
Have to wait until part two to finally flirt with the fricker. Meanwhile the Bear will jump your bones if you ask how's the weather.
honestly, the fact that every character is player sexual and every 1on1 interaction is a romance trigger is one of the biggest flaws of this game. you literally can't just befriend a party member. you either frick them or ignore them.
the exact same as real life, tragic when you think about it
I have plenty of same sex friends in real life m8
Its fairly realistic tbh. I stopped talking to one of my good friends in college after she rejected me for a relationship. She said she just saw me as a friend. So I started to ignore all her messages and calls until she just stopped one day and we never spoke again.
A fellow supreme gentleman I see.
Well no I think a supreme gentleman would probably harass her and call her a bawd or something. I just cut off all contact. When she turned me down I just said "ok 🙂 " and when she would send me messages asking to meet up I'd say I was busy and then progressed to just not replying at all.
this makes me kind of sad but i get it.
She had plenty of other friends. I didn't want to be a beta orbiter
Based. There is no reason to maintain contact with women who have rejected you.
Inability to recognize other people's thoughts and emotions is a sure sign of autism, OP.
My therapist said I have cognitive empathy but not emotional empathy.
the only way to play this game without it turning uncomfortably homosexual is to either play as a female main character or never talk to male companions / kill them when you get the chance
kek wtf is actually wrong with straightoids
literal mental illness
but being stressed/ disgusted by the sight of maggots is gay af.
>his gaem has "social mechanics" as a selling feature
Do normans really?
It's tiring how every hireling thinks you want to frick them just because you're nice to them. Sometimes people just want friendship and camaraderie. But of course the moronic devs clearly never experienced either of these so they can't write about them.
This is my favorite pasta to come out of the game. Choose me or her! LMAO! GOTY also btw
>he fell for the "let me show you my magic wand" trick
If OP was a woman and not a man the entirety of le reddit would be like RAPEY WIZARD WTF IS HIS PROBLEM THAT IS PROBLEMATIC AND LE INAPPOPRIATE
When its a guy its like "lol wtf bro you lead him on when you said "yes I want to learn magic" stupid dumbass"
Prove it, make that post.
straight women have three choices, two sex pests and the literal bear druid. Currently, I do not see women complaining. Therefore, they must be fine with it or not playing BG3.
It's actually the reason I haven't bought it. If I voice a complaint I get accused of being some incel moron who doesn't understand what it's like being a woman. Even though I was born one.
But on the whole it's like you know already, women are okay with sex pests and rapists as long as they're hot. No different to dudes chasing golddiggers and babytraps.
Just accept the male companions weren't exactly written for you and assemble your b***h squad. Wyll is alright though, seems to take rejection well and is upfront enough to not trick morons.
Isn't that common in like every CRPG?
The romances are written for straight men first, gay men second, gay women third, and straight women last?
Like almost every time even. Hetero/homosexual dudes get the most action, lesbians get sloppy seconds, and straight women get the least amount of anything when it comes to romance.
Why they would If I were a woman I would pick Halsin since he's strong and tall, and also he looks like a bro even if he likes to frick animals
some women are not into his body type, also too much of a goodboy
>women
>not being wet for Christ Hemsworth body type
yes. women have at least mildly diverse tastes. there were women into benedict cumberbatch ffs.
>two sex pests
I only know of Gale and Halsin, Astarion actually accepts your rejection regardless of gender, and i havent seen anything about Wyll, only Lae-Zael who tries to rub on your face if you reject her and keeps trying to entice you into fricking her
>Astarion actually accepts your rejection regardless of gender
only because he doesn't have the power to force you to stay.
is this real? does he admit that? if so that's hot
seriously. if he outright said that, i'd drop eveyone else like hot potato
from what i've heard his romance route has a couple different conclusions
well I wasn't gonna bother with him but now I feel like I need to. maybe I'll wait for a 2nd playthrough so I can do a het romance tho
Holy shit, hot
i hope he's not gonna become all yanere, haha. thank you swen
I have to rethink everything now. I wasn't aware this homie was EVIL evil. that is a huge turn on
yes hes EVIL EVIL
You'd be stunting his character growth if you made him do some savior of the realms shit
Wyll is just
>hey you wanna dance
and you can just tell him to frick off and that's that
I'm fine with it because game romances are always like this. they're not really for straight women. the only one I can think of that felt actually romantic that I've played was ME2 Thane.
Garrus.
Yeah I don't like Garrus so I never tried it. He basically comes on to you like "idk if you know this but I've fricked before so idk maybe I could do that with you." it was really autistic and put me off
But that's literally how most guys act. Garrus is like one of the most realistic male romances for women I've seen in a video game and not a fujo fantasy.
just because you put a loser hitting on you into a video game doesn't suddenly make it more appealing what are you even trying to say lol
Funny how that lame excuse doesn't work when it comes to romances intended for men, does it?
what do you mean?
Write a female character as anything but a realistic interpretation of a woman and she's called incel porn bait.
Write a male character as realistic and he's called a boring loser that women shouldn't be interested in. (Which isn't true because Garrus was only second to Tali in who got romanced in the ME:LE stats)
I reject your premise I can't really say I've seen people complaining about incel porn bait that much. also Garrus did not appeal to me I didn't say no one should be interested in him. I'm aware my opinion of him isn't a popular one. the best ME romance option in my opinion was actually Liara and it's not even close.
Why would they complain ?
There is bestiality, they have everything they need.
another bot thread, yawn
The only thing I haven't liked in this game so far is how they handled this. It would have felt much more natural to have just chosen a sexual orientation during character creation instead of my party members just assuming I'm bisexual and want to frick them.
I still didn't accidentally take the conversation to a sexual place like shitposters on this board have claimed to. I saw dialogue options to frick Astarion and Halsin but turned them down. Gale's come on was the weirdest by far since nothing up to this point in the game indicated that he was looking at me like that. Lae'zel and Shadowheart at least make sense since they've been flirting with me and swooning over me.
>character called Gay L
>is Gay
Really Nolan?
This guys is fricking hideous, that's all, goodbye.
Playing the game was your first mistake
Welcome to Bisexchad World.
Kinda sucks that RPGs are more about romance than adventure or world building anymore.
It's not even about romance. The """romance""" is just a mini-game where you fill an affinity bar and then ends in sex. It's shallow, and hardly ever unfolds like a real romance. Shit like this always feels like a desperate attempt to come across as adult, when it's all juvenile bullshit. That's fine for some games, but the standard should be higher for RPGs.
>you fill an affinity bar and then ends in sex.
most characters in the game dont even need that
all the male characters will try to frick you immediately when you talk to them
shadowheart is the only character who takes some effort to frick
Drives me absolutely fricking crazy how these games where all the companions are bisexual never have an "Oh I'm not gay sorry" dialogue option. You know, the way every single human being alive deals with this kind of stuff
It’s especially weird in a game with Insight as a mechanic. Clocking someone’s sexuality should be a DC 2 Insight check or something.
Everyone wants to frick the MC, gay or not. Also Gale is based and kino, we love casting spells
Just wait till the game glitches and you get that "About that night we spent together..." option despite never putting your dick anywhere near his butthole
mm, that's my favorite type of playersexual game, the buggy ones that say you fricked dudes
I'm starting to think that players having to mod horny shit into all their games is actually the preferable option. At least players can pick and choose what mods they download rather than leaving it up to the braindead game devs to decide everything on their behalf.
I really didn't anticipate frog girl having both the best romance and best character development in this game
they completely rewrote her after they realized that the person they hired to write her was a spiteful male feminist purposefully making unlikable characters
she wasn't one of the characters that got rewrote, her Act 1 stuff is exactly the same as in EA
Is that so? Lae'zel wasn't actually a fully fleshed out character yet in the early access was she though... so the character she becomes in the full game isn't really who she was in the early access
so technically they were "rewriting her" up until full release, right?
>can go to githyanki creche and get pivotal character development before proceeding to act 2
>>lae'zel's act 1 is exactly the same as EA
>githyanki creche wasn't in EA
why do you lie
nothing that was in the EA got rewritten, you're splitting hairs for some weird reason
I 100% expected that when I saw the character designs
These clowns are very predictable with their shitty unconventional = akschually deep
>presented a gay option
>pick gay option
you are a closet gay
The companion dialogue tree is all over the place, I don't think it was playtested at all. One of the first random convos I had with Astarion was among the lines of "so yeah I am a vampire what do you think about it" and then his whole questline happens when he denies it and everyone's surprised once he does the sucky sucky. What the frick. Also Laezel was weird, I had the option to "break off our fling" even though I never did anything even close to trying to frick her.
What the frick.
Yeah, I killed Karlach, but not right away letting her live initially until she suggested going back to kill the paladins and then I ended her. Next time I camped I got all the triggers for Wyll not killing her and getting cursed.
Am I going to have to feed this guy loot all game? He's already asked me for shit twice and I'm getting sick of it.
Three times and then he has a convo with you and it should stop, After you get to Act 2 an event will happen giving him control of it
Oh, that uncle Gale and funny sense of humor!
This fricking c**t literally pulled a "let me frick you or i'll kys myself"
People like this, who come onto their friends are actually pieces of shit and ruin friendships and social groups because they can't imagine a relationship beyond the sexual. Friendships and general companionship is beyond their world view because they view everything carnally, just enjoying their company and being open with them doesn't lead them to think of anything but sex. You can see this in the writers choices for this game, they don't have true friendships and cannot understand two men just being good friend and bonding together so when a normal person chooses a dialogue option that would otherwise be innocuous it ends up being sexual in nature to their shock and surprise even if that's something they would say to somebody in person.
>playersexual games make every companion a piece of shit narcissist
and people wonder why nobody likes playersexual games
I got hit on several times by men in RL, but they never insisted once I said I wasn't interested. This is so dumb the character goes full "now choose me or her" so quickly...
This is the worst rpg and proves my point that homosexual WRITERS PEDDLING THEIR BAD FANFIC NEEDS TO FRICKING STOP
The point of a Pen and paper RPG being a vidya is to resolve combat and character builds faster, not to shove in gay fricking voice actors.
I turned him down. My Paladin Oaths are enough. No need for silly parlor tricks.
The thing that bothers me about this game is that there is no Garrus. There's no bro. Every single male companion without exception is a raging, flaming homosexual. There is also NO WAY to avoid going down at least a flirt route with thme, because it auto happens the moment you talk to them.
once you understand in a meta sense that them hitting on you is just a dev-ordained formality you just reject them and remain bros. i don't know why it's difficult for the extremely autistic to think this way.
Because it's just moronic and unnecessarily forced for every single male companion. There is not a single exception to that rule. Romance dialogue with Shadowheart doesn't even unlock unless you willingly go down a certain path. But with all the male companions they're instantly gay and immedatiely want gay things. None of them are bros, they're just gays. It ruins the friendship and camaraderie aspect for no reason at all.
Sorry to hear you're extremely autistic.
Sorry to hear you're extremely gay
homie u gay
there's nothing wrong with wanting Bros in game versus forced ham fisted globohomosexual hide the sauage adventures
>paying 70 bucks to imagine a friendly bonding event
the friendly bonding event is reassuring your bro you're not sending him to die and there's going to be another way. At least in act one. Haven't completed act two yet.
Mmm new pasta
>The worst part is, there is no option to say "i think you must be confused", or "I never liked you that way".
Yeah it's weird, because Halsin does the same thing but does have options to day that "you misread the signals" at least and he just acts embarrassed for misinterpreting things and is cool with being friends.
Gale has that too but apparently from what other people are saying it is unnecessarily difficult to get and I just stumbled into it.
it's not unnecessarily difficult to pay attention to the options you're given, innocuously ask about his cat, then refrain from asking for a tickle fight
>"I hope our friendship need not come to such an abrupt end."
When he casts the starry sky and you stay there with him, he says he loves you, then you can say you don't feel the same way, he thanks you anyway and that's it.
>Glass Him
To be fair, "Glass him" does not have any alternative meaning as to what actually transpires
The amount of people who misinterpreted this as 'clink glasses' as though they were reminiscing about old times was kinda funny.
They really can’t just let you be friends
I have a bad news for you OP. game algorithm just determined that you're a colossal homosexual in denial. your only option now is to start worshiping wieners.
NTA, no conversations about cats has ever cropped up before he offered to show me magic. Ever.
Meant for
Yes the magic convo is first it's fricking stupid, they VERY obviously wanted you to be forced into that sequence.
yeah it comes after. it's a known meme by now so it's going to be your fault if you fall for that one.
Sounds like an order bug that's probably gonna get nipped sooner or later.
It's not a bug, it's culture war bullshit they want to force you into that very obviously gay sequence.
this is true, I was forced to have gay sex in this game and now I have aids from fricking truckers at rest stops. is there any way I can join a class action against larian for forcing me to be gay?
Bro please just because you're not ass fricking doesn't mean they're not forcing gay shit onto you. The "Gale teaches you magic" sequence is Gale's first backstory cutscene, people aren't going to opt out of the initial skill checks because "maybe this scene where Gale is talking about the goddess of magic will turn gay somehow"
I am ass fricking bro, I am sucking and fricking all of the dicks due to Larian forcing me to be gay in a video game. Why did the israelites do this to me?
do astarion and laezel ape out and demand monogamy if you start sleeping with someone else? they seem like they'd be fine with promiscuity
Don't know, killed both.
The gay shit is incredibly cringe. Personally I don't care that it's in the game, I like the open-endedness of it, but don't shove it in my fricking face and why does every male relationship these days get insanely hyper-sexualized by the media? DO they just not want guys to be friends?
>why does every male relationship these days get insanely hyper-sexualized by the media?
it attracts the fujos who then promote it for free to other people through fanart and smut
>captcha SSXXX
>I never liked you that way
There are several such options worded very similar to that they are just buried in different places. I've personally never seen the show me a magic trick dialogue.
>clear signs he is flirting with you
>several option to shut him down nicely
>spastic chud cant into human interaction
>blames the game
Uff...
>reminiscing about his experience with a goddess
>clear signs he is flirting with you
porn has rotted your gay brain
>add a "romance" or "attraction" bar completely separate from the approval bar
>character has to respond favorably to enough romance prompts to move the bar forward to levels where you can get romance scenes
>no longer immediately get sexually harassed if your approval is high and you actually trigger a romance dialogue option
there, I fixed it, you're welcome
no that blows. I don't want that much control and transparency over it. it takes away the entire point of a romance system if you can so transparently control what the other person feels too
frick off with this romance shit
I have places to be
This game is great, I got turned into cheese and rolled past the guards on the bridge without anyone saying anything. Guess you could say I cheesed it.
Even the most gay person on the earth turns straight with some elven booba.
does orin actually kill halsin
i hope she does so i can get rid of that homosexual, but i'm not holding my breath
She kidnaps either Halsim, Gale or Laezel and if you have All 3 in your party She kidnaps that ginger girl.
Raphael is hyping up some demon in a graveyard crypt.
Is it actually a real threat?
no
You can literally pass a few persuasion checks and convince him to kill himself and all his friends
What's dumb is that warlock, the class that has most expertise with demons and contracts, is the only that can't convince him to kill himself. How fricking moronic that is?
just have one of your other party members do it then
It's a tricky fight because the demon has a pretty big sized army of tanky demons
He actually is. If you fight him.
just clap his cheeks and move on
you can't learn magic if you're not magician and you can't learn magic outside of the learning magic system in the menu
you've been tricked
Quick question, is it possible to murder all of your companions in this game? Or is it like New Vegas where there are some characters you can't kill?
You can kill them, revive them, gaslight them into thinking you didn't kill them, then kill them again. There's also some options that result in them getting killed with no chance for resurrection.
>revive them
in most cases you cannot do that. Also, nice reddit pasta
Murder in this game is pretty casual. I let Laezel slit my throat to see what would happen and I just ragdolled, someone had to use a scroll, and it was never brought up again.
>Or is it like New Vegas where there are some characters you can't kill?
What? Yes Man is the only character you can't kill in NV.
I haven't finished the game because I keep waiting to see if a hotfix will reveal there's more to Minthara's romance.
There's actually a data mined ending for her were she gets pregnant if the player character is male, bur even if they do add that in she probably won't be getting content for a long time.
Count your fricking days Gortash
THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING. I'M IN CHARGE HERE!
I have a question that I haven't seen a good answer to because I'm probably the only one around who has done it: how are the sex scenes handled if you made a male character with a pussy?
i dont know nobody chose that option
>good
The animations don't have any head bobbing or hip moving so nothing is different
>Forcing Astarion to go with the clowns
>"I'll fricking kill you for this"
Astarion is unironically the best companion in the game in terms of sheer comedy value.
>boo Volo when he's captured by the goblins
>Astarion approves
He's honestly based.
He and shadowheart are the best conpanions by far. He’s good even (perhaps specially?) if you hate him. He’s similar to that PoE1 cleric in this regard.
The others are just bad.
None come close to the companions of PS:T, though. If they remade it with 100% of the original script and the production values of BG3 it would be the greatest game ever that would filter Ganker zoomers.
>None come close to the companions of PS:T, though. If they remade it with 100% of the original script and the production values of BG3 it would be the greatest game ever that would filter Ganker zoomers.
The fact that this will never happen fills me with despair
Stranger things have happened. This game made a shitton of money and has probably encouraged Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast to bankroll even more games in the same vein if I had to guess.
The "faithful to the original script" part is what worries me the most, but if it were to ever happen I think I would just quit vidya because nothing would ever compare, just imagine exploring high budget Sigil for the first time
If only he wasn't basically useless in combat unless you go full jank
sounds like a (you) problem
>shitting out sneak attacks is useless
Astarion fricking deletes whoever I point him at, especially since the game hands out magic arrows like candy so he's always launching an M203 at someone in addition to his sneak attack.
Yeah I'm a bit gutted I killed him now. I wish you found him trying to feast on someone else's neck, playing a paladin just makes it seem stupid to not stake him.
if an action doesn't oathbreak there's a reasonable explanation somewhere that a Paladin would have done it
neither reaction to Astarion's silliness results in this, here
guys gotta eat you could have heard him out
>tfw there will never be an Icewind Dale 3 because Icewind Dale's style of game design inlike Baldurs Gate isn't exploitable by ESG hamfisting, and game companies refuse to make anything they can't inject their investors' politics into
There will never be a sequel because the people that made them don't know why people like them
that's why this "modern" CRPG is nothing but cutscenes
>>get to the "teach me magic scene" with Gayle
it was clear as day how he was grooming you into gay shit with the prompts before he asks you about it. told that homie im just into casting giant fireballs and not interested in "dancing" with the weave or whatever frickin homosexual shit he was talking about.
you gay homie
I'm having a blast as necromancer and my party doesn't seem to bother me with gay shit or unwanted sex
what other summoner type classes are fun? I hear spore Druid is, might do that when I play multiplayer with the lads
How was I supposed to know that was what the Cave Explorer spell does??
kill him, homie
Can't fault the gameplay.
The story and particularly the storytelling though is so fricking quippy
Like I'm watching capeshit slop
I can't get into it
Welcome to Larian games
The 90s are over
Planescapeand Fallout 1 can not exist in a cape shit world
Normative dissonance
wasn't DOS 2 pre-capeshit influence? It was reddit back then too
Halsin is such a nothing character, I wish we got a designated dorf bro instead of him
Didn't they make him a companion because fujos collectively dry humped the forums after he was introduced
Should've been Zeblor and his mile long chin. Haslin is nothing but one big bear joke.
So if I give one eye to the hag, and another to volo does that mean i'll have to artificial eyes? sounds metal
So how do you KNOW if the game's locked you into a romance?
I don't want to get halfway through the game and find out that Larian thinks I want Gale to frick me because I ASSUMED this game just had friendly dialogue options
I think Gale is gaybugged there's no way they intended him to keep doing that after repeatedly shooting him down, at least I hope not.
This has happened before and I don't think it's a bug
there's two options:
>Larian is so fricking incompetent and bad at making games that they couldn't get a romance system to work in 6 years
>Larian is doing it on purpose
The other companions haven't done the same kind of shit after turning them down it's only Gale whose romance scenes keep getting triggered.
>after turning them down
I'm not even talking about turning them down and them still thirsting for you, I'm talking about how you have to wienerblock gays at all
>game is filled with homosexuals and everyone is primed and ready to frick my character no matter what
>can't just have a party of good friends without somebody getting butthurt because I don't want to suck their wiener
Wtf larian. You said this would be an adventure. Not the bachelor.
