according to youtube shills its not that bad
the original 2x pro drops about 1-2 frames at most
its excellent with a gaymen monitor
a 2x pro is like 15$ more might as well support the actual dev instead of being a horrid leach cringeposter
>according to people paid to promote this product it's not bad
Are you even remotely aware of what you just said?
>only about 1-2 frames at most
So ad those 2 frames to the 4 frames your shitty modern TV has, plus another 2 frames from your wireless controller etc etc etc, you're looking at fast past platformers, shmups, and fighting games being completely unplayable.
>buying chink gadgets instead of using Emulators made by patricians
Why you are like this?
>i simbly pretend to play the gaems via emulatin!
its a yikes from me
>pretend to play
I had the same mentality as yours of “it’s not the real thing”. Then I stopped being an ignorant fool.
Do you know how computers and software work? and what does I/O mean?
Once you figure this out, you will let go of that stupid mentality .
>i pretend the lag isnt there lol
ok
even with a 1ms gaming monitor
without composite bloom/blur it looks like shit
i refuse to play like that
i would rather just not play at all
emulation is cool if you want to try a system or game maybe
but frick actually trying play games like that
imagine youre dating a cutie
>uh waiit uh hold on
*fiddles with homosexual menus and settings for so long neither of you want to play anymore*
sad
Talking about emulator lag is redundant when your proposed alternative is an analogue to digital scaler; you will have more lag than any emulator, especially with interlaced signals. In this respect, using a scaler hilariously results in a less authentic experience than using an emulator. I am arguing entirely in good faith when I say that these scalers are made exclusively for consoomers: consoomers who just had to replace their perfectly working TV with the latest and greatest marketed product from <BRAND> that, in its greatness, lacks analogue inputs—they subsequently spend further money on scalers because they are too impulsive to wonder whether there is a superior alternative that is cheaper if not outright already available, such as their previous analogue-ready television, and too incompetent to move ROM's into a folder. They're stuck in a consumerist purgatory where their experience is not only obviously inferior experience to that of CRT users and emulator users, but much more expensive as well. These people cannot be helped. I really want a documentary on such individuals with David Attenborough's voice.
This is unironically the most level headed post regarding emulation vs og hardware on a modern display. Well done anon, screencapping

if i was dating cuties i wouldnt be playing old ass video games.
also, are these cuties that are interested in retro games in the room with us anon ?
>Every time there's thread related to real hardware you go "lol just emulator bruh"
Why you are like this?
What's the point of having real hardware and not using a CRT? If you went all the trouble to find old consoles and games, then a CRT shouls be easy peasy for you. Why spend relevant extra cash t lo end up with something worse than emulation?
I want it mainly for streaming, i tried the av2hdmi and it sucks ass
just because i can't fit a crt into my current setup doesn't mean i should sell everything i've had for decades and switch to dicking around with my pc that barely every works when i could pop in a cart and just play the game. moronic post
>poorgay can't afford decent house to properly accommodate a single piece of equipment to his hoarding
>gold medal in mental gymnastics to be able to cope
moronic post
>one bookshelf is hoarding
>necrobumping
shooting for the olympics are we?
>Has a paltry of heap trash
>Clueness enough to call it a "setup"
>Doesn't want to "sell everything" (a fricking bookshelf) as if he actually had a proper collection
>Still willing to burn cash at overpriced scalers, instead of using a CRT or just emulating
>Talk shit about others, but feel threatened when called out ("b-b-but necrobumping")
Of course it was unintentional from your part, but thanks for the morale boost. Feels great not being you.
bait is fun but now you're trying too hard friend, as honest feedback keep it shorter and more on the nail and i would have continued but you made it weird
I would keep it short, if you weren't a machine gun of failure. At least, fail one step at a time, so I won't have to dump everything in a single reply. Either that or just avoid being mad when someone points out why your product is bad.
Just tested one today, seems good. It's a retrotink clone and the tink is fine.
It is a line-doubler, not a frame-buffer so there is technically none —you're looking at sub 1 frame.
Pressed post too soon —it's an exact clone of the original Retrotink 2X, so any videos about that will be applicable. It's arguably better because it actually has a power switch and full sized HDMI. I own both, they are indistinguishable from one another.
the 2xpro has a full size hdmi
no power switch though which in hindsight is a b***h move not to include honestly
>emulate my games with a crt.
Feels good, loooooks good
