Frick if I know.
The souls series all had shit combat and terrible controls with a bullshit story.
The fun was in exploration of finely crafted level design and tough but fair bosses given the control jank. ER and DS2 failed horribly on that last bit, Bloodborne did the overall strength of the series the best.
He said Demon's Souls was his favorite because it didn't rely heavily on the combat and le epic boss fights, which is correct, Demon's Souls is an amazing game because of the sense of exploration and the boss fights were all unique encounters and not just soulless anime fights.
Demon and Dark souls 1 focused on things that no other game was doing and had masterfully put the player in the shoes of the character.
The newer games have moved to focus more on combat which isn't very complex so the pull to play a fromsoft game is weaker. If he wants to play an action game he would rather play Bayonetta or wonderful 101.
A series that has gotten worse and worse designed over time because they are beholden to a difficulty reputation caused by a trash marketing campaign when DS1 was ported to CP
Dark Souls >there's not much to say about it that hasn't already been said. While the game became famous for difficulty memes the interconnected world blew me away in a way no other game in the series has done so since
Bloodborne >a very fresh setting and the pinnacle of their standard combat system. While still simple they did a lot to make combat feel visceral and satisfying, changes like replacing the clunky dodge roll with a sidestep and the audio cues for charged attacks and the trick weapon transformations really helps sell the combat. While enemies are much faster than DaS the game boosts your movement in turn so it always feels fair
Dark Souls 2 >shit
Dark Souls 3 >inferior bloodborne combat, every problem that plagues Elden Ring has its roots in this game. Intricate world design replaced with a linear path, obnoxious areas with no cohesion. Bosses are cool I guess but this game also doubles down on the bosses being the only thing that matters instead of the world as a whole.
Elden Ring >first areas are magical but the flaws really start to show the more you play. Combat is spastic and unsatisfying only redeemed by the huge variety of toys to mess around with. Reused enemies make later areas a drag and the combat really doubles down on its reputation with delayed attacks, spastic combos with no clear openings, blatant input reading. But overall I'd still say I enjoyed it enough that I platinumed the game.
he was right in that they're good up to dks1, but elden ring is bad just like dks2, dks3, are bad. sekiro he would say is good however, and bloodborne was a step in the right direction.
He was making a video about it but stopped because it was to similar to his Demon Souls video. He was of the opinion that it was a step in the right direction trough.

I'm glad he made your opinion for you.
its good to have your opinion align with the truth
The truth being defined by e-celeb video essays (pbuh).
I've never played a Souls game but I feel like this is correct.
>Demon's Souls was his favorite because it didn't rely heavily on the combat and le epic boss fights
The set of bosses in Stonefang Tunnel alone prove he's wrong on that
flamelurker might be one of the few who has an ER style arena

DeS & DS1 had a wide variety of elements that made them standout from other games.
Later From games have mainly just focused on combat. If you compare them to other combat-focused games they're pretty shoddy.
what do you think of the souls series without any input from e-celebs
The true ludokino lineage: Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro
Lazy cash grab line: Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3, Elden Ring

I hate Bloodborne and Demon's Souls snoys who have no original thought in their posts.
he was right in that they're good up to dks1, but elden ring is bad just like dks2, dks3, are bad. sekiro he would say is good however, and bloodborne was a step in the right direction.
hang on though,
game cant be bad because its hard
>sekiro he would say is good however
about that...
i'm guessing he didn't want to play it because hes burnt out on learning even timings
That's embarrassing lol, even I managed to beat Sekiro and I have hand eye coordination problems.
how do you have hand eye coordination problems? anyway i just speculated.
He was making a video about it but stopped because it was to similar to his Demon Souls video. He was of the opinion that it was a step in the right direction trough.
hated that the game was advertised as having stealth when the enemies are humans but as intelligent as the undeads from souls
What happened to the 2D action game he was working on
Genuinely who cares what this drunk moron thinks?
me
I am right about the souls series.
What is your opinion?
>WOW, LOOK, ECELEBS!
>eceleb
don't think they exist m8
Oh loooord Elden Ring DLC is FILTERING these kids like a motherfricker!
Friendly reminder Kai Cenat is a glorified clown and he's beating this game in less than two weeks.
>our series has been so flanderized that a clown Black person is playing it and praising it (and is being paid by from, btw)
not a good look
Lot of words to say "I'm getting beat by a clown".
you can level-up and use summons so it's only pseudo-hard

You frickers make me want to defend ER so bad even though I hated it.
why? contrarianism?
I'm just tired of moronic shitposts and the same hate threads clogging the catalogue. I did the same with TLOU2.
weird take, you're in good company, wuit being a gay
hes also right about god of war
