Because Trey and Matt probably don't even want to deal with another SP game so it's likely they accepted because some studio offered them being in charge of everything
Fair enough, but then the issue is, "if they don't care then why should I?" and in an industry where you want to actually sell your product so you can continue making more, that's not a good stance to take.
If I could have direct contact with the devs, I would STRONGLY pressure them to look into cel-shading techniques. Having a game look like it's come from 1998 just isn't a good look

>if they don't care then why should I?
Because you watch something if it's good, not if it's "cared for" or whatever midwit mental gymnastics you're dancing around with

But you "care" for something, don't you want to do your best to make it "good"?
money
If a studio came up to you and said "We wanna make a new SP game, you'll get a couple million off royalties" and you don't have to do shit, you gonna say no?
>you don't have to do shit
That line of thinking is how we ended up with SP'98, and look how that turned out: Parker & Stone ended up with a product they see as the red-headed step-child

I asked "what does it matter if they care or not?" and that apparently was too complicated of a concept for you to grasp

, it matters if they care bcause "care" pushes one to make something "good", which in most industires means you'll make more money because people will buy the product because it is good and will see that you put care into the product. You really shouldn't rag on others reading comprehension when your own is so poor.

Damn, you still don't understand my question.
I'm not asking "why they should care", I'm asking "what does it matter to YOU, the consumer, if they care"

It matters if THEY care because then they put EFFORT into making GOOD PRODUCT, but at this point I'm just repeating myself. Stop being such an obtuse homosexual.

I've seen plenty of good products come out of authors who didn't give a flying shit, as well as terrible products made by people who poured their soul on it.
You're a midwit and like all midwits function entirely on emotion, then retroactively rationalize your emotional responses. An author caring or not doesn't matter to you, the consumer. Only the quality of the product matters. >B-BUT IF THEY CARE-

don't get me wrong, I agree that not giving a shit is a terrible attitude for creators to have but it's sadly how most of the industry works

Why is Phil so based?
Well, it's their life, it could be that they can't see themselves being happy without doing what they have successfully been doing for the last three decades. i mean, what would they do instead? They explored different things they wanted to do already, like musicals, live action movies, puppets, video games, etc. The show is just their main career and South Park Studios is a big company. I mean, it's not big, but they have dozens of employees and they can't just shut it down.

Precisely because there is zero cel-shading. If you're going to put 2D characters in a 3D environment, you need to make it look st least somewhat stylised, otherwise it just looks like ass
I remember south park on TV literally 30 years ago. This is boomer shit
It's going to be a MOBA and it's going to suck
mark MY words
I hope it's more like Madness Project Nexus
Games that require an active player base to stay "alive" should never get goty
>not an RPG
>3D
Nope already shit.
The 2d look from the last two games was perfect. Why'd they decide to go for the shitty 3d fan game look?
Because Trey and Matt probably don't even want to deal with another SP game so it's likely they accepted because some studio offered them being in charge of everything
They've actually talked about preferring making the games to the show at this point so I doubt that's it.
That just speaks about how sick they are of making the show.
I suppose that is another way of looking at it.
Really though, I would imagine they don't have to do anything anymore so if they didn't care at all why bother?

It's just a nice change of pace that's it. It's not anymore complicated than that.
it's a joke on the N64 title
They went back to their vidya roots, zoom zoom
it's a callback to the awful N64 game. this seems to slip over most peoples' heads
The trailer looked so fricking bad
Windwaker's cel-shading is never EVER going to be topped, is it?
there is zero cel-shading in OP's pic, why did you bring it up
Precisely because there is zero cel-shading. If you're going to put 2D characters in a 3D environment, you need to make it look st least somewhat stylised, otherwise it just looks like ass

>haha the cartoon character said peepee and poopoo that's so funny!
>israelite park
Underage detected
Not gonna happen
Not in the same year Palworld and Untitled Peach Game are coming out
wonder what politics they are going to shove down our throats in this game
>shitty South Park shovelware games from N64 era had more SOUL than modern South Park
How
Matt and Trey deserve misfortune for the Tegridy shit alone
yesh tegridy has been annoying as frick. honestly almost all sp has been bad since the stick of truth.
I mean the whole Garrison is Trump joke didn't last more than 10 seconds and wasn't that funny
Unity asset flip.
Looks better than windwaker
