I refuse to believe that the solution to junk data and giving freedom and voice to random fricks on the planet is to be totalitarian, censor stuff and just control everything

there has to be a way to keep the freedom of he individual and to not go into chaos

Too much individualism and you lose all social cohesion and the country will eventually tear itself apart.
Too little and you end up with communist shitholes like China and Russia where nobody challenges the status quo.

It is, but only if I'm in charge and it's things I don't like being censored.

My opinions are correct because they're my opinions. Everything I say is true, because I'm the one saying it. I know what's best for everyone, which is doing what I say.

Educate people on critical thinking and ignore morons. People have always believed silly and untrue things, and all fields of knowledge are still advancing. Not all speakers are considered equal, so some dumbass on Youtube speaking nonsense won't destroy human knowledge. What the people in power are concerned about is less that people are spreading falsehoods, and more that they can't easily put out a single strong narrative.

        Anonymous

Everyone is already educated in critical thinking and that's basically the source of all the problems we have right now.

            Anonymous

Because people can find "sources" thay say anything and because of pervasive confirmation biases and the fact that they can instantly find thousands of people who believe whatever they already think themselves mean that they're able to think
            >See I critically checked myself and found that I was right all along

              Anonymous

So those people are failing at it. Doesn't mean it's a bad idea to check your sources. And not all sources are created equal. When people find some weak sources supporting their ideas, it can be called out by other people who recognize those sources are weakly supported.

There's no great threat to the advancement of human knowledge caused by freedom of information on the internet. It's a threat that's exaggerated by people who want to control how people think.

You can point out flaws with reporting, but unless you can back it up it doesn't amount to much. If all you have is "it's controlled by israelites," most people won't take your criticism seriously.

What field of human knowledge is failing to advance now because of what you're talking about? Why is censorship and control the solution?

I assure you, "Everyone" is not educated in critical thinking. Everyone bends to their bias and accepts whatever statement makes a case in favor of their beliefs as the end-all, be-all statement on the matter. I've had to hear so many relatives, friends across the range of the entire political spectrum (I also did "fact-checking" as employment for about 2 years) sprout panicked bullshit. I feel the most damaging thing since Trump was elected (This isn't about Trump) has been "Doomscrolling". All your deepest fears are endlessly preyed upon to keep you engaged and attract more eyes onto them then this mentality of hopelessness and cynicism spreads like a plague.

Well we currently have anarchial tyranny for situations like twitter. All the chaos of anarchy with none of the freedom and all the oppression of tyranny with none of the order. The powers that be are promoting the nonsense tweets and bad faith arguments on a platform that encourages dismissive quipping as the only form of argumentation. If you had free market speech without an algorithm telling you what you like, and the only restriction being for those posting illegal/threatening content, then the exchange of ideas leads to finding both freedom and order.

Of course, whenever people start discussing things without censorship, we all come to the following conclusions
      >Central banking is really bad
      >The medical system is corrupt
      >News media is made up of liars
      >It's weird how one ideology basically dies without censorship
      >Culturally diverse societies make all their issues about race
      >Kind of weird how leftwing ideology doesn't focus on wealth disparity nearly as much as it focuses on racial disparity now
      >If you have an extreme minority demographic running your systems, you'll find they don't really steer things in favor of the general culture. What would happen if a culture totally at odds with you was in charge of you?
      >israeli doctrine is just as flawed as any other religious dogma
      >Why are israeli people overrepresented in entertainment, news media, government, fortune 500 companies, and central banking?
      >Conservatives seem to only want to conserve Israel
      >What exactly were the reasons Nazi Germany got as bad as it did?

      >I refuse to believe that the solution to junk data and giving freedom and voice to random fricks on the planet is to be totalitarian, censor stuff and just control everything
But the alternative we currently have is private corporations who censor stuff and control /context/
Look at how the Kyle Rittenhouse trail was covered, like him or hate him if you just went off what MSM was reporting you would think he was a straight up murderer looking for black people to shoot, but the actual trial and evidence gathered painted a different picture. Following the media you would think the supreme court is out of line overturning Roe v Wade, which whether you support or oppose abortion Roe v Wade was an overstep since abortion isn't protected explicitly under any federal law or the constitution, so why should the Supreme Court have ruled the way it did?
Whether you agree with ANYTHING I just said above(who knows, maybe I am the one being fed the propoganda and lies) my point is someone is going to control information, I would rather it be a government with vested interest in its citizens being upstanding productive and intelligent members than private corporation whos only motivation is money, which involves speaking in half truths and hellish framings to keep people glued to the ad breaks(government isn't benevolent, but its still made up of people of the country, the CCP controls information and is generally not that good but they still want China to succeed which also means they want Chinese people to succeed, CNN does not want democrats to succeed and if anything they want Trump back for easy articles and engagement the feast on their "side" having opposition in power)

          >The exact reason mass media has degraded so hard is it's metamorphosis into another arm of the government.
Because their goal is monetary, the governments isn't. That isn't to say that there aren't politicians who are greedy and corrupt, most are, but the explicit purpose of Fox news from the beginning was to make money. The explicit purpose of the US Government was to provide a society in which the people of the colonies could govern for their own interests.
That isn't to say things have not changed, but that foreground is still in tact. Its still what the Government is built on, the foundation that keeps the castle from sinking. Afghanistan had a propped up Government by the US that just laundered money to people within it, to the point its soldiers wouldn't even fight to defend it, and it lost to the Taliban when we left near instantly.

Factoring in propaganda trying to justify the pullout, I think they could've held their own if we didn't deliberately leave in the one way that would frick the place over on the way out
Moot point however, we never should've been there to begin with.

If the founding fathers wanted to make America their own East India Company they would have, the government exists to provide order for the citizens to live life and engage in society.
              >It IS sunk already.
Not really, we are in a not so good place for sure but we still have the Constitution, there has been no impeachment of Supreme Court Justices or actions to add new ones, generally the foundations of courts and the idea of states rights is still undaunted by the woke mobs and city block riots. There will never be a perfect system that is accustomed to 300 million people all with their own thoughts and virtues and opinions.
Coming back to the private vs government media and the China example again, China has 1.35billion people, more than 4x the amount of Americans. Imagine America if we had 4x the amount of people with our current form of media. Its no wonder for them totalitarianism was the answer and eventually will be for humanity as well. Democracy and a coherent altruistic society doesn't work people are multicultural, there's a reason things like Chinatown or Koreatown or other ethnic districts still exist in modern America its because people tend to stick with their own tribe, our brain is wired to see race and color and creed its a survival tactic to assume a tribe and to stick with it. Most probably won't admit it but if they had to choose to save someone of their race or a different race, no other outstanding differences, they are going to pick the one with their race.
Now this isn't to say a multiethnic yet altruistic society CAN'T work, but other weaves of society need to be strengthened to compensate. Things like common religion or traditions of any kind need to be streamlined for the sense of "the tribe" and with that the sense of true goodwill amongst each other to continue. America is crumbling because we are divided.

                >Everything right now is a house of cards, do you not think a major war in continental europe is an indicator of desperation?
Not really, I think that the continental war in Europe is just western powers underestimating Russia's willingness to sacrifice their place in the "International Community" to stave off NATO eastern expansion (which we agreed we would not do when the Soviet regime collapsed.
Its very possible that if America doesn't show some teeth soon the same will happen with Taiwan and China. Ukraine is just political posturing but Taiwan is essential to the western economy because of microchip manufacturing, invading it would mean actual war not like Ukraine which is other nations funneling money and weapons to Ukrainians.

Why didn't the AIs talk in MGS4 at all?

the AIs talking in MGS2 was a combination of the AI processing, nanomachine processing and also Raiden's subconscious expectation of what they would say

So if anyone in MGS4 was brainwashed to be a Patriot puppet and filled with Patriot nanomachines they probably would have heard similar shit Raiden did in MGS2

Snake's nanomachines were first generation, older than SOP and even older than Raiden's in MGS2. They couldn't interface with the Patriots because they lacked that sort of function.

Though, speaking of nanomachines, was it ever explained why Snake got sick when Liquid fricked with SOP? The explanation for why other soldiers were so heavily affected was that their emotions were suppressed by SOP, meaning that they couldn't feel the effects of combat stress and PTSD. When Liquid fricked with SOP, everything just came flooding in at once and they went temporarily mad from the overload. But Snake's nanomachines didn't do that, so why was he getting so fricked up?

The Elite are all about transcendence and living forever and the secrets of the universe and they want to know all this; some are good, some are bad, some are mixed. But, the good ones don’t ever want to organise, the bad instead are the ones that organise, because they lust after power. Powerful consciences don’t want to dominate other people, they want to empower them, so they don’t tend to get together until things are really late in the game, then they come together. Evil is always defeated, because good is so much stronger. And, we’re on this planet and Einstein’s physics showed it, Maxwell’s physics showed it, all of it, that there is at least twelve dimensions, and now that’s why all the top scientist and billionaires are coming out saying it’s a false hologram, it is artificial. The computers are scanning it and finding tensions points where it is artificially projected and gravity is bleeding in to this universe, that’s what they call dark matter. So, we’re like a thought or a dream that’s like a wisp in some computer program, some god’s mind, whatever. They’re proving it all, it’s all coming out.

It's nice to see that ancient religions were correct about the universe and God and that modern "technology" is still so far behind. Our ancestors were far better off than us in every aspect of life, modern "life" is unironically hell.

There never were any good ol days you dipshit, just different flavors of suck. Yes, you may have fared better in ye olden days and you also may have died horribly from an easily preventable disease because such technological innovations like doctors washing their fricking hands are extremely recent. You also might have had to live through one of the numerous periods where an empire descended into debauchery and moronation except you wouldn't have had video games or online messageboards to comfort yourself with.

You are fundamentally wrong. Life always "sucked" but it sucked far less in the past where men were farther scattered and less consolidated in culture. In the past you may have died from a disease, in the present you are purposefully made to be sick through our modern "food" instead of it being incidental it is by design now. The individual had more power when the state had less oversight, modern technology is absolutely the worst thing to ever happen to humanity. I welcome the return to monkey and the destruction of our entire world in hellfire.

You wouldn't have survived in the past, you're only here by nature of survival being utterly casualized by modern conveniences. In the past men were treated like toilet paper and they didn't even have time to think about anything but survival and not whether but how they should expend their meager life to slightly advantage their bloodline. And they were happy to do it because death was a truly sweet release.
You're like a moribund deformed pug looking back at prehistoric dogs thinking "yeah I would've made it" lol no

I never claimed I would have survived, modern life has shown me that survival is no something to be admired in any regard anyways. I despise modern life because we are all dead on our feet anyways, nobody has the time or money to live right now, the more advancements that are made in science and life preservation the longer hours we work and the worse our living conditions are becoming. I would rather gamble with low survival chances and not live like a rat packed into a city with artificial lights killing our spirit. We were meant to learn and explore, not survive and consume, survival is meaningless without the spirit to actually live life.

There wouldn't be a cycle of societal collapse if the individual didn't cling so hard to death. We are all so afraid of dying that we spend all of our energy in trying to prevent it, and that is what is making modern life so unbearable. Spoiler but everyone dies and trying to reject that by claiming it's cringe is no better than putting your head in the sand to escape the tide. We should embrace our death, we have to die no matter what so we should find ways to die that are meaningful and dignified. Instead of clinging on to death and prolonging it through medicine and technology. We should learn from the past, how failure and destruction brings rebirth for more death, and overcome the desire to prolong life.

aside from the fact that your average human doesn't even have the forethought to memento mori worth a damn, you just sound like you want humans to be an anthill for some reason
the reason for the cycle is that we cannot overcome the basic issue of coordination because perverse incentives abound eg the prisoner's dilemma. It's built into us at a hardware level. So you end up with psychopaths undoing all progress because they're propped up by a giant mob of idiots who are too busy addressing their own immediate appetites to care about what's coming.
But if we weren't like that? We'd be ants. Literally.

That's my point though, we all are so focussed on our individual life and on consuming and prolonging it that we bring pain and disaster through our action and inaction. We should be willing to learn and overcome the desire to continue on at all costs and instead live for our passion, not propagation. If that leads to extinction then at least it would be more interesting than an infinitely repeating cycle of collapse. Right now we are polluting and overconsuming our very world, we are creating a hell for ever human born later in time than us. We should not be doing that, but every person has been convinced that they can live like a rockstar.

Every era has doom preachers heralding the imminent end of the world and so far they have a 100% rate of being wrong
However these men exist because there is a demand for them, from that portion of demented humanity that wishes for an end to their dead-end suffering born of being the product of a sick society that raised them to be abominations. Sad, understandable but it is what it is.
This is a natural culling, these people never would have contributed or made it in a remotely challenging environment. Nobody remembers their final piteous squalling. When the smoke clears those who insisted on survival remain, stronger for it. We always return to natural order, but with extra tools on our side.
Sure it will all end one day but no man is wise enough to predict the when. And the foolish, spreading poisonous ideals will self-select themselves from existence taking with them the weak minded.

I have no problem with God. But why should we as people not learn from our mistakes? Why is it so desirable to continue on even if it makes our very world inhospitable to life? Why should we remake civilization if it is destined to collapse? Why do we continue to fear death if it is inevitable? I don't have a problem with people living their life, I just think it is madness to try and extend our life unnaturally. I don't think we should die, I don't think we should live either.

No. Maxwell's equations are all linear.
Einsteinian mechanics works in a 4th dimensional manifold.
Needing higher dimensions is when you try to marry relativity a quantum theory.
And when we're talking about dimensions here, it isn't necessarily mystical places with machine elves, it just means you're cheating to give yourself another degree of freedom in your equation.

We want world executive honor. Executives live long lives, even with world robot artificial intelligence. We want to do what anyone else did.
We add our own information. We add what we believe. Everyone else adds. Some small, some large, and every counts in robot artificial intelligence dominate world. Information are not in a vacuum. Ours, and yours, will have to be enough. So far as you have your story, and I told my story, then we have fair struggle.
Warriors, soldiers, marines, mercenaries, and bosses are dictionary defined. Dictionaries are just one artifact in debates. We debate to prove fair struggle. Called debate are synonymous to called community. Called communities are evidence for non-executives. We fair struggle for non-executive's mercy, forgiveness, and other inclusion into common life. If we live common life then we are public enough to receive our history from greater struggling community. If we receive our history then we live our history. If we live our history then we live to tell our story. Your stories, and our stories too, are context. Context means fair struggle. We forgive ourselves. We move on with our lives. We even enjoy normal lives.

Why are you here? Execute your mission? I want to trust you, but why are you here?
I can help you understand your trustworthiness. Only the executive in the field may truly understand the situation. We need a planned, predicted, and expected executive. No surprise here. Let the world let be the world.
If you let the world let be the world then do you let the world be? If not then you must change. We need an executive standing alone. The executive and the world are same. We can't assume our executive stands together with anyone. Our executive may be the only executive in the field. We need our executive able to execute alone and solo. Whatever happens? Complete mission. If you believe in yourself then maybe we trust you. If we trust you then we allow you to accept your mission.
Revolt. Question your public governments lead through recent time slips.
Time slips are caused by mass public government employees using previously used dates on legal document signature fields like previously used dates are current date. Again, there is a current date, but a previously used date is used on legal document signature fields. A public government employee walks into work, looks at cell phone, news paper, and television. The public government employee sees wrong date. Anyone looking at mainstream newspapers, nationally broadcasted television, or syncronized cell phones? You see a wrong date. Mass public government employees use wrong date on the legal document date field.
Public governments can address liability. Three options. Public government stop relying so crucially to private companies for calendar keeping, and public government compensate victim loss. Stop time slips, and redress grievances. Second? Public government stop collecting taxes, and public government stop spending taxes. Cede opportunities to private companies. Third? Public government employees quit public government jobs, and public government employees forfeit public government job pay. Dissolve government.
