If you're more of a gameplay mechanics above all else kind of guy, it makes sense to put Mario 64 over the Zelda games. Not everyone cares that much about atmosphere and exploration, and without that, all you get from Zelda is mediocre combat and easy puzzles.

Am I a homosexual or is the game really overrated? I grew up playing it but most of my fond memories is me driving and having the radio up. I hated how slow the progression was, how weak you were, and now I just cheat to be able to get some fun toys. Even then, I just go to the racing games to actually play games all about driving real fast with the radio.
I probably missed what was great about the game but man, it was just annoying how quickly it punishes you for failure.

While all I want is just to drive around, get chased by cops, and enjoy the radio. That was the best part. I played a bit of the original 2 GTAs and I like how mellow it was. You just run around, blow stuff up, and go on phones to do missions. That's it, the game feeds into it's open world.

I probably missed what was great about the game but man, it was just annoying how quickly it punishes you for failure.

The systems are setup so if you decide to be a moron and get 4 stars and die repeatably, you can make the game harder.
While all I want is just to drive around, get chased by cops, and enjoy the radio. That was the best part. I played a bit of the original 2 GTAs and I like how mellow it was. You just run around, blow stuff up, and go on phones to do missions. That's it, the game feeds into it's open world.
i mean i was 12 years old when i played sa, a lot of nostalgia but i kinda loved the challenge, felt like i was really a black guy growing up in the ghetto

quake 1 on release date no source port looks and feels ugly as frick to actually play with really subpar levels/enemies and only got by because off its online dm and full 3d. if it was the exact same game but was still using sprites it would be seen as a dramatic downgrade compared to doom.
