I could never get fully into this game, like I beat it and had fun playing it but it was never scary or unsettling, but its up there with F.E.A.R. and half life for yearly replay.
Explain what disqualifies System Shock 2 from being an RPG, and before you answer let me remind you that literally every game with skills you can upgrade is automatically an RPG.
>literally every game with skills you can upgrade is automatically an RPG
Well if you admit that Call of Duty is an RPG then I won't argue with you.
Otherwise I'll point out that what separates an RPG from an action game is whether it focuses on character skill vs player skill.
System Shock would work better as a movie handled by a strong director and scriptwriter rather than video game nerds. The concept is probably the scariest piece of science fiction horror out there, but it's underutilized as a video game.
>there are people who turn the music off because "it's not le scary"
Actual subhumans, but to be honest only 3-4 songs are Drum and Bass, the rest is mostly atmospheric stuff.
They'd hate System Shock 1's OST. SS2 at least give breathing room between the hyped up music and the atmospheric parts. I'll never get medical out of my head.

based, i replay it or fan missions every year as well
SS2 had such a banging soundtrack. We need more good DnB in games again.
Yeah SS2 soundtrack is solid but it's weird to have such bangers in a horror game.
it was kinda weird to me at first but honestly i wouldnt have it any other way now
and thats a good thing
Its supposed to be a horror game?
nope. it's an action game with creepy elements
It has horror elements (body horror mostly) but it's not a horror game, just like it has RPG elements but isn't an RPG.

>and so i call it Drum and Bass instead of tecno
Because it is? Techno has a more hypnotic rhythm and a slower BPM.
Dude, no one gives a frick. All music that uses electronic instrumenst is techno and there are no subdivisions of techno, they're just all techno.
Also all music with an electric guitar is metal and all other music is classical.
For me it's Neo-prog folk dungeon vaporsynth and bass with hints of IDM-step
for me it is women farting in chapels

Choose
marines
rifles and pistols skill made the game easy
i need to do a psi run someday
playing a chad melee OSA agent is the best
Right now I did Marines. Should give OSA a chance at some point.
Navy because I like to feel like a tech specialist who can still shoot things dead. That said, I haven't done an OSI playthrough yet.
It's a game from the late 1990s. Do you not remember how amazingly tacky the late 90s were?

Yeah
