Frick all normalgays who ruined video games with this "hurr video games are serious business" garbage. It practically ruined the FGC and other fun competitive games.
Video games are not a job, they're not a sport, they're fricking entertainment. Frick off.
>it's not possible to play for entertainment and still want to win
It's a paradox that we eSports and competitive gaming for every fricking game across every genre and yet this is the most "dude it's just a game, who cares if I don't play correctly" it's ever been.
I agree. If you're not playing to win why the frick are you even playing? You're wasting your time and people who waste time willingly are the worst kind of scum on this Earth. People who will never achieve anything because they would rather waste time on shit they don't put any effort.
Unless you are trying to figure out the meaning of life or achieving immortality to have an eternity doing so everything you do is just waste and won't matter when you're dead.
It's only meant for fun and mortal kombat isn't a fricking craft. If you're not okay with it then you don't belong in this world because you will only waste your time and resources on shit that won't make anyone happy least of all you. Kys.
He's only right if he applies it to every aspect of life though. Will he do nothing simply for fun or relaxation? Swimming as an example, is something a lot of people do, but they simply swim for enjoyment. They don't care much about their form or their speed even if it's not very good.
By his logic, if he ever swims, he should be trying to be the best swimmer and doing whatever it takes, being angry if he sees someone swimming better than him.
For most of the games i play, i dont think "it's just a game", but ti doesnt mean i need to get angry after losing, on the contrary, NOT getting angry and accepting that losing is part of the learning curve is what allows me to keep playing the game enough to eventually stop losing.
If i got angry when losing at games, i'd stop playing them.
>tl;dr
getting mad when you lose is not healthy, and he's just a mad screaming gamer trying to justify his behavior with backwards logic
He's only half right. Raging at video games is unhealthy and won't help you get you better. But even when playing single-player games, there are ways for you get better at them. You can care about getting better at a game while still acknowledging it is just a game.
it's only a weak mindset if you're using it for an excuse for losing
it's a strong mindset if reality takes priority over it because it is... just a game
no matter if you've been grinding 1000 hours and you only need to focus for 10 more seconds but something in reality is more important, drop that crap in a heartbeat
>you're okay with what happened
yes, it's just a game >losing
yes, it's just a game >imperfection of a craft
it's just a game, not a craft >getting angry after losing
who would get angry, it's just a game
>At the local gokart joint >Get out played by some child >Start chimping out >Get arrested for causing a scene >"Heh if I didn't get angry I would have lost twice" >Get 6 months community service
he is right but he said it in the spergiest way possible.
Tone policing is such a reddit thing to do
You're right but you said it in gaygiest way possible
You would know
I bought his book from a dollar tree.
He’s right if you’re a pro, maybe. Otherwise, I assure you, it is indeed just a game.
I agree with the sentiment, people are hating and ridiculing it because they want to ridicule and humiliate him.
>NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I JUST HAVE TO AUTISTICLY SCREAM AND ape out WHEN I LOSE AT BIDEO GAEMS!!!
he's right, I used to hit myself and my cat sometimes when I didn't have a positive K/D and now I'm a loser
>I used to hit myself and my cat
based
frick tranimals
I disagree, I just think they need to be beaten sometimes
Send ecelebs to the frontlines
These "people' as well
tranimal troony is triggered
good bait, got a laugh out of me
but it's a porn game, you need to lose to see her gets fricked
In other words: losing makes you a cuck.

Online games have become completely miserable to play specifically because of this mindset.
>"Just kick the ball"
Yeh nah he's a gay
Genuine nutcase
He's only right if you're playing e-sports. If you rage out of control over losing a casual friday night session of tf2 you are mentally ill
>t man who has a profession playing video games
This is good logic for a job. Not a hobby.
I agree. If you're not playing to win why the frick are you even playing? You're wasting your time and people who waste time willingly are the worst kind of scum on this Earth. People who will never achieve anything because they would rather waste time on shit they don't put any effort.

BING BING WAHOOO is not a craft. It's literally just a game.
I hate when people refer to trivial bullshit as their 'craft'.
Nah, it's just a game. Losing at brain surgery is cause for lunatic levels of rage.
>compgayging some AAA microtroony game
>"a craft"
It's only meant for fun and mortal kombat isn't a fricking craft. If you're not okay with it then you don't belong in this world because you will only waste your time and resources on shit that won't make anyone happy least of all you. Kys.
it's just a game bro

Why are twitter threads still not banned in this shitty board?
Anger clouds your judgement and prevents you from learning effectively. He's wrong and a toddler

getting angry after losing is a child's behavior
He's not saying you should be angry, he's saying you shouldn't just accept loss and not try to improve.
>when you've stopped getting angry after losing, you've lost twice
No, he's explicitly saying you should be angry
>you're okay with what happened
yes, it's just a game
>losing
yes, it's just a game
>imperfection of a craft
it's just a game, not a craft
>getting angry after losing
who would get angry, it's just a game
For him its not just a game its literally his job. That doesn't excuse little Billy crying and throwing his controller because he lost in cowadooty.
>He says compgayging halo, literally the least comp viable shooter
>At the local gokart joint
>Get out played by some child
>Start chimping out
>Get arrested for causing a scene

Being content with losing is a type of victory
Being unable to accept this simple fact is a type of losing
