Cycling enemies in and out according to arbitrary war fronts is a cool idea, and would keep the game from being a lame-ass perpetual standstill like Destiny. A variety of enemies at a galactic scale is good, but when nothing changes, the feel of fighting a war disappears.
Plus, it's not like this is everything. The Illuminate still exist, and the Automatons aren't the same as the original Cyborgs from HD1.

There were two enemy factions at the start, the Terminids (bugs) and the Automatons (bots). High Command developed a pesticide for the bugs, so we were ordered to genocide the bots. Which we did, so we now can't fight them anymore.

I've been playing for less than a week, but I feel the same way about medium difficulties: 4 is harder than 5 or 6. Once I started playing 5s the vast majority of groups I join understand teamwork, can break off into groups of 2 to take more objectives faster without being told, and actually wait for your stratagems to go off before throwing their own in if needed.
4 is literally for babies and noobs everyone who understands the game moved on to 5 and up

Bugs are kind of "oh frick" enough when they get in your face, so fast instakill kamikaze bugs don't seem like they'd be a good fit. If we use DRG as an example, I think the oppressor as a medium range version of a charger (with an actual weakpoint on its ass) and something like a septic spreader that leaves shit on the ground would be good variety.
Exploders give you plenty of time to run though before detonating.
That wouldn't work in HD2 because DRG actually has good sound design.
The bugs already have variants with acid warriors and acid scavengers. They just need to expand it

bugs are just draining to play against for me in their current state, theres just so many chargers and bile titans and the weapons you need to kill them with are all slow to reload, or unreliable (the 110mm rocket pods when I use them seem to have a 50% hit chance at best even on a stationary bile titan) with bots I could at least aim at weak points but even doing that against a charger it feels like it takes more damage to its ass than a hulk does to its face or a tank to its weakpoint it just feels like damage sponge slogs
charger's ass isn't a weakpoint, it takes barely any damage from non-explosives even if it's unarmored

I usually consider how long we'll have to spend near that nest. If it's only close to a short duration objective like find the launch codes, I won't bother, just do the objective, deal with the 2 or 3 waves of stalkers then frick off. If it's a longer objective or extraction, it takes priority.
They are scared of Stalkers so they naturally avoid the nests
Stalker and shrieker nests have an area of effect so I ignore them unless they're raping a terminal.
You only ever need one player to take out a stalker lair. Just do it yourself.

Streets is the best map they've ever put out, but performance wise is still in rough shape. Its got all the loot you want, alot of AI and people, and a good range of sightlines and ranges of combat.
Its cause BC2 didn't really have urban areas, just some buildings here or there so you could then break shit. The actual capabilities of destruction only got better, you would be delusional to think BC2's destruction is better than BF1 or BFV. BC2 just let you actually take out a whole map.
Bad company 2 was the peak of destructibility. A lot of games have kind of destructible environments but none of them have the scale of destruction thwt bc2 has. Crazy that it hasn't been topped yet.

I've been playing mostly 9 with a friend and whatever randoms who join and we haven't had an issue at least completing the main objective. Extracting is whatever since we both have everything maxed out. I went back to 7 with all randoms earlier today to mess around. I was the only one who brought any anti-armor and it was a bigger clusterfrick than any helldive mission I played. Never doing that again.

They're all kind of garbage really. Walking might be the 'best' of that bunch because it's easier to aim and forget. The 380 also works for that but you have to make sure to get it in a good spot.
120 and Walking are both pretty reliable nowadays, 380's still a bit of a gamble even with the tightened spread in most cases but it can still clear out larger bases/hive nests.
Out of all of them I'd go 120 > Walking >>> 380, but Walking does have nice use cases for dealing with shit far away that the other two can't reach (like throwing it in the direction of a Stalker lair or Shrieker nest).
380 can pretty consistently clean up huge nests and outposts from a distance.
As someone who uses them all regularly, they're all decent. But you're less likely to kill your team with walking barrage. You have to keep in mind that most people you play with have the situational awareness of a moronic dog and aren't going to see your stratagems or hear when you throw it.

Some maps get crazy high charger spawns and they bum rush every sentry they see and oneshot them.
So place them better, or use the distraction to either kill the charger or run away.
That won’t work if there are 5 chargers running around. Autocannon turret can be good but you if you are in a swarm situation it will fail you. I know it can kill shit it’s just not as reliable as other options.

You need to retrieve data, then upload data, activate radar, then evac.
Those diamond ones are armory where you can refill your ammo. The 'point' icons are just AI fighting random bugs.
Outpost are there to just provide support and such. You can't kill any of the enemy buildings. Just do your objectives, try to survive and hold out and evac.

Play whatever difficulty you're having fun on friend. No one cares. I play exclusively diff 9 because once you learn how to play it gets pretty easy. If you notice that you're toppling the enemy with no resistance, bump it up

then stay there for a while because 8 or 9 are a slog if your entire team doesn't know what they're doing.

The stalwart is very good. Run a primary with medium armor penetration to make up for the stalwarts lack of it and you'll be fine. The liberator penetrator and the slugger are both good options.

Stalwart requires a medium penetration primary, so Slugger is ideal.

I'm a big fan, throwing range is a nice quality of life but the limb health is a direct increase to main health it seems. You can survive shit that would kill even extra padding armors, I haven't tested but I think it even includes your head as a "limb".
Limb health from servo-assisted is not like limb health from the vitality booster, it's been tested by nerds. It doesn't actually make you actually tankier on top of the fewer injuries. If it were the case then servo-assisted armor would be the best in the game for giving more health than vitality booster
It's pretty nice, although it takes some getting used to with how hard you start whipping stratagem balls around. Makes it a bit trickier to arc them over walls.

The range is the same as stratagem balls. About 50m if you throw at a 45 degrees angle on flat terrain.
You have a rangefinder by pinging. a 45 degree throw goes 50m.

On top of that if you call in resupply, not only do you get all the ammo back but it also replenishes the supply packs so you can do it all over again.
Become the ammo god, disregard the accuracy stat.
why would you want the engineer passive when you have the supply pack? 2 extra grenades won't matter much if you already have 12. at least the medic has the excuse of having that +2 secs of stim.

There's a leaked friendly squad stratagem, but it's not accessible normally and barely works when cheaters use it.
I really hope it works at least halfway well, even if it's not very good. Something Helldivers/Darktide/pretty much any military-themed co op shooter lacks is allied bot soldiers. Hell Battlefront and BF2 on the PS2 only had like 24 bots per team but even just that was enough to make it feel like a proper battlefield.
they're working on a stratagem where you call down like 4 or so friendly (fodder) SEAF soldiers. Shit armor but can shoot a gun at bugs for awhile until they get mulched
