Story is ass and because they thought making all dialog be in-engine "npcs stand around and talk at you" you can't skip any of it, which is annoying.
Actual gunplay is okay, but again, story is unskippable, poorly written, and there's too much of it, so its hard to enjoy when you keep getting interrupted from your fun so the npcs can spout shitty dialog for five minutes before opening a door.

My PC ran Half Life Alyx better, which granted some of the things Valve does with optimization are like black magic but still cmon.
Gameplay is pretty fun, basically the best in the series. Characters/story/world/everything else is obnoxious and will stop me from ever replaying it.

Even on PS5 it still stutters seemingly at random. Framerate has been pretty consistent though. Menus are STILL not nearly as fast as they need to be, which is insane given the SSD.
Honestly if this game had an option to turn off dialogue and leave just enemy chatter I'd use it. Borderlands 3 is insanely fun and polished, but the writing and characters give me heartburn. That little blue-haired b***h they introduce made me want to drive drunk.

The story and the characters are godawful and the best experience you can have will come from muting them and zoning out whenever someone speaks.

Honestly, I still prefer 2 BUT if they'd redo 2 but in 3's engine, I'd buy it again.. the climbing/sliding mechanics are really good in 3

Get the campaign out of the way ASAP, it's a fricking slog, enjoy the DLC though, it's comfy.. Revengeance of the Cartels is sweet as well.
Plays well but is literally one of the worst written games of all time, with some of the worst characters and dialogue in any fiction medium, ever.
