BW2's postgame is okay (but doesn't have a battle frontier), but the main game has really obnoxious cutscene bloat and dedicates a lot of screentime to a story that's just straight-up bad
I maintain Gen 5 would have aged a lot better if the dream world existed offline. HGSS's wi-fi plaza has not only been preserved by fans, the game is still amazing even without it. But so much of Gen 5 is outright reliant on an online service that no longer exists and likely never will again
Why does a simple opinion instantly make you seethe like this? Are you mad your game can't get away with making the same claim and having others agree with you? That's a sign of it being objectively shit, whatever it is....
BW2, the battles are way more snappy and the backsprites are more consistent even if the pixels are a bit of a mess. In gen 4 the backsprites can be really good or it can just make a pokemon look stupid. But overall the slow gen 4 engine makes these games a bit of a slog in the postgame
HGSS and it's not even close. BW2 are nugen trash because: >Tons of boring, pointless, unskippable cutscenes >Boss fight with a pokemon you can't even catch during that fight >Stupid gimmick areas nobody cares about or likes (Pokestar, PWT) >KANTOOOOOOOOO Pandering (PWT) >Dumb gimmick battles (triple, rotation)
Gen 5 started the decline and has all the same issues gens 6 onward have, frick gen 5.
>cutscenes
fair, but they weren't so numerous >you can't catch kyurem
The game is casting doubt n using pokeballs at that point, so it would be inappropriate to catch it at that time. That's why they made Ghetsis prevent it, as it's basically under his control. >nobody likes PWT and Pokestar
Okay this is where I draw the line between opinion and delusion. They are objectively loved by many fans of the series, old and new. Pokestar is a top tier minigame that for once actually incorporates the battle system in an interesting way that doesn't just continue to encourage obliterating the opponent if possible. It also has heaps of dialogue possible, so a lot of effort went into making it. But no, everyone hates it because it was taught to you briefly. But I get when something unskippable like that brings a "10" game to a 9.5, it will get disproportionate hate >PWT
Not Kanto pandering, but rather appreciating the ENTIRE series in proportion. This is the part that future games failed. >gimmick battles
I'm guessing you hate doubles too? The gimmicks are obviously something else.
hgss obviously. it's the peak of the franchise. gen v started the downfall.
nice masturbait
HGSS by a long shot

HGSS is a good game that’s overrated.
BW2 is a bad game that’s overrated.
B2w2, but hgss is great. Though i prefer crystal over both
GSC.
Would love to rape and ruin Liko.

>BW2
Even worse than the first pair.
I prefer B2W2 but I also really like HGSS. When two games are on the mountaintop anyway, it really isn't worth it debating which one is the very pea.
>When two games are on the mountaintop anyway
unovagays

Neither. Barring spinoffs, the only DS game worth playing is Platinum.
I choose DS.
