For me it's the fact that they've had like 3 banners in a row with characters I have zero interest in (Kafka isn't fun even as an antagonist and I certainly don't want her in my team) and the story is just really really fricking bad.
The story is absolutely awful to the point I could swear it's written by ChatGPT. Combat is actually really fun IMO, it's "turn based" but the fact that you can interrupt turns with ultimates makes it fast and snappy. I think the combat system is legit good enough for a real game.
Well the ads for the story really don't help then since one showcases "did I really just do that? Am in a scifi movie or something?" Forspoken like writing
Actually the number of people who play genshin on smartphone is just roughly 40%. So obviously iOS sales aren't as big as the game perfect for smartphones where you only sometimes have to touch the screen and the game plays itself. >c-cope
Public data indicates that the ratio of popularity between genshin and star rail is 3:1. Plus we had multiple polls from the western fandom and Asian fandom that lead to the conclusion that smartphones aren't as beloved when it comes to genshin. >N-Not the passion project
Genshin gets much more marketing material. And while it does have cheeky references in it's achievements (quoting memes, popular songs, etc), it never once made meme trash in the dialogue. Meanwhile starrail unironicaly went "you were the imposter! Amogus!!!!" Or "you sus saw U vent". If trash writing like that is the mark of a passion project, then I'm glad genshin isn't one.
Genshin is comfortable open world sightseeing with simple combat.
Stylewise gacha version of botw without physics but with more pretty environments, it's good on a large screen, but the character designs are limited by the chosen base-proportions. .. made seem even worse by expensive and almost non existent clothing options of characters. (walking around in the snow in an even lighter summer dress as only alternative to a summer-dress.. for 20% of the characters, at a cost of $20 each) no options might have been better than unused ones in this case, a half assed rip-off instead of a feature.
Star rail gameplay and enviroments are almost neptunia-level simple (bad) and only make sense when controlled on a phone-screen. The character style looks better but it's not really worth much in the context.
The gameplay is only OK if you enjoy the story to go with it ... which I didn't.
>People shit on FF16 for going back on its turnbased roots >People sucking off BG3 for respecting its turnbased roots >For some reason HSR, clearly copying the old 4-homies-in-a-row JRPG turnbased format, gets shit on for respecting that turn-based RPGs can be a thing
You can really tell when ADHD morons get mad when you see complaints about turn based. Been happening since late 90s with Final Fantasy. The one guy I knew adamantly against turn based IRL was one of the most moronic subhumans I've ever known and he even failed out of high school

considering who black swan is, it will take a long time to get to her
This graph is misleading
lots of people were saving for her since day 1 and that doesn't appear in the reveneu graph
it's only for iOS revenue and only in china
Kafka is not popular in china because culturally, they don't really like 'evil/rude' characters, it was the same shitshow with playable scaramouche in genshin
>Kafka is not popular in china because culturally, they don't really like 'evil/rude' characters
I guess they hate themselves too since a normal chink is even worse than her.
Is this supposed to look bad? Every banner has been beating out Genshin by a mile and everyone saved for kafkok already. Jingliu and Topaz will BTFO sales
>he thinks it costs millions to make a character
I’m pretty sure they already made back the money needed to make hsr and even more. Also that’s a horrible analogy for a gacha game.
A lot of people bought in during Seele's banner, realized kafka wasn't summonable and saved those previously purchased summons for Kafka. The summon tracker is more accurate even it's only KR numbers
People are trying to meme it but the simple fact is Kafka doesn't look good, is not beautiful and there's nothing entertaining or lovable about her. Her design is so shitty that the sunglasses on top of her head are not even the right size for her, the lenses are way too close together.
>Evil looking onee-san who is entirely for (You) and has the ability to make you do whatever she says, making the dommy mommy ideas write themselves >"HOW CAN ANYONE LIKE HER I DON'T UNDERSTAND?!"

Maybe in the case of hardcore bulldyke b***h doms, but gentle dommy mommy types are top tier.
She was more popular than the mascot girl March despite not being playable on release. Granted I don't know if we can say who is the most popular yet but Kafka has the most fanart last I checked at least.
People are trying to meme it but the simple fact is Kafka doesn't look good, is not beautiful and there's nothing entertaining or lovable about her. Her design is so shitty that the sunglasses on top of her head are not even the right size for her, the lenses are way too close together.
Then people found out she's a DoT character that more or less requires you to run males with her (Sampo and Luka).
And also, people realized just how light-weight Star Rail patches are going to be. >Once you are high-level, the grind is to just take someone's Seele and go grind on auto for Relics/trace mats/ascend mats, your input is pretty much meaningless in these encounters >And then using Abundance or Hunt Resonance to basically auto-farm Simulated Universe for more Relics, since those trivialize runs (Abundance is better, but it doesn't work in every world) >New story content has even less content than Genshin, a given quest is a few minutes of talking (with dialogue that doesn't make you wanna have a nice day) followed by maybe a minute of walking, then throwing combat on auto, repeating until quest complete
So overall, Star Rail has failed.
Pure luck. I'm only casually playing Honkey and didn't pull for any other 5-star. Kafka is my ONLY 5-star. (Dragon dicky is not counted because I got her from the guaranteed 5-star thing)
I think Ganker needs another board for anime shit games, Ganker is flooded with moronic coomers who don't talk about games but the moronic looking anime girls.
They launched the game without enough content to keep players interested. They're trying to force Genshins update philosophy in a game that demands a lot more constant content since it lacks an open world to explore. Simulated Universe was a great idea but they needed more things like that to do on a weekly basis. Also, their stamina requirements to grind for gear and materials is asinine. It shouldn't take a full fricking week to level and poorly gear 1 character.
As someone who works a fulltime job, I think they hit a sweet spot for people like me who can't invest too much time, so while it's something negative for you, it's something positive for me
It gets more frequent small events and double drop events then genshin at least, and the weapon banner is not a scan in comparison either
Why don't you play a real game then? Play at your own pace. Like without constant fomo? If you have no time to grind your are not getting anywhere anyways.
The point I was trying to make is that the pace is pretty perfect for me, it's much harder to keep the pace with Genshin
I already cleared MoC with all stars, didn't spend any money aside from 2 month passes
As far as fomo goes, I really don't give two shits, I only pull for who I like and not who is strong, my fun comes from teambuilding and simulated universe now
I wish i could clear MoC, i don't have a second healer and my only other option is March 7th but i refuse to level her, I'll probably start clearing it once i get Lynx and Fu Xuan though.
Fu xuan is going to solo sustain a team, mark my words
Gepard can solo sustain too, M7 needs E6 to be a healer but she can work if you got an unconventional tank like tank sampo or tank asta
10 months ago

I can get to MoC5 no problem, MoC6 becomes a problem because there is a lot of AoE and March just can't really seem to deal with that.
I tend to put March with Clara since that seems to work up untill that point.
To be fair my March has no gear and i don't really want to gear her anyway especially since Lynx and Fu Xuan are two characters i want and are on the horizon anyway.

With the way agro works, if you don't have any other preservations or destructions on your team, you won't need March to have Clara be targeted most of the time, bring Natasha for that team instead and have her heal clara
In second team I'd probably go with Fire MC and March and have him tank the damage (Fire MC is pretty good despite being a free character)
Depending on your Eidolons on March, you can build her for attack and have her do counter attacks for damage, kinda like a mini-Clara
Luocha into Clara feels like cheating, everyone should have pulled for him because of sustain scarcity. But Fu Xuan is gonna be another great option for sustain
So how long until the chink planet is over? It's the worst part of the game.
Next patch is supposed to be the last one

Kafka, Sampo and Asta is my other team and my Fire MC isn't really built either because i never needed her to be since i got clara from the beginner banner.
Not that i think she will slot in to that great but i might check it out.
Not that i mind much anyway since its like 2 cycles max before i get Fu and Lynx anyway.
SU and MoC both take too much time and are part of the reason I dropped the game, other factors are the garbage writing after you reach space china and the safe and family friendly character designs in a game that tries to be more mature, but fails horribly. Also the gacha prices and rates being the same or higher as genshin is a big reason to not spend money, you don't get the same value for your money since this game is far smaller in scope (not a bad thing the game is smaller, but prices should be cut in half or rates at least doubled).
Almost 0% until you reach soft pity at 75 rolls, then it increases with 1% with every roll until you guarantee a 5* or something. Basically you get a 5* before soft pity only 1/3rd of the time. And then you have a 50% chance to not get the banner character if you're rolling on the limited banner. Basically as F2P you won't be seeing that many 5* characters unless you're a luckGOD.
Pay up pay pig, you wanna have fun? You want that good roll? Frickin pay up. Everyone knows drop rates increase when you spend real money, that's why playing the game is an irrelevant facade to keep you gambling away all your money for shitty trap waifus and Chinese tier story lines. Gacha games should be federally regulated or outright illegalized, they've been destroying the game industry since their inception, any game that utilizes gambling as it's main hook is means it's trash instantly. Gameplay is shit but it doesn't have to be good as long as you pay the frick up.
Otherwise no fun for you.
Drop rates in this game are atrocious, you should NEVER expect to get a 5* before pity and even then you have a 50% chance of getting an off-banner one so it's really 1.5 times pity.
Full f2p player with 5 SSRs here. It's not that bad.
She's the worst 5* in the game if not THE worst character aside from Herta. She's not totally useless but she's definitely in the bottom tier.

thats literally wrong lmfao
yanking is EASILY the worst 5 star in the game and is only better than maybe arlan. Himeko is one of the best board wide damage dealers in the game
The worst character you can get is Himeko and even then she's useable with Asta support and she's designed for the upcoming Swarm event gamemode thing. She is also free money if you prostitute her out to other players because she clears farming domains very fast
Kafka, Sampo, Asta + sustain is the way to go and one of her best teams AFAIK
You don't need good artifacts for Fire MC, just get the one with dmg reduction even if it has shit stats and let him get all the agro and dps race yourself to victory with Kafka/Sampo/Asta, bonus points if you have that lightcone for preservation that makes people who attack you get burn DoT scaling with def
Leagues better
Tingyun's advantage is being a battery, giving a good ATK buff for a hypercarry and being skillpoint positive. Better suited for Hunt or destruction characters like seele or clara which either dont lose buffs easily or are slower but still dish out dmg
Asta gives Speed (Kafka scales better off speed than other characters, more turns = more DoT Procs), gives ATK to the whole team (All DoT characters scale off ATK, so stronger teamwide DoT), has her own burn in normal attacks for when you want to be skillpoint positive and is a good breaker for fire weakness characters (which applies another DoT). Asta's skill buff is also tied to her own turns, meaning that having Asta be cc'd will help you keep stacks and buffs and kafka can attack as often as she likes without losing the buff.
My kafka is doing 4 actions per turn sometimes with Asta ult (204 speed total)
I do have that light cone and it's somewhat leveled, i might actually try that out.
My plan was to put Fu Xuan in the 4th slot for my Kafka team and maybe swap out Asta for Luka once i get that 5 star nihility light cone from the herta shop next patch which I'll give to Kafka and give the sleepy Pela light cone she currently has to Luka.
She's the worst 5* in the game if not THE worst character aside from Herta. She's not totally useless but she's definitely in the bottom tier.
Why is Herta considered the worst character anyway?
I do like how they put the weakest enemies in Himeko's trail together with Herta in an attempt to make her look powerful.
I personally recommend going either Sampo or Luka but not both. Sampo's better for general player, Luka's better for bosses/beefy enemies because Bleed is %HP dmg. Mono-Lightning with Serval works if enemy is weak to it
Herta's weak because her numbers are dogshit, simple as. They only shine in hoard/mob situations
All Eruditions are weak because they're supposed to be AoE specialists but lots of other characters have ways to be AoE (seele resets, kafka E and ult, sampo ult, Clara ult etc)

Is it worth building break effect on Luka? Every recommendation I see on him is stack ATK, but physical break sounds really strong and he really destroys that break gauge with his wombo combo.

Physical break is the best break in the game so sure, but sushang is a better breaker than him. Personally I prefer to build him atk to make him more reliable when paired with my kafka
Unlike Genshin this game has unreal power creep. That aside the combat became really monotonous after awhile. Without elemental reactions the game is really missing a dimension. The break system is just too basic. I also think the character designs aren't as strong as Genshin. Sci-fi games always end up with this somewhat samey colour palette and fashion.
I do greatly enjoy all the QoL features and I hope they make it to Genshin
I also remember some of genshin's launch 4* units being better than most 5* units and carrying the abyss. You don't even get a free 2nd healer in star rail, where you can't avoid taking damage because it's turn based.
>Unlike genshin
Bro, we had a spike in powercreep since 3.0. And seemingly, Fontaine will be another massive spike, where level 70 characters with mid gear can pull out multiple 500k attacks on their own. We entered the classical Honkai tier powercreep
>Spike in powercreep >since 3.0
There were only two, arguably one, character that was really fricking good from Sumeru, everyone else is either decent or mediocre. We have not seen true powercreep ever since the days of 2.x.
That's not powercreep, Kazuha can't do insane CC across multiple waves and shit out energy for your team. Genshin only has negative powercreep, meaning they put out garbage characters that are below the "strong" power point.
It's the closest to powercreep Genshin has, which is funny considering they clearly don't do EVERYTHING the other does, they just group and swirl well.
Anonymous
It's not remotely powercreep, they work really well together and using one in either side of abyss is usually peak anemo gaming. Powercreep would be Furina's leaked weapon which is basically just JC but better. And that leak itself is shady as frick and might not even be real. There hasn't really been any powercreep in terms of characters. Every character is either just good or bad and Xiangling carries all of them equally.
Anonymous
I don't disagree with you, I'm just playing devil's advocate really. Genshin fundamentally can't get powercreep without people being upset at characters doing basically the same exact shit as someone else. You're never gonna see another pyro chunk their health for a normal+charged attack buff like Hu Tao again, for example.

>they don't know classic overvape national is stronger than almost every hyperbloom comp

lmao
This. I don't get why people say dendro is so OP, they probably whaled.
There is slight powercreep in Genshin but it's not that simple or straightforward and even with increased enemy HP totals in Spiral Abyss DPS requirements don't seem to require far more damage that was possible 3 years ago so it doesn't really matter if there's an Alhaitham quickbloom team that can do 80k single target DPS at C0 or not, you only need half that power.
He's referring to how new characters > old characters
A simple example is Alhaitham. He's an out of the box main DPS who can carry you from the start of the game to current endgame with ease as long as you remember to go get his mats and some okay gear once the power rises a good bit.
No 1.0 characters can do that and often need much better gear or high Talents or potentially even Constellations.
Isn’t that just dendro being op as frick? Plus you can still just run bennet with anything and be op as frick

Content draught and grind are even worse than Genshin and with it being an RPG instead of an open-world game it can't survive the same as Genshin. Sad because the better character designers clearly went over to Star Rail and it has many qol features Genshin should have. It's hilarious how hard Kafka mogs Fontaine's females.
There is a content drought but the grind is in no way worse than Genshin, I swear people say this only because they went through Genshin's bs years ago and have to go through SR's similar bs now and forgot how bad Genshin got.
HSR doesn’t have events, don’t say such nonsense when HSR lacks basic online events for gamers. It’s the same thing I keep hearing in the game, no one can do anything when everything is done. HSR fails to keep people playing and fails at events.
>So how long until the chink planet is over? It's the worst part of the game.
It really is. Holy fricking shit the chink dimension is awful. >boring as shit architecture that's just generic asian crap smashed together >chingchong names >incredibly annoying enemies that resurrect themselves, summon other enemies, heal themselves or do other bullshit that prolongs the battle that I want to be over as fast as possible >that b***h kafka
If the next planet isn't a massive improvement I might just quit because I had zero fun in the chinkiverse.
Is there any chance we get to find her alive? I want to question why they'd even keep teasing that she could be but then they did the same for Himeko originally in Honkai.

I sorta did but got Welt instead and ultimately decided to save that guarantee for Kafka because I'm not gay and Luocha felt like such a nothing character after his quest.
I see it advertised very heavily on Twitter, because of how much advertising I see, I actively ignore it out of spite. I know literally nothing about this game except for the fact that it was made by the same people who made Genshin Impact.
Two shitty 5* light cones followed by Himeko from the standard banner, after I just lost a very late pity 50/50 also to Himeko is the final reason I quit playing. I was quite literally four 5* characters behind players with good luck, and at least two behind players with average luck. Also extremely israeli of them to not give a 2nd free healer, when you cannot use healing items during combat so you have quite literally no way to deal with AoE damage on one of your two teams unless you use Gepard who is also a 5*.
>play Genshin on and off >stop playing it with HSR comes out >play HSR until Fontaine's release in Genshin >go back to Genshin >immediately struck by how much better Genshin's gameplay is
Argue about waifus all you want, but Genshin is objectively a better actual game.
I get that HSR works better for some people, like those who want an easy mobage for commuting etc. But if you actually like pressing keys and moving your mouse and feel like you're contributing something to the movements on the screen, Genshin is way way way better. I dropped HSR because it feels like I'm doing fricking nothing but a few clicks every day, only so I can clear content which is just staring at an auto battle while I eat my lunch. I'd rather just watch a movie than watch the same autobattle again and again.

In HSR the only character's element that matters is your 1-2 carry's. For tanks, healers, and supports the elements are literally unnecessary. Genshin at least rewards you for designing teams in a wholistic manner.
>In HSR the only character's element that matters is your 1-2 carry's.

Oh then how does it work? Surely the most used character in the game doesn't just-oh wait, that's exactly what Nahida does, she just fricking applies dendro for the DPS because the dendro reactions are broken as hell. It's almost like the DPS does all the work and everyone else just helps their damage regardless of the element.
Man, you Genshin apologists really should stop putting it's gameplay on a pedestal when you barely press more than 2 keys next to WASD. You're still playing a glorified phone game so stop acting like you aren't by blowing it's "complexity" out of proportion.

Q+E+WASD+spacebar+mouse click/hold in Genshin combat vs 1 mouse click in HSR combat
I get that people with disabilities need games that are more accessible, not everyone can pull off things like pressing a keyboard key. So I won't judge our HSRsisters. Important thing is that you're having fun.

The only one who uses spacebar is fricking C0 Hu Tao outside a few specific situations in the open world, and most characters don't even need to use M1. Genshin's combat is extremely basic regardless, Q+E is what you do 99% of the time and acting like SR is "so much less in depth" just because you press less buttons is genuinely moronic.

Not sure I get why people act like Genshin combat is complicated, it's literally the same as Star Rails with a skill and just an ultimate. And every rotation is the same. There is no dynamism in Genshin's combat, you're just doing the same rotation over and over until the end of time. Even World of Warcraft has more randomness and variety

Yeah, I don't get it either. At this point it really just feels like disingenuous shitposting for the sake of it because Genshinplayers are mad that HSR hogs all the QoL improvements while they get treated like the middle child despite it being the more successful game.

Again, you're completely overexaggerating how "complex" genshin is. HSR requiring less input due to being turn based doesn't change the fact that Genshin is also just a phone game with simplistic combat where every character's abilities have to fit as little buttons as possible with a skill and an ultimate. You aren't impressing anyone by pressing a few buttons more quickly, so stop embarassing yourself, you aren't hot shit no matter how hard you believe it.

You're missing my point. Genshin is a game because it is at least interactable, HSR is more like a repetitive anime with a few clicks here and there. I like playing games but I also like watching TV and movies. HSR just isn't interesting enough to keep watching like it's a TV show. Blade ult is only cool for the first few times, after that I just want to look elsewhere.

So now it's suddenly not about the complexity of the gameplay it's how you interact with the world despite SR explicitly not being an open world game?

Genshin has repetitive ult animations just the same but it's okay because you press more buttons during combat, while it's bad in HSR because you press less buttons? One is "interactable" and one isn't, despite you having to press buttons in both games? Man, you're really losing me here with your biased bullshit.
you can cancel the ult animations, it's actually a good thing to pull off in harder content like abyss. HSR does require you to push buttons too yes, but so does a DVD menu.

Mah great repetable combat in genshin when it's the same fricking 4 attacks autoattack combo, same skill and same ult animation
HSR combat is literally just build a team and press auto. HSR exploration is literally just find ~10 chests in a series of hallways. GI at least requires you to manually dodge opponents' attack, the elemental reaction system is far more compelling and strategic than HSR's elemental break system, GI has actual 3d worlds instead of just hallways.
The only possible strengths HSR has in comparison are subjective things like story, music, or waifus, but gameplay is king.
>HSR combat is literally just build a team and press auto.
That's what Genshin is except you need to do all the actions yourself every. single. time. >HSR exploration is literally just find ~10 chests in a series of hallways.
Genshin exploration is literally just find ~100 chests in a wide open map. >GI at least requires you to manually dodge opponents' attack
Which is barely ever an issue with how much iframes the dash has. >the elemental reaction system is far more compelling and strategic than HSR's elemental break system
How? It's just "use the strongest reaction these characters can do and build around that". >GI has actual 3d worlds instead of just hallways.

Genshin has some things I enjoy, like the boss/elite enemy fights, world design, music and the world traversal can be fun. But the entire story and how it's presented is the most anti-fun shit I have ever experienced. In comparison the game with the worst story and plot progression for me was FFXIII, and Genshin made that look like a masterpiece. I eventually uninstalled it because just the thought of having to trudge through more of that shit + Paimon made me physically shudder.
Star Rail has an extremely basic take on turn based, even more than genshin's take on action rpg. Star rail has no interaction between characters, you just use your best damage dealer of the required element, best buffers, and best healer. The element of your supporting characters doesn't even matter that much, having them on element is often just a bonus.
>Star Rail has an extremely basic take on turn based, even more than genshin's take on action rpg.
Basic=/=bad. >Star rail has no interaction between characters, you just use your best damage dealer of the required element, best buffers, and best healer.
That's implying you can beat high level stuff like MoC without worrying about team comp which is dead wrong.
There's nothing to do in hsr other than auto battle enemies.
At least with genshin you could spends weeks exploring and finding shit to do.
HSR just isnt that good too other thant he music and funny side quests.
>At least with genshin you could spends weeks exploring and finding shit to do.
Ah yes, walking around and finding 2 primos in chests tucked in corners or behind baby tier puzzles is real fun and exciting, I sure wish SR had that.
I think it's a good thing that both games offer something different because what you stated is nothing but a matter of personal taste. Personally I much prefer the smaller scale of HSR and find the open world exploration of Genshin boring, repetitive and overall quite tedious akin to generic ubisoft open world trash. Sure it's nice to explore for a while, but shit just gets old real quick.
I actually like the fact that the world isn't this annoyingly big empty place like in genshin. I can log in, do my dailies in like 10 mins and move on.
I was going to go with that aswell before they buffed her base defence and hp, now i am going 4p hp set for a bit more damage from her with that ult damage boost SU set.
I believe in Mihoyo's case that the money earned goes into their other projects. Genshin's money was probably split between Genshin's continued development, HSR and then Zen. Mihoyo also has a few secret project, including Da Wei wanting to develop a full dive VR game or something.
I just can't get interested in the Xianzhou storyline which feels like a bit letdown compared to Belabog. I seriously hope the next world will be more interesting, because the game is charming and the Aeons are interesting.
I don't care if you'll call me a homosexual, but I can't stand Kafka. I hated her the very moment I saw her and I can't help feeling that the game is forcing you to like her.
It's pretty, has a nice OST and the Belobog story was decent imo. I had fun with it for a month, got tired of it after that and then uninstalled. So give it a try if you're interested.
If i gamba and win a 50/50 this far into Kafka's banner i probably wont have enough pulls to secure Fu Xuan by the end of her banner, even with supply and battlepass, right?
Am I missing something?
Why are people comparing a turn based game to an action game in terms of amount of inputs?
Does that mean Starcraft, Smash Melee and Fighting games are the best games ever?
I wish it rivaled genshin, I wanted something to do while waiting for new genshin patches. I ended up uninstalling HSR and trying out FGO instead. Amazing how a mobage from 2014 has more gameplay than the latest billion dollar gacha from mihoyo.
It's not anything amazing, and it's ugly as sin. But I still feel like my choices matter and I don't have an auto AI babysitting me through the fights.
the sad thing is fgo still manages to mog homosexual rail in gameplay
which is more saying that the latter is utterly atrocious rather than fate being good
Basic FGO gameplay is >Loop through the game with your Castoria, Skadi or Tamavich >challenge quests are practically the same but you might need to restart the game a few times because of RNG bullshit
Basic FGO gameplay is >Loop through the game with your Castoria, Skadi or Tamavich >challenge quests are practically the same but you might need to restart the game a few times because of RNG bullshit
At least in FGO we can one shot enemies and farm without playing the game for real with a mod. HSR has nothing, you have to press the buttons to do things, AI just picks random actions in HSR which makes you lose time.
Just stop playing HSR, there is nothing in that game.

>FGO, better story, anime, movie, animation, card system based RPG, easy to learn.
>HSR, no explanation on world, not sci-fi, bad storytelling, genshin impact UI, box open world, the world not safe, not wanted in second arc of story. It's just two buttons, nothing else.
HSR is bad.
if you're autoing either game, time doesnt really matter dummy. hsr doesnt have lotto events like fgo does so your point kinda stinks
FGO gacha is better at least, unlike random RNG stats, FGO can get MAX damage.

there is no way you just said fgo gacha is good. as shitty as mihoyo gacha is, at least you're guaranteed a 5 star at 80~ pulls instead of fgo which used to not have a pity system at all and ontop of that, you need to spend 330 sq just to get the banner 5 star. its significantly worse

>Actually trying to hype up Loop Grand Order
lol
lmao even
Honkai was only more fun when you consider Genshin during Sumeru times. Fontaine blows the ever living frick out of anything Honkai does with pure gameplay.
Forgot to mention I refuse to use a male in that slot. Only males I am willing to use are Sampo and Welt. I don't own Welt and Sampo is in my Kafka team. Here are my choices. >Hook >Herta >Asta >Yukong >Sushang >Serval >Qingque >Trailblazer
Tingyun is great for buffing Clara, definetly pair them together
Bronya enabling kafka to proc more DoTs is the way to go.
The caveat here is that you're going to want to normal attack much more often wth Sampo (not bad considering that more kafka turns means more followup reset so you'll need more autos too) to get Skillpoints (Sampo and Nat generate, Bronya and Kafka spend)
I actually think Star Rail really hits the sweet spot of being a gacha game. Genshin is a much more ambitious game that is held back by being available on phones. Star Rail just does all it can without trying to exceed what an auto battler gacha typically does. It is short and sweet and the dailies and overall UI and QoL is really high in it which makes getting things done extremely efficient. It is almost ridiculous how efficient the daily Star Rail play is. It takes a few minutes at best to do everything and then you are done. It looks beautiful, runs well, the animations are great, has great character designs, and I love the music. And despite how simple it is, the simulated universe is actually a really fun system and I can see why they are basically making a whole game out of it (ZZZ) as it works shockingly well.
If anything I think what kills a lot of Star Rail's hype in the West was the second arc. The story in Star Rail was enjoyable at first. Trailblazer is a smug butthole which catches a lot of people off guard, but is a fun change of pace for the self insert silent protag. The characters are easy going and the game has a nice overall mood and style to it. The express is beautiful and the space stations are super likable. You then go to Russia and it's oppressive and silly, but still fun. Everything is ruined by China. Generic as frick praise the immortal Chinese people wuxia that drags on endlessly and isn't at all interesting. Has a bunch of different soulless gary stus fighting each other over stuff no one cares about. It led to multiple banners of these uninteresting bishounen in a row and a huge content/story drought which the game hasn't really recovered from ever since.
>If anything I think what kills a lot of Star Rail's hype in the West was the second arc. The story in Star Rail was enjoyable at first.
Mainly because its' broken up. It's not like Jarilo was some narrative masterpiece but you were able to get through the whole story without having to wait months for updates. You didn't have to wait a month in the underground waiting for permission to go fight Cocolia and unlock the new Trailblazer path so it felt like you actually were doing something and you were able to get to the cool shit. With the Luofu we're getting drip fed so Mihoyo's standard "and it's nothing ta da!" is more pronounced. If that shit was compete and we could get to the big cool final boss fight and new Trailblazer path I doubt people would be as frustrated with space china.
Mihoyo needs to frick off with the ver x.x update style and basically do expansions. Less small, uneventful story updates and instead to big, complete story updates. Fill the rest of that time with events or character stories.
Continuity is one thing, but Luofo story is objectively worse. Disciples of Sanctis Medicus was so poorly done the devs wrote them out of the story whereas Belobog had a clear narrative. Phantylia showed up out of nowhere at the last minute compared to Cocolia who was the main threat from the start. Half the time spent on the Luofu is running around samey areas full of shipping containers.
Face it, Luofu was just shit and even if it was the first planet people wouldn't have liked it.
>Mainly because its' broken up.
No, it's just shit. >It's not like Jarilo was some narrative masterpiece
No, Jarilo was like 4 out of 10. But Luofu was 0/10. Luofu is ugly to look at, the "good guy" factions are a bunch of self-important shitheads jealously guarding the secret of immortality so that only they get to enjoy it, and the enemies in the area are simply awful to fight if you don't have a character in your party who can remove enemy buffs. Luofu is just bad in every way.
You can slap that on pretty much any support/healer and it'll work great. You'll also get a lot of Discple pieces which are only bis for Blade, but they work well on any dps.
You do want Pela to have the wind set that dan heng goes for oddly enough. The advance forward thing combined with the free silverwolf lightcone is BUSTED
Thanks for the help guys. So now the team is Tingyun, Clara, and March. What archetype of character does this team need for the final slot the most? Do I just want a single target DPS like Sushang? Or do I want another support to pile buffs on Clara?
>start playing >get Welt as my free 5* >well i'd rather have a cute girl but at least he's good i guess >get Gepard as my second 5* >well shit... at least he's also good i guess >not counting guaranteed limited 5* (i lost all 50/50 rolls) >get Welt as my third 5* >get Gepard as my fourth 5*
the gacha feels pretty rigged.
I got the same pulls, but replace Gepard with Bronya. Lost all 50/50s, no early five stars, and all lost 50/50 were dupes.
My first 2 5* were both Bailu. Lost two more 50/50 and got yanqing and Himeko. The only luck I got in this game was Seele LC on a random 10roll i did as a mistake.
isnt the gameplay running around and furiously clicking trough exremely long, bloated and boring dialogues, whilehave a rigged gacha that monstly consists of game males?
Feels bad that while Genshin has the better gameplay/exploration (actual worlds with things to find not just hallways) HSR story and writing is infinitely better than Genshin. Just wished i had a game with Genshins Gameplay and HSR writing
I almost skipped on Kafka but I did a ten roll and got her. Probably will need to skip topaz since I also want Jingliu, Black Swan and Rush Mei so far. Never know when shit is gonna release. Gotta hoard.
sunk cost fallacy is hitting hard. I've been skipping days lately and about to hit tb 67. I kinda want to hold out until we get off the chinky planet if it will reignite my interest but the story certainly wasn't as good as I expected. It's actually worse than genshin but lucked out on a few interesting characters.
>only two events per patch
Is it going to stay this way forever? Feels like there's nothing to do. Don't get me wrong—the generic combat events Genshin gets aren't all that great either, but at least it gives you something to do.
Maybe. I can understand why the recommendation, but you still need to grind in that game and you should definitely stay away if you're averse to males or a few furry characters
yo, how often does this reset? I just finished Jerilo6 and it's still locked for me, I dont know how much time I have for another, anon just starting here
turn based gameplay and dogshit story
>turn based gameplay

>dogshit story

Anon, at least save yourself some embarrassed and don't defend shitty anime plot
Kafka is not an antagonist.
That makes her even worse because it makes it less likely that I get to kill her. I really hate her.
Seele and Bronya, both of which I successfully rolled. Why?
Just wondering is all.
Not that i get your hate for Kafka anyway
She is ugly and has a bad attitude.
Why are you gay
Spotted the raging femcel or troony larping as one.
What characters were you interested in then?
They are all shit and you are gay.
I kneel.
>Kafka
she is pure sexo
>you can interrupt turns with ultimates makes it fast and snappy
like Trails?
Yea. Actually the same mechanic.
Trails what?
Legend of Heroes
devs even said cold steel inspired them
Literally, like it even has a similiar buff and debuff rule
The Xianzhou story line is total dogshit, it was okay at best until then though
Well the ads for the story really don't help then since one showcases "did I really just do that? Am in a scifi movie or something?" Forspoken like writing
Yea baldurs gate is is so meh it's been the most talked game on Ganker for what more than a month already. Fricking turn based games.
its better than genshit tho? and gays eat shitshit up aswell
Cope. China is the biggest gatcha market in the world and they play almost exclusively on mobile
Yeah, china matters in the smartphone department. Rest of the world isn't china tho.
>People shit on FF16 for going back on its turnbased roots
>People sucking off BG3 for respecting its turnbased roots
>For some reason HSR, clearly copying the old 4-homies-in-a-row JRPG turnbased format, gets shit on for respecting that turn-based RPGs can be a thing
It's just ADHD zoomers, anon, don't pay attention to them.
You can really tell when ADHD morons get mad when you see complaints about turn based. Been happening since late 90s with Final Fantasy. The one guy I knew adamantly against turn based IRL was one of the most moronic subhumans I've ever known and he even failed out of high school
because it's a mobile game with 4-homies-in-a-row gameplay and an autoplay feature
Flop Rail
We're all saving for Topaz
I don't think I'll be pulling for Topaz. I'll go back into dailies and replenish my jades for someone else in the future.
>we
I’m rolling for 5 star Dan
What is her gimmick?
She has a pet trotter that she fights alongside.
I am more interested in Jingliu but ill give Topaz a couple of pulls atleast.
No way Shithoyo is gonna let a female character not have some sort of cape to cover her ass, right?
She's gonna get nerfed.
>genshinbaby still buckbroken
laughs in honkai
>Anime girl with cat accessories.
Man, when will these chinks learn what true beauty is.
Honestly, i'm more interested about what she can do in the combat, like, her kit, for example. These anims are useless info, at least for me.
every single character kit was leaked eons ago
Do you have the one for Jingliu?
read homie
She sounds like an amazing sub dps for Jing Yuan

Hell I'm only interested in Black Swan
Kafka and Black Swan will make for a very strong team, so Hagchads keep winning
Gladly I already have Kafka(was literally my only goal because of story reasons).
Just pray they won't nerf her design
I hope so. But then again, if her appearance got nerfed, i wouldn't be surprised.
Hot fricking damn. I have Kafka E1 and her signature LC. After Topaz, i'm gonna save for Black Swan. DoT playstyle is a nice change from big dick damage in one hit.
Good for you bro
considering who black swan is, it will take a long time to get to her
Autism mommy
Thanks anon.
Oh she's alternate March 7th?
I was saving for Fu Xuan though.
Her last Eidelon art is literally fricking a pig.
YOU JUST
I am the piggy.
WTF are chinks moronic?
>Kafka is not popular in china because culturally, they don't really like 'evil/rude' characters
I guess they hate themselves too since a normal chink is even worse than her.
When was the last time a genshit banner made 15 millions?
Pretty frequently, actually. And most whales play on PC not mobile
luocha is the best character in the game
t. Otto apologist.
he did nothing wrong
Luocha's a good healer but I'm sick of people sucking him off just because of that and the fact that we've got 3 total healers right now.
Cope loucha skipper. You'll be bricked forever
I wouldn't call him the best but I actually regret not pulling him simply because of how efficient he is.
I will never stop using Bailu
Is this supposed to look bad? Every banner has been beating out Genshin by a mile and everyone saved for kafkok already. Jingliu and Topaz will BTFO sales
>No, Kafka will sell!
>Wait no, Jingliu will sell!
>Wait no, Topaz will sell!
Kek
I wonder how Mei expy will do, she managed to be the first banner on honkai and genshin
>making millions of dollars on every character released
>somehow this is bad
Are you the same kind of moron that thinks a movie with a 250M budget and 300M box office made a profit?
>he thinks it costs millions to make a character
I’m pretty sure they already made back the money needed to make hsr and even more. Also that’s a horrible analogy for a gacha game.
LOL you really are one of those morons that dont understand that theres more costs to a product that the initial production
A lot of people bought in during Seele's banner, realized kafka wasn't summonable and saved those previously purchased summons for Kafka. The summon tracker is more accurate even it's only KR numbers
I seriously doubt people like Kafka.
People are trying to meme it but the simple fact is Kafka doesn't look good, is not beautiful and there's nothing entertaining or lovable about her. Her design is so shitty that the sunglasses on top of her head are not even the right size for her, the lenses are way too close together.
You're delusional.
>Evil looking onee-san who is entirely for (You) and has the ability to make you do whatever she says, making the dommy mommy ideas write themselves
>"HOW CAN ANYONE LIKE HER I DON'T UNDERSTAND?!"
Genuine question, are you perhaps attracted exclusively to men?
liking dominant women is gay
Maybe in the case of hardcore bulldyke b***h doms, but gentle dommy mommy types are top tier.
I want to nut on her dumb face
She was more popular than the mascot girl March despite not being playable on release. Granted I don't know if we can say who is the most popular yet but Kafka has the most fanart last I checked at least.
So which is it; are you a e-girlgay or a woman?
Fu will save it
Do people really want shield characters?
Kafka was supposed to save it.
Then people found out she's a DoT character that more or less requires you to run males with her (Sampo and Luka).
And also, people realized just how light-weight Star Rail patches are going to be.
>Once you are high-level, the grind is to just take someone's Seele and go grind on auto for Relics/trace mats/ascend mats, your input is pretty much meaningless in these encounters
>And then using Abundance or Hunt Resonance to basically auto-farm Simulated Universe for more Relics, since those trivialize runs (Abundance is better, but it doesn't work in every world)
>New story content has even less content than Genshin, a given quest is a few minutes of talking (with dialogue that doesn't make you wanna have a nice day) followed by maybe a minute of walking, then throwing combat on auto, repeating until quest complete
So overall, Star Rail has failed.
>Abundance or Hunt
For me, it's Remembrance with Yanqing and Herta.
Even Destruction is actually good. Abundance and Hunt are just more approachable.
Star Rail? more like Star Fail
i quit shortly after silver wolf release, not enough content and doing the same dailies and weeklies over and over got boring.
Relic and material grinding is fricking tedious
There's nothing to talk about, seriously.
Even genshin which makes less money now has more discussion
I just got her light cone, lads! Won my 50/50! I'm so happy!
Hey, i remember you from Genshin thread. Did you pay for the gems or just pure luck ?
Pure luck. I'm only casually playing Honkey and didn't pull for any other 5-star. Kafka is my ONLY 5-star. (Dragon dicky is not counted because I got her from the guaranteed 5-star thing)
lightcone is 75/25 not 50/50
I think Ganker needs another board for anime shit games, Ganker is flooded with moronic coomers who don't talk about games but the moronic looking anime girls.
We're at the end of a patch.
Misdirected reminder
Also the gacha prices and rates being the same or higher as genshin is a big reason to not spend money, you don't get the same value for your money since this game is far smaller in scope (not a bad thing the game is smaller, but prices should be cut in half or rates at least doubled).
banner history:
>angry dyke
>gay pedo
>bronya gamer girl edition
>o*to
>edgy danmei homosexual
>ntr bait
nice game dawei
censored safehorny
march has pantie ribbons on her spats
i fricking hate censoreship as well but ccp is to blame actually not holoverse
i hate chinks either way
I will never play chinkshit no matter how hard you shill it
WTF are the drop rates. I just finished the first planet and have yet to get a single 5 star. I'm not spending fricking money
Full f2p player with 5 SSRs here. It's not that bad.
What level are you?
Frick you
The beginner banner literally gives you a guaranteed 5 star at 50 summons and they game gives you 20 wishes to start off with.
That's 1 guaranteed character that can easily be a welt or something useless.
Thanks for clarifying you're moronic.
Did you just imply Welt is bad? The only useless 5* on release was Himeko because MHY hates her.
What? I use her and she's not bad.
She's not, people just love overstating how "bad" she is because there's no real terrible characters in this game(yet), it's generally well balanced.
The worst character you can get is Himeko and even then she's useable with Asta support and she's designed for the upcoming Swarm event gamemode thing. She is also free money if you prostitute her out to other players because she clears farming domains very fast
Is Asta better than Tingyun now for Kafka teams?
Also probably tied to the fact that she's a hag and many SR players came from Genshin where they were burnt by the last hag in that game.
I remember hitting "Abyss" 5 or 6 out of 10 then seeing a huge spike in hp pool
I also remember some of genshin's launch 4* units being better than most 5* units and carrying the abyss. You don't even get a free 2nd healer in star rail, where you can't avoid taking damage because it's turn based.
>Unlike genshin
Bro, we had a spike in powercreep since 3.0. And seemingly, Fontaine will be another massive spike, where level 70 characters with mid gear can pull out multiple 500k attacks on their own. We entered the classical Honkai tier powercreep
brainlet
>Spike in powercreep
>since 3.0
There were only two, arguably one, character that was really fricking good from Sumeru, everyone else is either decent or mediocre. We have not seen true powercreep ever since the days of 2.x.
Hyperbloom itself already powercreep
dendro has made you braindead dude
compare hyperboom to national
Define mid gear, cause Lyney absolutely doesn't fit the description of "500k solo rotation."
>genshin
>powercreep
What the frick are you talking about?
Kazuha>Venti but that's about it in terms of "powercreep" and that's mostly because Venti has a lame ass 1.0 kit.
It might be in another element though
Isn’t that just dendro being op as frick? Plus you can still just run bennet with anything and be op as frick
Ganyu still just works at C0 despite being an almost 3 year old character.
There is powercreep, but it's slow and happens in spikes like with dendro.
I hate genshin's style. All characters look the same. The protagonists are garbage. The story is shit.
I liked the museum.
>turn based
>uninspired messy "sci fi" aesthetics
>uninspired waifus
>shit story
Because its an autobattler with a terrible story. At least something like Blue Archive has sexy girls in skimpy outfits to coom over.
I'm just waiting on 1.3. SU2 looks like it's gonna be massive, and the town building minigame seems fun.
So how long until the chink planet is over? It's the worst part of the game.
>So how long until the chink planet is over? It's the worst part of the game.
It really is. Holy fricking shit the chink dimension is awful.
>boring as shit architecture that's just generic asian crap smashed together
>chingchong names
>incredibly annoying enemies that resurrect themselves, summon other enemies, heal themselves or do other bullshit that prolongs the battle that I want to be over as fast as possible
>that b***h kafka
If the next planet isn't a massive improvement I might just quit because I had zero fun in the chinkiverse.
Unironically hyped for the Loufu quarter reconstruction thing. IPC will take over.
foxian women belong to big human wiener
Also extremely israeli of them to not give a 2nd free healer, when you cannot use healing items during combat so you have quite literally no way to deal with AoE damage on one of your two teams unless you use Gepard who is also a 5*.
>play Genshin on and off
>stop playing it with HSR comes out
>play HSR until Fontaine's release in Genshin
>go back to Genshin
>immediately struck by how much better Genshin's gameplay is
Argue about waifus all you want, but Genshin is objectively a better actual game.
Better how? SR doesn't have amazing gameplay but Genshin is just Q+E the game outside a few characters.
HSR doesn't even allow basic shit like jumping lmao
I want bing bing wahoos to leave
I get that HSR works better for some people, like those who want an easy mobage for commuting etc. But if you actually like pressing keys and moving your mouse and feel like you're contributing something to the movements on the screen, Genshin is way way way better. I dropped HSR because it feels like I'm doing fricking nothing but a few clicks every day, only so I can clear content which is just staring at an auto battle while I eat my lunch. I'd rather just watch a movie than watch the same autobattle again and again.
>But if you actually like pressing Q and E Genshin is way way way better.
ftfy
If you think you can play genshin with just those two key's then please try. I think there's some meme boss clear video where you can only use E and character swap to move, but that took a while and decent planning to pull off.
>If you think you can play genshin with just those two key's then please try
Oh I'm sorry, you need to swap so the numbers 1-4 as well. Real "in depth" combat it has.
>In HSR the only character's element that matters is your 1-2 carry's.
That's literally how it works with Genshin beyond a support applying hydro or dendro or whatever exclusively for the reaction.
>That's literally how it works with Genshin
It's literally not.
>It's literally not.
Genshin's combat is extremely basic regardless, Q+E is what you do 99% of the time and acting like SR is "so much less in depth" just because you press less buttons is genuinely moronic.
dragonstrike diluc uses spacebar (I get that it's a meme)
wanderer uses spacebar hold to fly higher
plunge attacks use spacebar
it's not the most used key but it's there
>play yelan
>R
>M1 x 1000
>E
>E
>repeat until enemy dies
>>E
>>E
>he rolled for C1
You're supposed to run while E is up, so you need at least W key+mouse control too. I don't have yelan but I've tried her a few times.
So now it's suddenly not about the complexity of the gameplay it's how you interact with the world despite SR explicitly not being an open world game?
>i-it's not even trying to be a game
thank you, finally we can agree on something
you can cancel the ult animations, it's actually a good thing to pull off in harder content like abyss. HSR does require you to push buttons too yes, but so does a DVD menu.
Since when was a game defined by how you interact with the world? ESPECIALLY jrpgs?
>i-it's not even trying to be a game
Good job misquoting someone just to fit your narrative. You have no argument, just stop.
>Genshin is a game because it is at least interactable, HSR is more like a repetitive anime with a few clicks here and there
Genshin has repetitive ult animations just the same but it's okay because you press more buttons during combat, while it's bad in HSR because you press less buttons? One is "interactable" and one isn't, despite you having to press buttons in both games? Man, you're really losing me here with your biased bullshit.
Mah great repetable combat in genshin when it's the same fricking 4 attacks autoattack combo, same skill and same ult animation
Neither does RE4 and people love that game.
has a turn based rpg ever allowed jumping?
I jumped a few times in SMTV
>he hasn't played THE jumping jrpg
SMT V has full flown platforming sections
This is all Genshin has and even then I'd argue it doesn't make the game better given how much boring shit is in the world.
>How? It's just "use the strongest reaction these characters can do and build around that".
In HSR the only character's element that matters is your 1-2 carry's. For tanks, healers, and supports the elements are literally unnecessary. Genshin at least rewards you for designing teams in a wholistic manner.
>teambuilding in hsr doesn't matter
You either haven't played the game or you're dumb
I've played enough to realize the game is unengaging and shallow. I'm not saying Genshin Impact is GOTY or on par with AAA non-gachas, but Genshin's gameplay is as close to objectively better as it gets.
Enjoy your game I guess? Personally I prefer turn based and the non-cancerous chore farming gameplay in hsr
>HSR combat is literally just build a team and press auto
Try to do than in memory of chaos and see if that works.
Basic=/=bad.
>Star rail has no interaction between characters, you just use your best damage dealer of the required element, best buffers, and best healer.
That's implying you can beat high level stuff like MoC without worrying about team comp which is dead wrong.
They are both good but it's obvious they put way more effort in genshin.
I want to eat himeko sludge
I just want to hold her gently and sweetly.
Fontaine alone is better and more interesting than whatever this game has going on.
weebslop
Why would I ever play a game that sounds like the noise a clowns nose would make
There's nothing to do in hsr other than auto battle enemies.
Will the damage reduction of Wuthring Snow actually apply to the damage Fu Xuan will absorb from the team or is that just hopium
It does, but even if it doesn't, she'll still get targeted most of the time because she's preservation
I'm going to run 2pc Wuthering 2pc HP set
I was going to go with that aswell before they buffed her base defence and hp, now i am going 4p hp set for a bit more damage from her with that ult damage boost SU set.
how many times can I get gems from visitors? and how many times can I do pompom quest per day?
Where does the monry this game make go to?
It makes as much as triple AAA games but the stuff in it doesnt feel like it.
To the real passion project, honkai 3rd.
I hated her the very moment I saw her and I can't help feeling that the game is forcing you to like her.
is it fun? it looks good but i'm so burnt out on time wasting garbage.
It's fun during honeymoon, then it becomes time wasting garbage.
It's pretty, has a nice OST and the Belobog story was decent imo. I had fun with it for a month, got tired of it after that and then uninstalled. So give it a try if you're interested.
Is it true this game is a space opera?
No. Space related content is zero
If i gamba and win a 50/50 this far into Kafka's banner i probably wont have enough pulls to secure Fu Xuan by the end of her banner, even with supply and battlepass, right?
How does the visitor stellar jade reward work? I thought it was only once per character, but clara just gave me 10 jades again
She wants you to give her that BSC (Big Stellaron wiener)
It's really random, no guarantee you'll get anything
Nothing about this game makes me want to play it, but Pom-Pom (female) has some nice porn.
>Pom Pom (female)
homosexual.
Sorry about your wienerlust.
What can I say?
Pom Pom's pom poms allure me.
Am I missing something?
Why are people comparing a turn based game to an action game in terms of amount of inputs?
Does that mean Starcraft, Smash Melee and Fighting games are the best games ever?
Genshintards got pissy when I mentioned that it's just a Q+Efest so now it's apparently better that you press more keys.
Genshit elitists when faced with the first actual rival to their beloved game
I wish it rivaled genshin, I wanted something to do while waiting for new genshin patches. I ended up uninstalling HSR and trying out FGO instead. Amazing how a mobage from 2014 has more gameplay than the latest billion dollar gacha from mihoyo.
>FGO
>better gameplay than SR
Now I know you're shitposting, nobody likes FGO's gameplay.
It's not anything amazing, and it's ugly as sin. But I still feel like my choices matter and I don't have an auto AI babysitting me through the fights.
Yea Black it's not like I can use FGA to automatize this shit.
It's not anything amazing, and it's ugly as sin. But I still feel like my choices matter
The choices
>Let's do it!
>Let's go Mash!
the sad thing is fgo still manages to mog homosexual rail in gameplay
which is more saying that the latter is utterly atrocious rather than fate being good
>the sad thing is fgo still manages to mog homosexual rail in gameplay
How so?
Basic FGO gameplay is
>Loop through the game with your Castoria, Skadi or Tamavich
>challenge quests are practically the same but you might need to restart the game a few times because of RNG bullshit
At least in FGO we can one shot enemies and farm without playing the game for real with a mod. HSR has nothing, you have to press the buttons to do things, AI just picks random actions in HSR which makes you lose time.
Just stop playing HSR, there is nothing in that game.
FGO had dogshit gameplay the day it came out. Granblue shit all over it.
>FGO, better story, anime, movie, animation, card system based RPG, easy to learn.
>HSR, no explanation on world, not sci-fi, bad storytelling, genshin impact UI, box open world, the world not safe, not wanted in second arc of story. It's just two buttons, nothing else.
HSR is bad.
>GeT PItY
No you don't, HSR doesn't offer it either. Read their rules next time.
you're moronic
>FGO gacha is better at least,
come the frick on dude, the story might be better but fgo is a complete garbage gacha with shitty pity system that only still popular with the nips
if you're autoing either game, time doesnt really matter dummy. hsr doesnt have lotto events like fgo does so your point kinda stinks
>FGO is so shit that anon has to mod his app just so it can play itself
>90% of FGO is just farming materials
no thanks fatetroon
>Actually trying to hype up Loop Grand Order
lol
lmao even
Hey genshit elitists, why all your game banners keep flopping?
Suschlong futa.
drew clara
Cute Clara.
>svarog_red_eyes.png
Cool, anon.
Nice anon!
I love collecting works by drawanons
Nice Clara toes
>when a cool animation syncs up perfectly with the battle music
SR tickles this very specific autism
I think Genshin is more fun than Honkai
Honkai was only more fun when you consider Genshin during Sumeru times. Fontaine blows the ever living frick out of anything Honkai does with pure gameplay.
>Clara
>March
>Bronya
>???
Any advice on who or what kind of unit my last character in this team should be? Needs to be a 4*
Would be easier to help you if you said which 4 stars you have.
Forgot to mention I refuse to use a male in that slot. Only males I am willing to use are Sampo and Welt. I don't own Welt and Sampo is in my Kafka team. Here are my choices.
>Hook
>Herta
>Asta
>Yukong
>Sushang
>Serval
>Qingque
>Trailblazer
Arlan
Brony and clara don't synergize that well
Get shushang and you got a good team against physical though
I run Tingyun in my Kafka team with Sampo and Natasha. Should I swap Bronya and Tingyun in these two teams?
You should put Asta in your Kafka team and give Tingyun to Clara. Asta works really well with Kafka.
I forgot to mention my Sampo is E6 and my Kafka is E1. I'm not sure if that changes things up at all for team comps.
Not really, i'd still say Asta is probably your best one to level
I fricking hate the rates in this game. There's not many characters so the rates are fricking abysmal. Genshin suffers from this too.
I love this game. I wish they would release more story content quicker but whatever.
boring, censored and safe designs, homobait males, shit story, turn based gacha (LMAO), zero soul, feels like an apple product turned videogame
>censored

So the new SPD set from the new Caverns is it good on any character at the moment?
Seems good on most supports. Maybe Asta to just get even more speed if it stacks.
You just reminded me I need to spend the last day of double relics trying to get some wind pieces for Pela
Thanks for the help guys. So now the team is Tingyun, Clara, and March. What archetype of character does this team need for the final slot the most? Do I just want a single target DPS like Sushang? Or do I want another support to pile buffs on Clara?
>start playing
>get Welt as my free 5*
>well i'd rather have a cute girl but at least he's good i guess
>get Gepard as my second 5*
>well shit... at least he's also good i guess
>not counting guaranteed limited 5* (i lost all 50/50 rolls)
>get Welt as my third 5*
>get Gepard as my fourth 5*
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH STOP IT
the gacha feels pretty rigged.
I got the same pulls, but replace Gepard with Bronya. Lost all 50/50s, no early five stars, and all lost 50/50 were dupes.
I dunno as a completely f2p player, no battle pass or nothing, i have all the characters unlocked except for clara and seele. Seems pretty fair to me.
My first 2 5* were both Bailu. Lost two more 50/50 and got yanqing and Himeko. The only luck I got in this game was Seele LC on a random 10roll i did as a mistake.
>yanqing
He is decent
Atleast that's better than getting 2 Himekos
My first SSRs were Welt and Gepard as well.
>anon got the Chad seed
giwtwm
bro i have 3 himekos as my only 5*, quit b***hing like a homosexual
>people doing hsr vs genshin
Why? The gameplay is nothing alike I like both games
isnt the gameplay running around and furiously clicking trough exremely long, bloated and boring dialogues, whilehave a rigged gacha that monstly consists of game males?
I dropped it because it has too much unskipable dialogue, it´s unbearable.
>why no one s talking about it?
Because it's a mediocre boredom like every single other gacha steaming pile of feces.
Yep that's an HTR thread
QQ!
is bad!
>why no one s talking about it?
Because we arent talking about Tower of Fantasy neither anon :3
Feels bad that while Genshin has the better gameplay/exploration (actual worlds with things to find not just hallways) HSR story and writing is infinitely better than Genshin. Just wished i had a game with Genshins Gameplay and HSR writing
I almost skipped on Kafka but I did a ten roll and got her. Probably will need to skip topaz since I also want Jingliu, Black Swan and Rush Mei so far. Never know when shit is gonna release. Gotta hoard.
>Rush Mei
yes, I do wish they rush and give us mei already
Star Rail Mei will either be meh or pure sex.
I think Raiden Shogun is pretty shit so I'm not hype for her really. That's the Genshin version right?
Raiden Shogun is genshin Mei, yes.
I like Honkai Mei so I'm looking forward to Star Rail Mei.
Only Jingliu is coming relatively soon, you shouldn't go crazy over saving.
Is it worth it to use 70-80 tickets on 5* Den, or keep saving for better chance on Fu Xuan? I like both characters, but I'm not feeling that lucky.
If you need DPS, get Dan. If you need a preservation, get Fu.
Do we have any idea how good Fu will be? Preservation sounds interesting and I could use someone that isn't MC or M7.
She got some buffs in the latest playtest and currently she looks like a better Gepard, but who knows for sure.
how long does it usually take for genshin to re-release a character? I want to get seele E1
After the first rerun it's like half a year or so.
boring as frick
sunk cost fallacy is hitting hard. I've been skipping days lately and about to hit tb 67. I kinda want to hold out until we get off the chinky planet if it will reignite my interest but the story certainly wasn't as good as I expected. It's actually worse than genshin but lucked out on a few interesting characters.
dude, there's like 5 daily bump limit honkai generals on /vg/ Every. Single. Day.
do you want it here? do you want it here you fricking moron?
>only two events per patch
Is it going to stay this way forever? Feels like there's nothing to do. Don't get me wrong—the generic combat events Genshin gets aren't all that great either, but at least it gives you something to do.
I got Kafka and uninstalled
Same
Got Himeko and then uninstalled
Reinstalled, got Kafka, uninstalled
A friend recommended Arknights after I said that Simulated Universe was the only fun gameplay in Star Rail. Should I?
just play girls frontline instead
Maybe. I can understand why the recommendation, but you still need to grind in that game and you should definitely stay away if you're averse to males or a few furry characters
Reviews complaining about endless dialogue.
It's not that bad.
Want to skip this fricking dialogue.
Too busy fapping
To blue archive porn
I stopped playing like a week ago and have no desire to go back.
>Star Rail could have been the Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy version of Genshin
Where did it all go wrong?
When they decided to make it a JRPG.
i was going to start playing when i found out how hot kafka is but i was too late to guarantee her banner so im waiting for a rerun to play
How long does it take for these chinks to rerun banners? I probably won't get Kafka this time around (lost the 50/50)
Between 6 and 12 months. We're still a while till the Seele rerun.
Holy frick, any other DoT character scheduled? Aside from Kafka I'd only want Jing Liu from likely future characters
Black swan seems to be DoT oriented.
3 weeks usually, Kafka will go away next tuesday or earlier depending on your server.
Just got this for my Clara from the normal tickets bros
Got Kafka and her cone in 50 pulls too. Finally some good fricking food
Why am I so bad at #6, I just keep fricking it up.
yo, how often does this reset? I just finished Jerilo6 and it's still locked for me, I dont know how much time I have for another, anon just starting here
you need to clear the first 15 permanent ones before MoC unlocks, it resets once every 2 weeks.
gotcha
I can't even get that far in these.
The game will help you if you use units that the game wants you to use. Like this abyss wants dot characters.
Now that I have Kafka, time to go into hibernation and save for Mei. I love electro hags so much bros.
boring game with equally sterile presentation
The final bosses have very nice presentation and music.
Have you tried using your containment board?
>they don't know classic overvape national is stronger than almost every hyperbloom comp
Luckily you have two sides in the abyss but lol
lmao
it has better music than genshit, i'll give it that
doubt
post the ost
She will be good with Fu, right? Please say yes.
No clue but I will use them together regardless, as God intended.
The two don't have any special synergy, Fu will be good in all teams.
She will still be RNG-limited.
