The last few updates have been great, my performance is better and I get far less bugs and crashes then I used to.

Both right and wrong. It depends on how close together your team is. 2 groups of 2 will have seperate spawning waves, 1 group of 4 will have a single spawn wave, 4 solo players on each side of the map will have 4x the enemies spawning. I think the threshold for player distance from each other before being considered a seperate "group" is like 100m or something.

I legit got frustrated for the first time with the game.
Am I missing something strategically with these things? On one of the missions I even had a Quasar Cannon, but with the cool down, the fact one rocket didn't take them down, and the amount of them, we were getting raped.
You cannot do higher level missions without someone having anti-armor weapons, so this was a skill + knowledge issue on your part

if no one can deal with them it keeps on adding up, especially if there is a detector tower nearby or you had repeat engagements with bots, when bots engage you they will call for gunship support but they have a longer travel time than bot drops
The higher level missions you do, you also want to learn how to not engage as many enemies, they will overwhelm you, turrets/drones have a tendency to keep you perma engaged

Autocannon and AMR delete them if you hit the engines and are less punishing than missing with the quasar. You always have the option of just saying "frick that" and leaving the area unless you have two towers right next to your objectivealong with a jammer tower
Just shoot them, preferably in their engines. Autocannon, Quasar, RR & EAT if you're good enough. I think even the Scorcher/Dominator can take them down with sustained fire. Autocannon Sentry maybe (will prob get rocketed to oblivion though). There's dedicated AA options coming, but even now it's doable. I'm sure even without all of those you can try running smokes to get right up to the towers and get the hellbomb down. Next time, try shooting them down before advancing into poundtown-killzone.

My friends felt the same way at first. The first time we tried to beat one on difficulty 7 we got wrecked. One of my buddies started whining that it was the first time he hadn’t had fun doing something in the game.
Now we just run x3 AMR and maybe a quasar cannon and it’s really not that big of a deal. You just have to cover someone from a distance so they can get close enough to drop the hellbomb, and you have to do it fast. Once too many dropships have spawned, you’re screwed and have to circle back to the objective later.
Overall it’s way too difficult to be a side objective. It’s definitely the hardest objective in the entire game.
Before my friend bought the game, I was already lvl37 and have crushed many missions 7-9 difficulty, I had just taken a break from 7 to get my friend up to speed and got bamboozled by these gunships

Its a fear thing most likely (was for me) because if you crouch and take a second to aim its piss easy

AMR and Railgun both are solid. It's all about hitting the weakpoint and noticing before that flamer hulk is right on top of you.
Also orbital or eagle call ins can help in a pinch.

if you're getting staggered back up from the fight and engage the hulk at a distance, 2-3 shots in the eye of the hulk will bring it down. If you can't kill it on your current difficulty try dropping the diff and going solo for the sole reason of finding a hulk and shooting it in the eye. Practice how the line up feels
that's why I recommend quasar, you can just bodyshot twice
the only thing that one hit kills them is near fully charged railgun to the eye, everything else takes two shots

EDF didn't fail, it just never evolved from the first incarnations of games. It's the same thing multiple times, while fun, didn't change up the formula.
AI needs some team-control tactics or the ability to ground itself. It's always been full B-Movie "I am the hero" stuff while helldivers comes more in a grueling reality is that "if everyone is a hero, no one is, you are all expendable."
If Helldivers 2 has some urban landscapes soon I think it would just make EDF look supremely dated at this point.

For balancing the mingun, the obvious strength and tradeoffs to me:
1. Huge fire rate, huge supply of ammo, very high effective DPS. If the minigun doesn't feel like a mingun and make an amazing buzzsaw noise, don't bother. Give it lots of tracers to for extra cool. Don't try to give it crazy recoil or anything, just let it do its job.
2. Backpack + speed debuff. Taking up a backpack slot is common to balance support weapons, it makes sense with the large amount of ammo you are getting. A speed debuff is a big deal. It's a tradeoff that will hurt your mobility but allow you to keep the raw power aspect. You can shred, but when things get stick you can' run away well or get to cover fast. You might consider even dropping it in certain situations, gambling on being able to recover it later.
One other potential option as the tradeoff is limiting it's call ins like the mech. Very strong, but if you lose it, you aren't getting it back
If you don't bring mortars to defense missions you're clinically moronic because each one you place will get like 30 or more kills by itself
I did a helldive defense recently where we had 6 mortars(two esp) and I got in an exo. By the time my exo was out of ammo we were at 85% with all the reinforcements available
If you stick together, you should be fine, the bots come from the outside in and likely nothing will get close enough for teamkills to happen till mortars are out of ammo at which point the mission is already almost over.
Bots are more fricky but because they're more fricky teamkills matter less
380mm is a genuine strategy in bot extermination because most likely thing will go nuclear and at that point people are dying frequently anyway
I own a LAS-99 Quasar Cannon for sufficiently-sized home defense, since that's what the president of Super Earth intended.
Four Scout Striders break into my house. "LIBERTY, SAVE ME!" as I grab my helmet and trusty laser cannon. Blow a man-sized hole through the first strider's armor, it's dead on the spot. Draw my FAF-14 Spear on the second strider, miss it entirely because the lockon is bugged and it kills the neighbor's hamster. I have to resort to manually arming the Hellbomb I have planted at the top of the stairs. "HOW ABOUT A NICE CUP OF LIBER-TEA!" The Hellbomb shreds two striders along with my house in the blast, the explosion destroys an illegal research station which gives me +20 exp and raises my citizenship level by a half grade. Throw stun grenades and circle around the last terrified strider. It dies helplessly waiting for the bot drop to arrive as I shoot him from behind because everyone knows striders are only protected from the front, just as the president of Super Earth intended.

Maybe. The liberation drain rate was at 1.5% yesterday and now is at 0.5%, and with the increase of players from the weekend, we have a chance of getting all three planets

On more chad-like difficulties (read: 7 and above) It was nearly impossible without a really good team especially since Bile Titans can just shut them down with one puke

I played the tower defense missions on Helldive and did fine with randos. I brought the Recoilless Rifle to deal with chargers and bile titans, and the map had spare ammo galore.
Yeah. Just hang out and do whatever. Devs will eventually just flag it as a victory until they think everyone is slacking off to much in which case they throw in a "wake up loss" before they put the carrot back on the stick and continue onward with complete victories.
I feel like sniper weapons have no place in a game as high intensity as this. Sure, you can take a shot here or there with your AMR, but for the vast majority of the time you will be using something that is more suited for direct combat.
They would really need to do some radical changes to how detection works to make actually sniping through missions viable.
It's hardly a skill issue when firing your weapon alerts everything in a mile radius to your exact location after which it's open warfare and you have to move and fight, to which the precision weapons are not a very good fit.
I never claimed it was hard to use, I said that the situations one finds oneself in the most in this game are not very conducive to methodical sniping and instead call for something akin to quickscoping, which in my humble opinion is fake in addition to also being gay.
You don't need to quick scope, just don't aim like a geriatric. Grab some cover, peak, nail the weak point shots. Wash and repeat. AMR is high tier right now, even with a bug.

Literally impossible because the game spawns patrols around players that are set to cross through the location the player was in when the patrol spawned. If you stay still for long enough, the game will spawn a patrol that heads towards you.

The point isn't whether or not you can deal with a patrol (because of course you can), it is that the game is set up in such a way that you are not allowed to be sneaky once shots have been fired. You are forced to fight in open combat for the vast majority of the time.

If you want to sit 500m away from the fighting and never find yourself in any actual danger while letting your allies do the grunt work so you can get the occasional headshot on an enemy, this isn't the right game for that.

The intensity certainly raises the skill floor for precision weapons, but games like Killing Floor and EDF show us that they can really shine in the right hands. Especially in a game like this where enemies actually have armor.
I just stopped picking support weapons and backpacks and just wing the missions, much more fun to just find weapons on the map. Also I take the other helldivers second drop if possible, frees up more big boom strategems to kill all the bullshit on the map. Works well on 8 and below, but probably sucks on helldive

My biggest problem with the arc thrower is it's random ass firing. It's pretty fun but annoying when you've killed so many damn bugs with the damn thing that the bodies piling up are starting to eat up a lot of your shots.

This. I did a 9 with randoms who all sprinted off to do their own thing, so I did the same. None of us were troubled. I made it through a bunch of hairy shit with 30+ samples and extracted without a single death. This game gets me to focus like no other.

it clears the structures in the base, moron, which is all you should really be concerning yourself with. great for hitting isolated fabricators so you can save your eagle airstrikes for pairs of fabricators near each other

No. Recommend anything except this unreliable piece of shit. There's a reason 99% of the playerbase takes railcannon when they need a single high damage stratagem to execute a heavy, it's because it reliably hits that heavy. The rocket pods miss the targets half the time, it wouldn't be avoided so often if it was accurate.

Enemy respawn/patrol routes should be directly linked to the amount of holes/factories you destroy, nothing infuriates me more than blowing up a factory and having a merry band of bots wandering from the exact same direction.

The quasar's infinite ammo just makes the spear's ammo count a joke now. I tried taking the spear to diff 6 bots yesterday and the 4+1 rockets disappear within 90 seconds with how many targets you have. Still don't know what the purpose of this weapon is.
almost all the crashes are in reward screen now, mercifully, so you're still making progress. man is it infuriating though. the game really does just get less stable with each patch.

Are some of the low end eagles and orbitals like strafing run or gatling orbital any good? I assumed they were low level trash, and even their little preview video looks so bad.
eagle cluster bomb is the best trash clearer. Your starting precision orbital strike is great for building clearing and potentially smacking heavy armor.
Orbital airburst is good vs. Bug breaches with is suppression over time of a singular area.
Advantages are usually that they have a lot of charges before needing to reload. Strafing run is the only one that has a vertical path from the launch point. Eagle airburst is like all airbursts so it's pretty effective in a good area against mediums and smalls.
- Cluster bomb has massive AoE. Best trash clear bar none but doesnt do anything to tanks/buildings
- Normal airstrike destroys buildings and medium targets. Perfect for lobbing into bases/bug hives.
Cluster is breddy gud at trash, gatling is terrible, strafing ranges between terrible and decent depending on your situation, airburst can be good if you drop it right on top of bot drops/bug breaches. 500kg is still the second best all rounder eagle, though in my opinion its a bit more useful for bugs than bots.
aim for weakpoints, charge till at least the gauge is making wilder spiky animation, release your trigger from the finger, watch things die at any distance. More charge, more kill.
One tap most medium armor enemies consistently, shoot through devastator shields, 1 - 2 shot hulks, shoots bot planes out of sky, good ammo efficiency, wear your choice of backpack.

Hard cover does all that already without relying on a long stratagem cooldown. There are only very few cases where there is no viable cover and you can't actually know in advance that you're going to eat shit around an extraction point that has little to no cover. And as I mentioned earlier, if you're getting swarmed, it's not gonna last long enough to meaningfully matter so it's not really worth the gamble or the strat slot.
If you are getting swarmed with devastator rockets, it means that either
A. You're moronic, didn't pay attention to enemy positioning and got yourself surrounded by rockets devs
or
B. Haven't killed or de-rocketed all rocket devastators because you don't have long range support weapons or strategems because your wasted a strategem slot on fricking shield bubble.
Shield lets you be aggro, it's great. I use it to stand in the open and just unload all the time. No getting sniped by stray rockets clipping me either.

I just find darktide to be completely flavorless and modern, corporate. Warhammer's charm was that it was an obscure, if successful, tabletop game that nobody in a suit and tie ever gave a shit about so it could be as outrageous and fun as it wanted to be. The railgun got nerfed because it was not only just as versatile as the Autocannon, but also more mobile, didn't require a backpack, and filled all those roles better than the Autocannon did without even requiring you to use unsafe mode.
The autocannon is balanced because it'a either good or decent at everything, but it's also not the best at anything.
Autocannon's been the sleeper-GOAT since launch. Railgun was put on pedestal because it was easy to use, killed Chargers/Titans quickly and you could bring a shield or jumppack. Railtard Bug players raved about it so much that they became their own downfall.

Increase the charge speed by 1.5x
Change the arc, angle, and height based on armor weight.
Light armor gives you the most height, but the least amount of forward thrust.
Medium armor is more like a perfectly curved arc. Balanced height and distance.
Heavy armor gets the least amount of upward thrust, but you hover over the longest distance.

It depends on how close together your team is. 2 groups of 2 will have seperate spawning waves, 1 group of 4 will have a single spawn wave, 4 solo players on each side of the map will have 4x the enemies spawning. I think the threshold for player distance from each other before being considered a seperate "group" is like 100m or something.

Yesterday was the first day I felt frustration with the game. I don't play too often, and my friend just got the game a week and a half ago so I had been helping him through lower levels and difficulties to learn the ropes and unlock stuff. We finally decided to try 7 difficulty, and I am not sure if these things only start appearing on 7, or we just somehow havent ran into them yet, but the bot missions with gun ship towers are fricked.
We were ill prepared (no good support weapons for taking them down), but even then, they spawned like 5 of them at once it was impossible to blow up the towers because the time it takes to call a hellbomb in, activate it, and pray that it doesn't get blown up while you are activating it. I legit got frustrated for the first time with the game.
Am I missing something strategically with these things? On one of the missions I even had a Quasar Cannon, but with the cool down, the fact one rocket didn't take them down, and the amount of them, we were getting raped.
You cannot do higher level missions without someone having anti-armor weapons, so this was a skill + knowledge issue on your part

if no one can deal with them it keeps on adding up, especially if there is a detector tower nearby or you had repeat engagements with bots, when bots engage you they will call for gunship support but they have a longer travel time than bot drops
The higher level missions you do, you also want to learn how to not engage as many enemies, they will overwhelm you, turrets/drones have a tendency to keep you perma engaged

Autocannon and AMR delete them if you hit the engines and are less punishing than missing with the quasar. You always have the option of just saying "frick that" and leaving the area

Just shoot them, preferably in their engines. Autocannon, Quasar, RR & EAT if you're good enough. I think even the Scorcher/Dominator can take them down with sustained fire. Autocannon Sentry maybe (will prob get rocketed to oblivion though). There's dedicated AA options coming, but even now it's doable. I'm sure even without all of those you can try running smokes to get right up to the towers and get the hellbomb down. Next time, try shooting them down before advancing into poundtown-killzone.

My friends felt the same way at first. The first time we tried to beat one on difficulty 7 we got wrecked. One of my buddies started whining that it was the first time he hadn’t had fun doing something in the game.
Now we just run x3 AMR and maybe a quasar cannon and it’s really not that big of a deal. You just have to cover someone from a distance so they can get close enough to drop the hellbomb, and you have to do it fast. Once too many dropships have spawned, you’re screwed and have to circle back to the objective later.
Overall it’s way too difficult to be a side objective. It’s definitely the hardest objective in the entire game.
Before my friend bought the game, I was already lvl37 and have crushed many missions 7-9 difficulty, I had just taken a break from 7 to get my friend up to speed and got bamboozled by these gunships

if you're getting staggered back up from the fight and engage the hulk at a distance, 2-3 shots in the eye of the hulk will bring it down. If you can't kill it on your current difficulty try dropping the diff and going solo for the sole reason of finding a hulk and shooting it in the eye. Practice how the line up feels

Why did Helldivers succeed while EDF failed?
EDF didn't fail, it just never evolved from the first incarnations of games. It's the same thing multiple times, while fun, didn't change up the formula.
AI needs some team-control tactics or the ability to ground itself. It's always been full B-Movie "I am the hero" stuff while helldivers comes more in a grueling reality is that "if everyone is a hero, no one is, you are all expendable."
If Helldivers 2 has some urban landscapes soon I think it would just make EDF look supremely dated at this point.

For balancing the mingun, the obvious strength and tradeoffs to me:
1. Huge fire rate, huge supply of ammo, very high effective DPS. If the minigun doesn't feel like a mingun and make an amazing buzzsaw noise, don't bother. Give it lots of tracers to for extra cool. Don't try to give it crazy recoil or anything, just let it do its job.
2. Backpack + speed debuff. Taking up a backpack slot is common to balance support weapons, it makes sense with the large amount of ammo you are getting. A speed debuff is a big deal. It's a tradeoff that will hurt your mobility but allow you to keep the raw power aspect. You can shred, but when things get stick you can' run away well or get to cover fast. You might consider even dropping it in certain situations, gambling on being able to recover it later.
One other potential option as the tradeoff is limiting it's call ins like the mech. Very strong, but if you lose it, you aren't getting it back

I did a helldive defense recently where we had 6 mortars(two esp) and I got in an exo. By the time my exo was out of ammo we were at 85% with all the reinforcements available
You have less space to play in defense missions EMS mortars are fine. You're just gonna kill your own team more often than not
If you stick together, you should be fine, the bots come from the outside in and likely nothing will get close enough for teamkills to happen till mortars are out of ammo at which point the mission is already almost over.
Bots are more fricky but because they're more fricky teamkills matter less
380mm is a genuine strategy in bot extermination because most likely thing will go nuclear and at that point people are dying frequently anyway

I feel like sniper weapons have no place in a game as high intensity as this. Sure, you can take a shot here or there with your AMR, but for the vast majority of the time you will be using something that is more suited for direct combat.
They would really need to do some radical changes to how detection works to make actually sniping through missions viable.

It's hardly a skill issue when firing your weapon alerts everything in a mile radius to your exact location after which it's open warfare and you have to move and fight, to which the precision weapons are not a very good fit.
Anon, the AMR is not hard to use. Every single heavy gun requires you to take a moment to stabilize and aim, the AMR does it faster than all of them.
I never claimed it was hard to use, I said that the situations one finds oneself in the most in this game are not very conducive to methodical sniping and instead call for something akin to quickscoping, which in my humble opinion is fake in addition to also being gay.
You don't need to quick scope, just don't aim like a geriatric. Grab some cover, peak, nail the weak point shots. Wash and repeat. AMR is high tier right now, even with a bug.
The whole crux of my issue is that you are not allowed that quintessential sniper experience and have to partake in fights that you could stay in the sidelines of in other games, and this is due to how the detection system (as well as the patrol spawning) in the game works.

Literally impossible because the game spawns patrols around players that are set to cross through the location the player was in when the patrol spawned. If you stay still for long enough, the game will spawn a patrol that heads towards you.
Dude, you're moronic. Even if there were a patrol, I have a radar that I can check. Situational awareness is ALSO a skill issue. Plus I'm pretty sure I wasn't 100 meters away from at least one member of my team, thus, no zone separation. Oh, and the game can only spawn so many enemies.
The point isn't whether or not you can deal with a patrol (because of course you can), it is that the game is set up in such a way that you are not allowed to be sneaky once shots have been fired. You are forced to fight in open combat for the vast majority of the time.

You can absolutely have someone out of combat and hidden and untargeted while everyone else is fighting atleast vs bots
If you want to sit 500m away from the fighting and never find yourself in any actual danger while letting your allies do the grunt work so you can get the occasional headshot on an enemy, this isn't the right game for that.
The quintessential sniper experience is sitting still for 12 hours while watching a target, taking one shot, then running away.
Which is exactly why I originally mused that having sniper weapons in a game of this intensity seems like something they felt that needed to be in the game because it is a shooter rather than actually fulfilling a niche playstyle.
I don't know about you, man, but the AMR fills a pretty good role right now when it comes to rapidly eliminating medium-armored bots at range. It also feels pretty good to use.
It is for sure an effective weapon, no doubt. But the issue I have is the way it needs to be used in short bursts and on the move, instead of how one would normally imagine a marksman to engage.

The intensity certainly raises the skill floor for precision weapons, but games like Killing Floor and EDF show us that they can really shine in the right hands. Especially in a game like this where enemies actually have armor.

oh believe me, that's what i do, i at least offer a courtesy "just bail, no reason to take that fight" in voice chat but if they aren't getting the message then they are on their own. most people at high difficulty are competent enough to know when to fight and when not to, so usually only one person is getting left behind

i had a situation like that. dumfrick wanted to keep pushing forwards even when there were 3 hulks, 2 tanks and like 5 rockets devastators. his logic? we must use the drop pods to destroy them.

people just take time to learn the game, anon. they think it's like other co-op shooters. drg is the comparison people make constantly and for a reason, in that game you pretty much can and should take every fight, partly because you're in a cave with nowhere to go, but moreso because the game was designed for you to be able to take and win every fight even at the highest difficulty. this game ain't like that, and it's unusual in that regard.
i don't think i have ever encountered something like this, unless something has gone horribly wrong and extract is overrun with elites, at which point a retreat is warranted unless the pelican's landing soon

This. I did a 9 with randoms who all sprinted off to do their own thing, so I did the same. None of us were troubled. I made it through a bunch of hairy shit with 30+ samples and extracted without a single death. This game gets me to focus like no other.

Rocket strike and airstrike are two of the best offensive stratagems against bots.
It destroys objectives, eviscerates clumped up enemies, and works as an anti tank. Even if you were right, that argument is moronic. This is like saying AT guns aren't worth using because they're only good at blowing up tanks and nothing else.
moron, it also is a base clearing machine alongside airstrike because it hits fabricators and cannon towers. rocket pods and airstrike is unequivocally the best eagle combination against bots. funny you mention specialized because that's what 500kg is, the only thing it's actually useful for is blowing up certain objectives that other stratagems can't, in every other regard it's a worse version of some other eagle (or orbital railcannon)

There's a reason 99% of the playerbase takes railcannon when they need a single high damage stratagem to execute a heavy, it's because it reliably hits that heavy. The rocket pods miss the targets half the time, it wouldn't be avoided so often if it was accurate.

The quasar's infinite ammo just makes the spear's ammo count a joke now. I tried taking the spear to diff 6 bots yesterday and the 4+1 rockets disappear within 90 seconds with how many targets you have. Still don't know what the purpose of this weapon is.

almost all the crashes are in reward screen now, mercifully, so you're still making progress. man is it infuriating though. the game really does just get less stable with each patch.

Are some of the low end eagles and orbitals like strafing run or gatling orbital any good? I assumed they were low level trash, and even their little preview video looks so bad.
eagle airstrike is the single best stratagem in the game and it's pretty low level
eagle cluster bomb is the best trash clearer. Your starting precision orbital strike is great for building clearing and potentially smacking heavy armor.
Orbital airburst is good vs. Bug breaches with is suppression over time of a singular area.
Gattling and Strafing run are pretty shit but airburst absolutely fricking shreds packs of bugs.
Advantages are usually that they have a lot of charges before needing to reload. Strafing run is the only one that has a vertical path from the launch point. Eagle airburst is like all airbursts so it's pretty effective in a good area against mediums and smalls.
- Cluster bomb has massive AoE. Best trash clear bar none but doesnt do anything to tanks/buildings
- Normal airstrike destroys buildings and medium targets. Perfect for lobbing into bases/bug hives.
Cluster fricks up fabricators good if you get lucky and it goes into the vents
Cluster is breddy gud at trash, gatling is terrible, strafing ranges between terrible and decent depending on your situation, airburst can be good if you drop it right on top of bot drops/bug breaches. 500kg is still the second best all rounder eagle, though in my opinion its a bit more useful for bugs than bots.

One tap most medium armor enemies consistently, shoot through devastator shields, 1 - 2 shot hulks, shoots bot planes out of sky, good ammo efficiency, wear your choice of backpack.

If you're swarmed by devastator rockets, your shield placement will last 10 seconds at most.
those ten seconds is enough to either fall back or retaliate with your heaviest ordinance. it's better than eating complete shit like most people do.
Hard cover does all that already without relying on a long stratagem cooldown. There are only very few cases where there is no viable cover and you can't actually know in advance that you're going to eat shit around an extraction point that has little to no cover. And as I mentioned earlier, if you're getting swarmed, it's not gonna last long enough to meaningfully matter so it's not really worth the gamble or the strat slot.
If you are getting swarmed with devastator rockets, it means that either
A. You're moronic, didn't pay attention to enemy positioning and got yourself surrounded by rockets devs
or
B. Haven't killed or de-rocketed all rocket devastators because you don't have long range support weapons or strategems because your wasted a strategem slot on fricking shield bubble.

Shield lets you be aggro, it's great. I use it to stand in the open and just unload all the time. No getting sniped by stray rockets clipping me either.

The railgun got nerfed because it was not only just as versatile as the Autocannon, but also more mobile, didn't require a backpack, and filled all those roles better than the Autocannon did without even requiring you to use unsafe mode.
The autocannon is balanced because it'a either good or decent at everything, but it's also not the best at anything.

Autocannon's been the sleeper-GOAT since launch. Railgun was put on pedestal because it was easy to use, killed Chargers/Titans quickly and you could bring a shield or jumppack. Railtard Bug players raved about it so much that they became their own downfall.

Increase the charge speed by 1.5x
Change the arc, angle, and height based on armor weight.
Light armor gives you the most height, but the least amount of forward thrust.
Medium armor is more like a perfectly curved arc. Balanced height and distance.
Heavy armor gets the least amount of upward thrust, but you hover over the longest distance.
