But if you want to be picky, remember, she's the daughter of a psycho cultist that is in touch with demon magic and voodoo rituals. She probably isn't a 100% typical human.

Lady just carries a shit ton of guns and ammo. Dante used normal guns but they kept breaking until ebony and ivory was made for him. Lady's likely broke from all the gun upkeep she has to do.
Because she's actually written well, with many reasons to be standoffish that are addressed in her character arc and leave you curious about her rather than irritated. Despite her combat prowess being reasonably impressive she's clearly shown to not be infallible and having an issue keeping up compared to the half demons. Her appearance fits both her character and the setting in several manners while still being attractive and attention-catching in a non-standard way that hasn't been done to death.
She's talented and capable but not invincible or perfect. She's also a good foil for Dante in DMC3 since he gives no shits there and everything is personal to her

its only in the last quarter of the game where dante starts to act more serious and like dmc1 dante where lady starts respecting what he has to say and he starts taking unambigious wins against arkham and vergil, which flows into the last scene of the game being him wearing his DMC1 outfit, showing that he's stopped being such a stupid punk kid and matured into the dante from the first game - this characterization continues with the dmc anime they made between 3 and 4
but then because dmc4 was a beta instead of the full game and people were mad at all the marketing showing that dante is evil and nero has to take him out, dante randomly decides to be wacky wahoo pizza man despite being middle aged because that was popular in the previous game and they're fan pandering
during the Manga run for 5 Itsuno mentioned that Dante acts aloof because hes genuinely terribly afraid of demons because it turns out just because youre going to survive it doesnt make getting impaled any less horrific. So its speaks to reason that its a cope but it also isnt his exclusive character trait
