I hope the remake will be at least alright. it has so much potential but man its so easy to frick it up too. perfect scenario would be filling in all those empty spots on the map, more quests after chapter 1 and more world interaction but keeping the writing and German voice acting intact
The problem with the trailer is that it has no gameplay. I don't think for a moment it's any similar to the shitty demo, but if at this point they are not confident enough to show anything about the game, it's something to be bothered about.
Elex 2 was the worst game of last year by a mile, and I like these games enough that I even considered Risen 3 to be fine
The most aggravating thing is that it was not only bad gameplay wise, it ran like shit, looked like shit and they had quite a decent budget and more time to release it than previous entries. It was an insult.

elex 2 was an absolute trainwreck, for example the writing, for fricks sake, it wasn't even pretending to be a story >hey so I found your barely alive lvl1 ass here, so now you have to create a new faction to unite other factions and to do that you need to recruit valuable people, good luck
elex 1 was far from perfect but at least bearable, occasionally even fun, but this, nope, no way gay

I need to check it out, haven't played Returning for a few years and from what I've seen it looks like some kind of MMO now with a frick ton of guilds, builds, bosses etc.
Yeah I've been playing Gothic mods lately so I'm not sure how far in I am but I've been told it's a 200 hour experience and so far it checks out. They even turned the ghost light thing you get from Vatras into something that picks items up for you. Also, to put things into perspective I'm currently in the Valley after finishing Jarkendar and I have 300 strength but there are still things that wreck me.

Returning has a lot of high level locations where you need to kill a billion undead, orcs and lizards that kill you in a couple of hits so it checks out.
I love Gothic, but it's kinda funny how even for that switch trailer they couldn't find a way to make it not look ugly as sin.
If I was a zoomer that had never heard of the game, that trailer wouldn't sell me on it.

Just finished Gothic 1, planning to start Gothic 2 NOTR and then Archolos for the first time. Don't really care about the remake.
