What the frick, people are seriously getting filtered by the first level? How is anyone this bad at video games? I beat it on the first try.
Seriously anyone who can't get past the first level of this shit: Stop playing video games. You should not be playing video games. Pick up a card game or read a book or some slow, boring shit for slow, boring people like yourself. Honestly it just blows my mind how many people who shouldn't even be playing video games at all keep complaining about them.
Man, what the frick.

the game is fricking ugly. How can you release a game this ugly in 2023
bump
Only children and braindead cretins care about graphics.
>only children braindead and braindead cretins care about visuals in a visual medium
/v/, ladies and gents.
>visual medium
Video games are about the gameplay. That's entirely interactive.
True, that's why everyone exclusively plays text-based RPGs.
I can cut people up in real-time in those games directly controlling the player?
No because you need real time VISUALS for that.
Text is visuals also. A game can be nothing but wireframes and it doesn't matter. Gameplay is the only thing that matters.
INTERACTIVE medium first, brainlet.
See
The fact that
and adventure games even exist and are well-liked by many in the first place just proves your point wrong, dipshit.
>A game can be nothing but wireframes and it doesn't matter.
Oh okay, that's probably the reason why Galaga is still the absolute best game to play in 2023.
A game can be nothing but wireframes and yes still count as a game, again you're just proving yourself wrong. They're called GAMES not Graphics-ers.
>A game can be nothing but wireframes and yes still count as a game
Just not a good one. The initial point was that AC6's visuals are pretty shit for a 2023 game, both on a technical standpoint and with regards to its art direction (everything being grey and drab, including enemies).
>visuals are pretty shit for a 2023 game
Why am I surprised to care.
If well written a text-based game could be excellent. My apologies for your NA education dickweed. Graphics aren't important. Art direction is though, yeah.
>shitting on Galaga
Kys
Had to be made with PS4/Xbone in mind.
This is what AAA games look like honey you better get used to it.
>AC6
>AAA
lol
lmao even
>from
>not a AAA dev
Lmfao
They aren't. They don't have huge marketing budgets.
>t. mindbroken shazamtroony
Looks amazing to me. Get better taste.
still made for last gen consoles.
Been in dev for a long time, and only got overhyped due to newfriends jumping on the elden ring bandwagon.
DS1 was ugly as shit, and the taurus demon filtered most.
>DS1 ugly
i just dont know how this is an opinion
1) Dilapidated Kingdom where you start out but still looks awesome. You can see entirely across the game world to locations you will visit/have lost your bloodstain.
2) Anor Londo surely must be the among the most forgettable locations in video games. Oh wait its gorgeous and iconic.
But yeah for taurus fricked people up, I just fought him straight up and didn't cheese the plunge attack
dude the aesthetic rules what are you on about
please tell me games you think look better(obviously AC6 isn't the top but I love the look) Im really asking. I'll give you the new zelda.
Which also proves fidelity is shit compared to art direction, and I don't even see anything wrong with the graphics in rubicon.
Personally I don't need uber detailed faces where I see every ugly pore. I was fine with spiky Lara croft tiddies
Ugly i don t care, the game is just boring..
you tried it? I'm excited but always temper expectations. Whats up, boring missions? Just looking for honest opinions anon
don't listen to him
>graphics are good
>performance is good
>controls are good
>AC customization is good
>difficulty is good
it's a good game
>AC customization is good
the most important aspect, good to hear
now... any tips on setting up a windows 10 vm? I have more than enough power to run it and the game I think, comp is only a few months old. Is it possible to dual-boot windows versions...?
>any tips on setting up a windows 10 vm?
no sorry, didn't use VMs for a long time
There hasn't been a good looking game released in 15 years, what are you talking about? Thanks, Unreal Engine.
What? From uses unreal engine?
He's implying the cause of ugly games lies in the usage of the Unreal Engine.
Well, he's probably moronic valvegay then.
bump
yeah the graphics aren't that good but the art direction is carrying hard
I beat the helicopter once I figured out it was weak to boost + melee cheese. But I can see why some ppl might get filtered.
They're probably going in, expecting either standard 3rd person cover shooting combat, or soulsborne style i-frame dodge roll gameplay.
So when they're out in the open, boosting around, and the helicopter mows you down with machine gun fire, they're going to get frustrated.
I also notice that many normies just keep trying 1 strat over and over again, and then give up when it doesn't work for the 7th time. There might be some kind of IQ or behavior gap. Seasoned gamers will try different strategies, but normies (and most journalists) won't.
yeah I used like 2 repair packs until I realized I could just fly around, spam my weapons and melee until he died. I was flabberghasted by how anyone thought this was hard, but then I remembered normies can't actually adapt or think strategically at all.
How is it a good or challenging game if it gives you tons of tools and guns but the only viable strategy is to hug your enemies and spam melee? Haven't played btw, but this sounds boring.
I literally shot it in the underside a bunch until it died. It wasn't practical, but there's options in this game.
It’s the only viable strategy for the starter build in that specific fight, likely to emphasize the importance of using assault boost to close distance quickly.
Replay the mission with a tank build rocking dual grenade rifles and shoulder mounted missiles and you can just blow it apart.
>How is it a good or challenging game if it gives you tons of tools and guns but the only viable strategy is to hug your enemies and spam melee?
It's not. Spam missiles is also a viable strat.
>Haven't played btw, but this sounds boring.
Yeah you're not special, most of Ganker doesn't actually play video games.
That strategy is for the first mission, where you're stuck with the starter mech meaning you can't customize yet, thanks for clarifying that you havn't played the game but why do you think you needed to have an opinion without playing?
Same, I got through the prologue pretty quick up to the helicopter, lost twice and then the game clicked for me and I beat it the third try. After that I sped through the first chapter fairly quick. Overall I'm enjoying the game, it's a fun time!
I think the game really hammered the whole 'don't just keep trying one strat' thing home when I fought the boss at the end of Chapter 1. The second I started using Pulse guns to shred his Pulse armor it was a lot easier. I'd been using an entirely energy based loadout up until then, Pulse armor no sold EVERYTHING I had.
It's completely fine to play this game with artillery builds too, as long as you know where to move and what to shoot and which weapons to swap for specific situations. The mosquito builds and over-commiting to specific loadouts is the most common shit i see in the current threads.
>boost and melee the boss
>get hit by 50 rockets and lose 80% of my heath
Ok
>Giant fricking gunship that has an assload of guns which all face forwards
>'I should rush directly towards it!'
sasuga anon-sama
next time try approaching from an angle where you aren't in the firing arc of literally every weapon that it has
>Szop dodging and just boost through it!
>You cant just boost through it you need to doege
Ok
Beat chapter 1 since then, but it’s boring. i’ll just play red dead
The problem is it's just frustrating. I just beat sea spider, and it's unlike any armored core game. I played a bunch to get ready for this, and besides a few very select missions, AC is a pretty laid back experience.
Adding in all the souls like bosses has made it go from a laid back experience to a heart pounder/control snapper. I never liked that about souls, but at least you could play with friends to make things way eaaier. This is all solo. It's also crazy to think that you have to beat sea spider (chapter 2) just to unlock pvp. I think most people won't be able to make it here.
It has the same problem as some fights in elden ring. There's just too much happening on screen to get a read on enemy attack patterns, and some of the dodge windows are extreme to say the least.
I don't think many people will enjoy this game.
>Beat chapter 1 since then
You were having trouble with the gunship and you beat chapter 1 less than 3 hours later?
Dodge so that you aren't in the firing arc, then rush
Your critical thinking skills are broken you should get them fixed.
It wiped my ass the first time around, just flew in from the left and destroyed me. Beat it second try though, by the skin of my teeth. I haven't had much trouble with the game to be honest, only died a couple of times and I don't think I'm very good at the game. I've just reached the boss of The Watchpoint, he's killed me once now I'm taking break.
I died three times against the helicopter before realizing exactly the same thing. It can't hit you when you're underneath it because all it has are front facing firing arcs, so as long as it doesn't decide to be a massive fricking homosexual and stay out of bounds forever, it's easy.
>Seriously anyone who can't get past the first level of this shit
Now try beating Balteus
believe it or not Black person, it is possible to enjoy more than one type of game
I'm excited for the game to actually get challenging. I wanna meet the real gatekeeper, obviously normies can't play games if the level 1 and 2 boss are ripping people in half.
Is ratchet and clank any good if you're not the type to have ever played any of the others?
honestly? it's the best benchmark game there is right now. If you want to run the game at max settings, it will look incredible and also tax the frick out of your system. make sure you have an nvme or at least ssd. also best game for the dualsense controller, the use of haptics and adaptive triggers is pretty neat. It's a pretty cool mascot platformer game with third person shooting and a lot of neat gun ideas, the portal grappling is pretty awesome too. If you think you could get into that, you will probably enjoy the game. Also it's on the cutting edge of fur physics. Sadly most pc gamers aren't that into mascot platformers so it's not getting too much sales on Steam. But yes, Rift Apart is a great game and I want to frick the Lombax.
>armor
>breasts in armor

The world is healing
BIG LOMBAX breasts
Anon, 3 out of 4 of those pictures have extended ear-like portions from their heads, and for all I know AC6 has the option. You have a type, it's okay!
I died like 15 times to it before I figured out that trying to fight at mid range and use the cover is a fricking mistake. The first fight I actually hit a melee I won.
It's like the time after the release of Sekiro.
It either clicks and you understand what the game asks of you or it doesn't and you go cry in some forum.
Sekiro honestly ain't that hard either. 95% of the game can just be cheesed with ichimonji double plus the axe.
some people are so completely moronic that they keep trying to play Sekiro like a soulsborne game and dodge through everything, only to find this ridiculously hard because the developers intentionally lowered the I-frames in the dodge to encourage people to use the deflect system, which is generous to the point of triviality in some cases
but these mouthbreathing homosexuals refuse to try out deflecting, instead they try dodging through everything, fail 200 times, then go on a forum (or write an article) about how the game is shit and is designed by sadists, because heaven-forbid the player who tries to fit the square peg into the circle hole could ever be the one who is wrong....
>cheese
Thats the thing. Why you need to look for cheese tactics and shit? Just learn the game, its fun when you make it flow, like a dance
80% on PSN. Massive drop off after that though, Wallclimber is down to 30%. I did both, plus Watchtower in my first sitting.
It's just console kiddies, steam shows 78.3 % of players have beat the first mission
I don't think anyone "getting filtered" by the helicopter are actually having trouble beating it.
I would say dying to it more than 2 times is also getting filtered.
I was checking out 2ch and there are japs who spent 30 minutes on the heli
soulslop clearly attracted a lot of casuals to Armored Kino
Japs are mostly a bunch of gacha/mobile gaming shiteaters.
I find it hard to believe any souls veteran took any more than 2 tries to beat it.
The copter took 2 tries but the ball missile fricker has been killing me for 2 hours now
>I would say dying to it more than 2 times is also getting filtered.
Moron.
Sometimes, especially in the case of poorly designed games, it takes a while for someone to finally understand what the game/boss is asking of the player. Dying a few times isn't the same as getting filtered.
I'm having more trouble than I thought I would. It's mostly getting used to the controls. I'm trying to play it like I would play VD and I'm paying for it.
>gave it a try
>didn't like
>refund
Nothing to do with difficulty. I really just don't like mechashit is all.
So you knew you didn't like mecha, yet weren't smart enough to not buy it in the first place?
No. I just decided to give a try and see if maybe it could pull me in.
It didn't and that's fine. Mechas are just like cars to me; they're all the same as far as I'm concerned.
Happy for AC gays for getting their game game though.
>Mechas are just like cars to me; they're all the same as far as I'm concerned.
I got an ane/o/rys/m/ reading that
Good for you
Why yes. To me, and also 90% of the world, it is.
oh yeah a Mercedes C111 is the same as a Mazda Cosmo 111S....
homosexual
I played AC before but yeah the helicopter only took me two tries. No idea how people are getting stuck on it, the second time I didn't even use a repair kit
No, the game is flopping because it is genuinely bad, not because it is hard.
> Dude, Ice Skating robots that dodge spam!
The game is a bad joke. Enjoy flexing in front of a mirror pretending it's the players, not the game, because sucking off From Software made you look like a badass in your mind. Yeah... kinda hard to do when you are dealing with a comically bad game and everyone is looking at it like wtf is that shit.
> They're like Robots! And they ice skate!
> t. Tryhard Poseur
lmao
it's a niche game for those that like customizing a mecha. it should probably be $40. beyond that you're a filtered homosexual zoomer
its also not flopping, there's like 100k concurrent. thatd make it one of the best selling games of the year.
if youre comparing it to FROM games, whatever. youre dumb, youre mad, get real
>projection
I feel like this game will be more well received if they lowered the price over time. Same shit happened to MGR when it released. People hated it at first but when it went on sale everyone suddenly loved it.
Over time this game will be treated as the piece of shit that it is. For the first few days people have to pretend to like it because they can't turn their back on the cult.
gays are getting filtered because they can't out level the content.
FRICK SEA SPIDER
FRICK SEA SPIDER
FRICK SEA SPIDER
FRICK SEA SPIDER
agreed frick that homosexual peace of shit, I don't even feel bad for tank scumming that pos frick you spider Black person die die die die
that thing was made by a bunch of MAD SCIENTISTS
The stagger on it is so fricking bullshit, just gonna try shotgunning it in the face next time, not even the grenade launcher that does 1k damage dents its health,
I beat it by having 2 dual barrel cannons, a pilebunker and a laser pistol
Charged pilebunker while it's staggered does assloads of damage
I thought journalists were shit at the game, but it's just sad really. They call themselves fans, but they treat this game like Dark Souls dodging and dying.
I thought they were better than this, "Fellow Ravens."
never, ever underestimate how bad gaming journalists are at actually playing video games.
Journalists are gamers who reached an actual limit in their ability and chose to write instead to feel good about themselves.
They are the definition of failures to get good.
nah, most game journalists are people who don't care about games at all, but couldn't cut it as actual syndicated columnists for real news outlets.
to be fair
four answers is probs the most popular entry till 6 and tby the end of it you can't stop moving or youw ill die
The problem here, that some people are slowly dawning in on and will make them sour on AC6 even though they are AC fans, is that the main strat for most encounters in this game is going to be melee. The game *is* focused on melee combat. Guns are going to play a support role in this game.
Not even a problem for me because I fricking love melee in AC
You would think so many people coming from souls would actually be happy melee is such a big deal here, but nope. omnidirectional combat triggers the soulslets brain.
I disagree. I think melee weapons have been given a role equal to that of ranged weapons but they have not superseded them.
I prefer character action over shooting games so I'm fine with this.
Anon, armor management in ranged combat has always been a thing in AC, this game is made so much easier with the opportunities to repair you can go with multiple styles of mech now.
>How to spot people who didn't play the game
how do you stun this Black person?
i just hit him wiht the sword a bunch but i don’t understand how staggers work
hit him with the sword and blast your missiles at him. Repeat and he shall be dead in a few minutes. It isn't that hard once you figure this out. If you slide around and cover yourself, the heli will destroy you.
Always be near him, be offensive and melee attack him. Never go into ranged mode or stay on the floor. Boost to him and hit hard.
You know that old 40K image where somebody's in a tank shouting "Drive me closer, I want to hit him with my sword"? Do that.
HOW THE FRICK DO I BEAT THE STUPID STEALH SNIPER N I G G E R S
THEY WON'T COME DOWN TO FIGHT ME LIKE THE SGITTY LITTLE c**tS THEY ARE
shot them
Just equip the grenade launcher you get and shoot at the wall 🙂
Use the scan ability bro :p
Overboost up to them and smack them with your beam saber.
equip shittiest scan you can get (doesn't matter you won't use it anyway)
be a slow tank build
only equip close range weapons without aoe
complain on Ganker how it's bullshit
literally just fly up to them and shoot them moron
>Press dpad down to activate Raven Vision
>pull out your grenade launcher
>fire in their general vicinity
>giggle as the flaming gibs fall to the ground
game runs pretty dece on Deck
go Bibooo go!
>watching prostitutes
Disgusting.
I'm waiting for Ina to stream AC6 and trying to keep my others chuubas playthrough exposure to a minimum till then. Suffering.
Based. I hope Fauna or Kronii play it. Ina’s Elden Ring play through is top tier though.
god vtuber gays are so gay
She gets tons of help from her simps who tell her how to beat the bosses
Is there a way to turn off the soft lock-on? I thought it was too easy when the game is aiming for you.
once you get arena stuff you can do some matches to buy an extension that enables full manual aiming
Thanks mate.
So there is no reason to get rid of the laser melee attack right? It's been way too useful to switch out
It's a good idea to have something to punish staggers, though laser blades aren't the only kind of melee weapons available
Alternatively you could also ignore staggers and go for pure DPS
Honestly so far it seems better to tailor the AC to the mission, there isn't a do-it-all-perfectly setup so people who lack critical thinking and the ability to adapt will struggle with this game
Normalgays are fricking shocking bad at action games, the highest level of complexity they're able to handle is like Zelda or Souls. Every seen a normalgay try to play DMC or NG? It's like watching somebody play an FPS for the first time, they're completely disoriented with no idea what they're doing so they'll just button mash
>they're able to handle is like Zelda or Souls
They can't even do that. I seen people unironically believe OoT is a hard game on here.
i watched my brother shit on the first boss first try
its literally just fake gamers losing
ie soulstrannies.
Steamies are bad at video games
How the frick am I supposed to beat Ornstein and Smough with anything but a build designed to counter this duo fight? The sniper has more damage than any weapon at this point in the game and the melee has a rushdown three hit combo, there's literally no parity whatsoever and they take zero damage unless I swap off fun weapons and just spam impact at them. Weapons really need a pass, this is like launch VD all over again where half the categories are going to be useless because of the generational gimmick.
nevermind, CHADzooka buckbreaks all
It seriously does kind of kill the old AC fun though that you are statted out of being able to skill through with any weapons, like I'm pretty sure double rifles will run out of ammo before you're even through some of the midgame AC bosses, who start healing like you do
It's just the sim part of AC that you have to multiply the ammo count of a weapon by its damage and think if you actually have enough total firepower to kill tanky stuff
Jousting builds that overboost to make sure that bazooka or plasma cannon hits have often been a viable strategy.
Had to punch the fricker before Chapter 1 boss to death. It worked.
Does it run well? Is it buggy?
running perfect on my 980gtx and I'm not seeing any talk of bugs, I guess any toaster can run it
Woah, are we talking about a From game? I wanted to find a reason to wait it out but I guess I'll get it.
Yeah it's really weird. It's extremely well optimized, I'm averaging 90 fps on a 5600XT. The only time the framerate really dropped was when the crawler early on drops after you shoot out its leg.
This made look up the requirements on Steam and wow, not something I expect to see in 2023 for a big release. I'm not complaining mind you, I'm beyond tired of AAA games pushing for ultra fidelity graphics and needing top specs to run decently.
It doesn't look bad either! The only really bad looking part was jumping off the crawler where the ground texture work was hilariously bad. Everything else has been functional at the worst.
I feel like modern game developers push up graphic requirements because they DON'T OPTIMIZE SHIT. Literally pouring their development code onto your machine instead of packaging it all the lazy fricks.
Oh yes there is that, it's definitely a recurrent problem.
PC players now make up a huge chunk of From's playerbase so it makes sense to target PS4 and lower end machines.
Not that I mind, I think AC6 looks great and there honestly shouldn't be more detail in the environment because there's tons of projectile shit flying on the screen constantly.
BG3 is the troony game you fricking homosexual it has actual trannies in it
>this is the fight that filter millions
wooooooooooooow how was i supposed to know you start off with a laser sword
>every other enemy up to that point dies in a few shots
>it's actually faster to kill enemies just by shooting at them compared to the long wind-up of the sword
I don't blame people for thinking the sword is like a knife in an FPS, just an emergency weapon if somebody comes close to you or you run out of bullets.
I would, literally try every combination in any game to kill the enemy and then eventually figure out a play style on the first level. It's not hard yet people fail to do it all the fricking time, then proceed with something like multiplayer and get their ass handed to them by shit like not realizing before you step around a corner your foot hits a floorboard for example.
Wait is that the fight that everyone is getting filtered on?
I just killed the autonomous million rockets hover guy and he was pretty challenging until I just brute forced him with big ass railguns and dual trigger. That was the first big filter fight imo
I got a lucky run where I dunked all over him with an endless barrage of perfectly charged railguns too, plus shoulder mounted laser cannons when he was staggered. He got stunlocked so hard that he was at 20% by the time he started his second phase. Love the charged shit, but it hurts my hands having to hold all 4 triggers all the time.
>shoulder mounted laser cannons
lol yeah those were the ones I used too. couldn't get close, couldn't get too far, just gotta stay perfectly at mid range and dodge everything while you stagger and charge ur laz0r to DPS
the charged shit is great. I'm playing on kbm though so I just bound them to my mouse. it works good
>so I just bound them to my mouse
how do you charge all 4?
left and right mouse for hand weapons, 1 and 2 for shoulders.
I have a g600 so I just fat finger a couple buttons with my thumb
you have no heals left and you had half hp dont act like you weren't shitting your pants the whole time after 6 hours of dying to him.
my only problem with this is boss is that it likes going out of the mission area and i cant hit it with melee
the boss movement is dependent on the player. it only goes out of bounds if you are a coward and hug the map edges.
My brother got filtered by the heli
Hes only played elden ring
>check mission replays for hunting licenses
>Grid 083 pending
>replay level
>find a pretty well hidden AC and deal with it
>surely that was it, finish level
>hunting license: pending
MOTHERFRICKER how many of these fricks are there I don't wanna do this fricking level again
You can always just cheat and look up a guide if you're too much of a b***h to just do it yourself.
Hey, how did you get to that AC? I've been staring at this fricker and the chest next to him through the floor but no matter what part of the level I go to I can't seem to find a route to that butthole.
See the spout the lava is coming out of? See the spout opposite of that? Bout the size of an AC isn't it
Yeah my dumb ass tried this like a minute after making that post, it's funny because I was sitting there staring at the lava spout, since that one has an intel in it that I'd found on a previous attempt, thinking it's damn shame there weren't any other lava filled pipes around.
Can i run it nicely on a 1070?
yeah
t. 970gtx and running great
Am I doing something wrong or is the spider boss just that tanky?
Try using projectile weapons. I had the same issue, then I realized he was taking maybe half the damage he should from my energy rifle. Once I started piledrivering him every time I broke his stance it got easier.
I am doing much better now that I switched to dual shotguns. The only problem now is the second phase.
>piledrivering him
I was afraid this might be the solution. I don't have one but I also don't want to leave, buy one, and have to do the orbital laser bit again so I will just try to make do.
>was running bazooka + laser blade
well that's fricking annoying but it makes sense i guess, I feel like they should give you some kind of indicator for when enemies resist a type of damage because otherwise it's just banging your head against 3 different kinds of walls and seeing what works best
wait what over fromsoft game revolves around breaking stance bars?
ESL
imagine playing this slop and then tryna flex about muh filterd.
kys whitoid
10/10 game
super fun i love it so much
it looks so cool! hopefuly ill get to play tomorrow.
AHHHHHHH, i didn't get preorder bonus shieeeet
I wish I could have an auxiliary sword to switch to just in case, but mainly use two guns. Like in DxM.
You can
Well, then I'm just too early and complaining about nothing.
Once you unlock the arena you can start buying OS upgrades, one of them is a hangar upgrade. It takes up one of your back slots.
That's really my only complaint about the game, it unlocks stuff too piecemeal and over time. I get it's probably to not overwelm newcomers, but still.
It is kind of stupid that they hide basic controls like manual purging behind the OS chips, but iirc that's also where you pick up the ability to slot arm weapons into your back slots. Just keep at it and you'll be able to run double rifles, but your reserve blade always has to be on the left unfortunately.
People who play video games now literally can't handle anything that doesn't control like a Souls game or standard third/first-person shooter, this game also makes the AC controls more similar to Souls, which makes all the filtering even more embarrassing.
God I hate how homogenized game design has become.
this but the proliferation of wasd controls in the 90s
BALTEUS is making me a lot angrier than any Souls boss I've fought.
totally different exp for me. even though he was fricking me up for 50 mins I never got annoyed during the fight. meanwhile i'd say I got pissed at like 50% of elden ring bosses.
What does aim assist even do?
I can't tell the difference.
It seems to have been gutted before release, probably after all the backlash when it was first shown to let an AC basically keep lock while crossing over an enemy. Right now it's an aim debuff for a little bit of extra help pointing the camera around that will just shut itself off at random. Unironically it is not worth your time even if you think you need the help, you're better served just doing your best with the base aiming mechanism.
NTA but I bought this game because of how smooth aim assist made the game look in the promotional material, in game it isn't like that at all so I refunded.
kwab
You should upgrade your fcs, there's a close quarters one pretty early on that's basically perfect as long as you can keep the enemy on screen
>that will just shut itself off at random
i noticed this, what the absolute frick why
i'm at Nexus with my AC series playthrough and really want to play 6 but i'm afraid the qol changes will spoil the rest for me
Soulstrannies aren’t good at video games. News at 11.
Why do homosexuals keep comparing a mecha game to action adventure game?
It's like comparing Metal Gear to Silent Hill because they were both made by Konami.
It's probably trolling, but it's so stupid, I can believe some people actually mean it.
it starts off as obvious bait and then the zoomies copy it to fit in and Ganker becomes just a bit more unusable
So is something like
what you are talking about?
Because it really is just... kinda stupid. It makes me question the poster's intelligence.
>soulsbab normalgays have trouble adapting to combat that doesn't feature iframes
lmao incredible, dark souls has ruined an entire generation
>just met Ayre
don't tell me the plot is gonna literally be Eureka 7
I beat the game, what's the rundown of Eureka 7?
I got Eureka 7 vibes too
Coral magic hivemind brainsoup, surfcore beach cruiser mecha punks and waifus
>Coral magic hivemind brainsoup
The ending I got shows it to be symbiosis like Spiderman 3
the seaspider was a b***h but i finally took it out with dual shotty and dual bazooka build
I still don't understand how people got filtered by the Chopper.
I died the first time because i didn't have all Healing.
But afterwards all i had to do was just keep firing my weapons at all times while dashing around to avoid the missiles.
Using the buildings as cover as i saw fit and whenever it staggered i just Assault Jumped into it with the Sword for massive damage.
I beat it second try. If you can't beat that boss, you should just genuinely quit playing videogames.
Balteus is kicking my shit in
I've been fighting him for the last three hours
I fricking hate him
Plasma pistol + beam blade for hands with two vertical missile shoulder weapons made the fight a cakewalk
Yeah vertical missiles are basically free damage and have a frickton of ammo for seemingly no reason.
use the tank wheels, dual plasma missiles, pulse sword and microwave gun, you will still want to avoid his singular big missile and fire slash but otherwise whenever he starts jizzing missiles you can just boost through them before they start flying at you and melee him
A bit late at this point, but thanks for the advice. I am someone who stubbornly refuses to change his loadout unless I am absolutely forced to. I eventually decided to go
>Assault Boost + Pulse Gun
>Kick
>Expansion to break his shield
>Pulse sword x2 + Missiles while charging up big gun on the back
>Shoot him with the big gun
>Assault boost + Kick + Missiles + Sword to stagger him
>Repeat for phase 2
I could consistently get phase 1 down in ~20 seconds
It’s mostly just streamers and shazamtrannies. Everyone else is better at video games.
I got build filtered by the ball fricker. I shouldn't have been so stubborn about adjusting my build. Was way easier after I changed it and I took him out first try. It's a surprisingly tricky game that asks a lot of lot of the player. I still find myself trying to do things you could in FA and getting my ass handed to me because of it
>read a book or some slow, boring shit for slow, boring people like yourself
Entertainment media has not made and will never make you more interesting than, or physically/intellectually superior to, the average person. Please divest yourself of this delusion at once. Being able to click buttons fast isn't a personality
Got in on the second try. I figured it's very easy to lead it around cover and also started using lock on lol
The game is extremely "ok". Its not bad but not good.
I had heard before I started playing that people were getting filtered by the first boss. After I played for a bit I assumed everyone was talking about the landwalker or the juggernaut and that they had just come up with some weird reason not to count previous bosses.
How do people actually struggle with the helicopter? You just shoot it until it dies, and jump when it shoots rockets. Also sword when it's close obviously.
i dont like how boss focused the game is. it would be fine if the bosses were other ACs but these giant robot monsters with magnetic attacks and bloated health pools aren't really that fun. i just beat sea spider and i dont feel fulfillment.
SoulsBlack folk getting exposed in broad daylight, you love to see it.
Rate.
stunning/brave
12yo
all black is gross. use some more red and white
agree, get some white highlights and trim in there
Next you're telling me to add pink and cyan.
No.
this is why you have no friends.
I's rather have a cool mecha and no friends than friends and gay mecha.
Would it be possible to create the SS camo pattern?
Funniest Ganker poster atm.
Good start, more red and white
israelite slayer
israelite Killer
The decentralized banker
This game is extremely easy. If you did to the helicopter at all you're a casual. The game literally shows you to use your sword.
COME, MECHIRO.
HESITATION IS DEFEAT.
You may not like it but this is what peak mech looks like
>play a mech game
>build a tank
what's the point
Winning.
Its also the strongest, tank once again wins.
I don't see how it can be the strongest when it can't fly worth shit.
Tetrapod is better.
Design looks sweet, the best part of AC has always been abandoning bipedal for efficiency.
I'm using this same build but with the smaller wheelchair tank legs.
i fricking hate the way the tank legs control on the ground
The real filter boss is that missile bullet hell homosexual. Can't wait to hear about the tears over that fight tomorrow.
I beat him with a reverse joint 8k AP build.
Not my fault, it took me a bit to get how 6's controls and stun works before I could beat it.
Though I feel like my rifle didn't do much, my main strategy was to just OB and charged laser blade
Is there any hidden part in the first mission? I forgot you have that shit in the game, don't wanna do it again just to check if there are parts.
Wait they brought back hidden parts?
Ah frick me
Yep. Gotta scan everything. I don't even know how it works, if you just automatically pick it up when you're close or if you need to interact with it with triangle.
bro since when AC is this fricking hard
Some duels vs other ACs turned your ass inside out on a regular basis.
The quadrupedal mech in some side mission is harder than the chopper tbh
Controller or K+M?
Controller duh. Third person shooter with lock on.
K+M for speed
using the directional booster is kinda uncomfortable with kb+m
I would say controller but holy frick the dead zone for aiming is fricking HUGE and I can't figure out how to change it
The game is boring.
No, I'm not being filtered, I've finished 3 bosses so far and I feel like I've seen everything the game is going to offer. It'll be the same shit over and over for the next 20/30 hours:
>hit difficult boss/mission
>grind shittier missions
>change AC and tactics
>beat boss
That's it, it's not doing anything interesting.
This comment is illogical.
You are describing interesting things and saying the game is not interesting.
Literally just described most action games.
That's why you adjust the game to your skill level, I can't imagine playing on anything less than the hardest difficulty, also seeing people who die all the time make me laugh as well.
>I'm not being filtered
>I just hate the prospect of facing a challenge and needing to adapt
>in a game all about customising your mech
Exactly what were you expecting here?
how does someone type all this out and not realize how stupid they sound? The pic makes it even more cringe
literally filtered lmao, back to animal crossing you go
Its not really visually appealing to me and no, i dont mean graphics. It feels more like driving a rocket than a human shaped robot.
is it better on keyboard and mouse or controller?
Seems pretty good, i'm down for a good and hard time.
Any rich ACbros willing to gift a game for a fellow mecha fan poorgay? I'll kill this hard stupid helicopter you guys keep talking in your name.
Are all Armor Core games as shit and boring as this one?
I beat it on my second try, never played AC before. I just used the sword a lot on mr chopper
>Seriously anyone who can't get past the first level of this shit: Stop playing video games.
This is the actual loser's mentality. I have more respect for someone that lost to the tutorial boss 100 times but eventually won and continued playing the game than someone that lost to the tutorial boss 3 times and decided to refund it.
it's a video game
And?
i refunded after 3 tries against the tutorial boss
beating it wouldnt change anything because i would have refunded afterwards anyways
i just dont like the feel of it
im glad some people enjoy it but im not going to force myself to keep going if it isnt fun
>This is the actual loser's mentality. I have more respect for someone that lost to the tutorial boss 100 times but eventually won and continued playing the game than someone that lost to the tutorial boss 3 times and decided to refund it.
I dont, you're a full on shitter. I made the first boss my b***h instantly and anyone who lost even once needs to quit right now.
>Ganker says a game is hard
>play it
>it's not hard at all
How is Ganker any different from Reddit or Twitter at this point?
4cucks has been reddit lite for nearly a decade now. its even worse than it used to be
Post ACs
Am i the only kinda got bored of it already? Like the combat is all about spamming heavy artillery or getting close to deal melee damage. There is like almost no flow to the combat because its entirely all about strafing left and right for the most part. What i mean is there is no weight to it or any incentive to do anything else which gets boring after a few hours. That is how i felt with DS3 and ER too.
Is the sword too good?
only if you can get in close and not get punished
dual trigger master race
eh
everything falls of when you hit the SPIDER
i supect MOONLIGHT is insane but
That spider was tankier than the next several bosses. When I spammed plasma rifle and my Grenade cannon into him while he was staggered and his health bar hardly moved I knew it was going to be a hell of a fight
It's floaty. If you miscalculate, you can get two-tapped in later fights. High risk, moderate reward.
The pause in movement it causes on both startup and recovery is really bad in situations where you need to keep moving
some enemies will gape you in one or two shots if you dive in and whiff it
Is it fine to start diving into the AC franchise with this game?
Also, how's the OST? Does it have cool music to listen to while blasting shit away?
Yeah, most continuities only last a few games
this a fesh timeline. They all playsome what differently
For Answers is normally the fan favorite since it has the FASTEST gameplay
It's good atmospheric music, but don't expect one to stand out except maybe Steel Haze.
Starting to get really worried that I'm at B rank and all the ACs so far are using body parts that I already have access to.
I died to the helicopter 3 times 🙁
Same. Balteus filtered me. I'm a huge armored core fan, but I was never good at souls boss fights (usually played it in co-op). Since you can't summon people it was only a matter of time before I got filtered.
It is what it is. Just a game, but not for me.
I died four times.
I blame the invisible wall. Frick invisible walls.
That's just all Fromsoft games.
Is there a "morality" system or some shit in this game? Should I be more selective on my missions? Cuz it feels like I'm going on the "bad guys route" so far
I beat the game, and I got put in NG+ after the end credits.
If you want a different ending, you're going to have to make the right choices or else you're screwed
>If you want a different ending, you're going to have to make the right choices or else you're screwed
qrd?
Carl
Darin Tyrone
you can change it at any time later, just pick something
It took a few attempts for me, but I did get through it. The Juggernaut almost filtered me though. I just had to leave and grind some money for some other parts (two sets of vertical missiles did the trick).
this shows there is a serious lack of imagination among gamers. AC actually requires you to be creative on some level to find full enjoyment, its too different from what theyre used to at the moment. it isnt the proven commodity in gaming circles yet like other franchises, and people don't know what to make of it.
I feel like it's moreso of a fear of "not playing right". The game rewards you for using the right damage type (Explosives for stagger, Physical for damage, Laser for shields), but then you have stuff like
where if you don't use the least amount of ammo in one run or you use an ineffective weapon to kill with, you're a shitter.
Looks like a PS3 game at the start of the generation
Had to fight the 1st boss four times. One of those didn't count because I died due to my PC suddenly launching me to key stickies. Thus I died only 3 instead of four times but I did get the bastard.
>I died due to my PC suddenly launching me to key stickies.
kek windows problems
when I still used windows I disabled that immediately after every install
also if you ever move to windows 11 good luck disabling winkey + numpad, shit is moronic and loads up applications on your taskbar
Frick man. That's nasty.
The lack of overall system control made me move to linux. It might be held together by duct tape and bubble gum, but it's my fricking duct tape and bubble gum.
>"upgrade" to the first new beam sword which is supposedly better than the starter one
>it has extremely high lag between slashes and leaves you vulnerable for far longer after use
What a waste of money
really? I like it because it has a better charge attack and obviously has more damage per swing, if you read the stats it'd mention that the first one has consecutive attacks but the second one doesn't
It's charge attack and swing have stupid range. Very good at catching zippy dudes for more damage than the regular sword.
>How did ANYONE get filtered by this shit?
from slurpers don't play video games
>game journos and soulsgays when armored core plays like armored core 1-5
What's the verdict on this thing? Is the PC port any good? Will I enjoy it if I hate Dark Souls and all "soulslikes"?
>Will I enjoy it if I hate Dark Souls and all "soulslikes"?
How the frick should we know? They're different games and I have no fricking idea what you dislike about souls games
pc port good. im using a mid tier gpu amd 5500 chip and its smooth
>Will I enjoy it if I hate Dark Souls and all "soulslikes"?
Considering that you have terminally shit taste, probably not.
It is literally in all respects nothing at all like a Souls game.
PC Port is good. There's someone playing in here with a rtx 970. Playable on Deck too.
It's not the souls series. It's pure AC.
is this shit armored core? All the footage Ive seen just looks like Armored Core mixed with Dark Souls
the gameplay is closer to bloodborne/sekiro than armored core
>equip double missile batteries
>win
Seriously they give you way too much ammo for this shit.
>People try to play X as a souls game and get filtered
Is there some moron homosexual beam out there causing buttholes to say this for literally every game that is ever released? Fricking hell.
I just started it and I beat the gigacopter on my 3rd attempt. I think anons just think a game where you have to try again and learn how to play is too much.
The trick is to play it like touhou.
Where's my 3D 2hu game?
I DID IT I BEAT BALTEUS WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
For me, it's double energy blade and retro booster with melee boost.
Melee attack -> recovery cancel with dash -> switch to second melee -> melee attack -> recovery cancel -> switch to first melee which should finish recharging at this point -> repeat.
You are just flying around like sonic doing crazy dmg.
I also added shotgun and pistol, just for extra dmg when you need to disengage and poke.
>retro booster
>recovery cancel
?
>retro booster
Pic related.
>recovery cancel
You can't switch weapons right after attacking, you need to cancel the recovery animation first by dashing.
Love ya thanks
I gave the double blades a shot and it's pretty fun, thanks for the heads up, I'm only on chapter 2 but if there's another blade with consecutive attacks, I'd definitely run that along with the starter and just blade nonstop
You can't really make AC4-ish ACs, there are reverse joints that make you jump faster and make you more unpredictable and quadlegs that let you hover in the air, but you can't go at 1 million miles per second anymore (and honestly I'm not sure why you want that again)
It's so weird that I lost to Balteus so many times but wasn't nearly as upset as in other games, it just felt like 'welp, time to try a different strategy/loadout)'. Being able to reassemble my AC while reloading a checkpoint is probably cheesy but then again it beats redoing the the mission over and over just to try something new
Can I make White Glint with infinite energy and just fly however long I want to in this one?
The old enemy, Shitty Hitboxes, is in.
Frick bulldozer.
Never played AC games before so gonna pirate it before buying
Anyone have an issue with plugging in a DS4 on PC and the buttons on screen staying to PC keys? How fix?
Use steam big picture mode.
There's a menu option to change the on-screen prompts from M+KB to Gamepad
you have to manually change the display in the input settings
Never played an AC (not a zoomer just didn't want to). Controller or KB?
Controller.
Ight imma try both and choose what I like.
KB
MKB feels so damn good.
This game is way harder for me than Sekiro. Even the lightest mech I can make feels so janky and clunky, I don't like the combat movement at all. I refunded cause it's just not for me.
you unlock more parts though, the limited selection at the start means you can't make insanely fast mechs yet
remind me why balteus can fly around the arena at light speed, chuck a shitton of missiles at you, throw out a random bazooka AND still have a fricking machinegun and shotgun when you try to get close?
you'd think a boss like this would be weak when you close the gap but no, you have to deal with his shield while hoping he doesnt shotgun or machinegun you to the face
The bazooka was getting me. He'd land direct hits (which resulted in stuns) despite my chaotic movements - while I was airborne.
that bazooka sometimes comes out of nowhere, too
no warning sound or the red box indicator and he just straight up hits you with it in melee, its very inconsistent
Oh, he has a bazooka AND a shotgun attack that does insanely high stagger damage. The latter doesn't have a warning sign, but it's always done at the end of other attacks.
its an experimental MT
I beat Balteus by burning through his shields quickly with dual wielded pulse guns and used the starter blade (better than the second blade for this fight since it sticks better to Balteus and can instantly punish staggers), along with a missile launcher for a bit extra more impact accumulation after the shield's down
The bazooka is a big issue so staying off the ground is key, moving directly under or above him worked for me as it made him not use the bazooka much and I could use the blade twice if I was below him. Once the second phase started with the melee attacks, I stayed above him as much as possible to make him whiff. Main strat was keep him downed as often as possible by getting his shield down and meleeing him
But breaking the shield staggers him?
I thini what confuses people is
>normal combat
>slow and strategic, conserving resources
>boss fights
>Dark Souls + Zone of The Enders
Look at this shit anon. Went to my local vidya store and the dude told me I was smart to preorder because all their non preorder copies were sold out. Can you guess why?
Shit I forgot the pic.
Am sure some had problems but really this all comes off as ACgays trying atroturf a "oooh so hard, this is only for real gamers".
died twice before I realised they just wanted me to charge headfirst and spam melee, guess you just did that first try op
>break balteus' shields
>he's not actually staggered
???
Do you rike it?
No one likes badly designed boss fights
Just beat the sea spider on my third go after the cleaner stomped my teeth in the curb for some reason
How to avoid 95% of Baleus' tracking missiles? They whip around after I avoid them and hit me anyway.
I beat him when I discovered that when the rocket spam comes it's best to just boost forward towards him
You don't. Most you can do is get glancing hits.
I sometimes get to break his shield and he somehow still gets to shoot his bazooka or shotgun. Its very annoying
From really should've released an AC collection before 6 just so people would at least know what they would get themselves in. But instead they went in the dishonest way and used the elden ring hype and goodwill to lure in morons. But at the same time people should really check out shit before they buy.
T. Soulsgay lured in solely because its from soft and I'm having massive amounts of fun
i think he was talking about all the tards in steam reviews crying they cant get past first level
Yeah exactly. What I'm wondering though is if from trusted ac6 to generate hype by itself or if they counted on the ER/souls popularity which I'm sure they did to some extent. The key aspect is that usually when a studio comes back to an older franchise to attract new players, they spend the time to have introductory guides and all that kind of basic moron proof stuff so scrubs don't get lost too much. But here, unless I'm wrong, they didn't really do anything like that.
When Demon's Souls and Dark Souls came out, they didn't do any of that. We're just going through the same thing as AC gets into the eyes of the normalgays.
Yes, they are simply butthurt for being bad at videogames. Theres no way they could had bought into something completely new to them and found out it wasnt for them.
Anyone have a link to the OST?
I keep running out of ammo while fighting Balteus and I'm left with two repairs and at that point he's left with 20% hp
honestly running out of ammo first before using up 2 repairs is impressive, but I recommend the pulse guns, they do much more damage to the shield
yeah, I switched to them and they burn through the shield but I'm not used to the range + slow projectile speed so I'm also burning through my own ammo. It's a fun boss to be fair
alright are there any noob traps here with the parts?
like what is something that seems good lookin at it with a reptile brain like seeing blue stats?
i got to the dam mission last night and had to stop playing because i was about to go to urgent care for a dog bite from my hodunk neighbors but they were closed so i had to get up early
you can just sell everything back for 100% the cost, including Allmind's pity parts from training.
Allmind spoonfeeding you right away makes me think it knows you're a phony but doesn't care because EAT MY BEAUTIFUL BABY BIRD, EAT
if you could read you would know that nobody is getting filtered by the tutorial boss but the actual boss
>tfw finished the game
can't believe I'm in the presence of casuals still stuck on the 2nd boss
Go back and make webms to dab on them.
How long until I get my chainsaw?
>Boost through missile spam
>Balteus shotguns me to the face as I come through
>Stunned
>Missiles all turn around and hit me in the back, the entire fricking battery
>Happens twice in a row
Frick this shit.
>use up all your EN to dodge his missiles
>he bazookas you in the face
If this were another game, dodging a boss's bullet hell homosexualry nets you free hits
so is it just gonna be pop in a mission, do random objective in under 5 minutes, can repeat, and have random final mission of a chapter thats a boss?
i mean its tight but seems like replayin missions is going to be very much the thing to do if you're stuck and need different parts
Are Melander the pre-order parts?
I don't want to use them from the get go
>having a really good attempt at balteus
>get him down to 10%
>oh yeah this is gonna be the time I win
>run out of ammo
>shields go back up
=_=
E-celebs labeling this as a "mecha dark souls" is the worst favour they could have done to the franchise.
Game is easy and bland af
>Have trouble beating boss with x damage type
>Exit and switch to weaponry with the boss' counter
Is this normal?
That's the whole series, adapt your mech to the kind of situation you face
yes
I try to have at least one kind of answer for most situations, which is fairly easy with 4 slots. energy blade for energy damage, missiles for kinetic explosions, whatever main hand weapon seems right for the job, linear and laser rifles are pretty good so far.
Honestly the starting loadout is surprisingly viable for a good while, I always hated assault rifles in these games but they made it feel good. You can definitely feel the Sekiro in the sound design and impact.
Yes
Stop falling into the soulshit mentality of "If you didn't beat the fire boss with an unupgraded fire rapier and hit it 1000 times without getting hit you didn't beat the game". This games demands efficiency, and sometimes basic ass countering is the easiest method of doing so.
I really wish font size increase was a standard option. Games are become more and more ridiculous with how small the texts are.
Is the game any good?
Yes.
why
nice, what do you like about it, is it like dark souls
is it too hard?
>is it like dark souls
moronic question. It's Armored Core gameplay.
moronic answer. It looks like Dark Souls gameplay.
>parrot doesn't know what its talking about
many such cases
I'm playing it right now, moron. I've played all the Armored Core games and this one feels like a fricking Elden Ring clone compared to the other five fricking games in the franchise.. Go back zoom zoom.
Whatever you say, faker
Amazing counter-argument. Go back zoomer.
Five REAL games, moron.
???
>says the parrot
roru
rumao
there's way more than 5, secondary
You go into this game with that mindset and you'll get wrecked like everybody else.
>nice, what do you like about it, is it like dark souls
its a lot of fun designing mechs and testing them out. m&kb controls work very well with this game. I started playing with a dualshock but I game m&kb a try and its great
the design philosophy for the non-ac bosses is there but apart from that its an ac game.
I love how generators act so differently while being good at different things, I've been trying different booster/generator combos for a couple hours now
It's going to be harder for people who don't/can't adapt, if you like customizing to fit the situation it should be very fun for you
>is it too hard?
No, I wouldn't say so, but that depends on if you're willing to switch up your playstyle and equipment frequently as not every encounter will be beatable with the same gear
been playing 15 hours straight so yes
It's very fun, but it's not for everyone
we've been saying this before launch!
Some things need repeating apparently
extremely, but the game is for those that have intelligence and not for those that want to brute force through.
frickyoufrickyoufrickyou
great jawb
Do dual weapons become more manageable when you get assault kick? Losing the sword early on seems like a really bad idea when nothing can really match its damage output on staggered enemies, so you end up spending even more of your ammo
It's the weapon bay upgrade that makes it fine, you can keep a melee weapon stowed away for staggers and use dual wielded guns as a mainstay. Dual pistols are actually quite the AC/tetrapod killer if you can hit them hard during staggers, just try it out on the tetrapod in the training room
Just beat Balteus on my first try.
Why are people pretending this game is hard.
It's almost like different people use different builds and some weapons do very poorly against his shield.
The trick is double plasma launcher. Energy weapons shred him, everything else is hot garbage.
so if enemies use energy stuff counter it with energy?
Yes
if you didnt bring any plasma or pulse weaponry he is three times as tanky
Normalgays simply don't understand that versitility in AC is a meme. They pick whatever and play it like souls shit where you can i-Frame trough everything.
If you ever find a boss easy in AC6 it's literally just because you had the right build.
>reddit spacing
Low effort troll. Post loadout.
>props on the helo overlap one another
What the frick is this shit?
I'm just not going to switch
the loadout
yeah, i know
Gonna keep trying
until I win
even if it takes 20 times
I tried dual pistols and seemed fun but they ran out of ammo pretty fast
>story mission where a character gets mentioned
>you can fight them in another mission but you have to look for her
Does this affect the story or not?
I finally beat Balteus. I ran out of ammo when he was at 2% HP and had to hail mary and punch him to death, but I did it
i'm down for a good and hard time.
Any rich ACbros willing to gift a game for a fellow mecha fan poorgay? I'll kill this hard stupid helicopter you guys keep complaining about in your name.
i hope that head is in the game
I got filtered by how the game doesn't feel like Mecha at all. Disgusting soulsslop
The juggernaut is kind bad game design. It straight up filters anything that isn't built for speed since you literally can't get behind it otherwise. Not to mention that the hitbox is so bad the sword usually just wiffs.
This isn't the sort of game where you get to pick one build and stick with it. Git gud, lad.
Theres git gud in rock paper scissor
Choosing rock every time like a dense fricking fool is not the way to git gud at rock paper scissors.
I just stood on top of it and blasted it to death
Did people really get filtered by the helicopter in the tutorial mission?
i got until i realized i have repair kits
somehow missed that in the first parts of the level
I'm sorry but I like my sword and the curtis way too much to change them
Dual blades is actually really good
is the dual pistols actually good or is it a meme?
Pistols have pretty good stagger, so you could probably stagger an enemy fairly well like that.
Their direct hit bonus is basically nonexistent though, so you'd need shoulder weapons with good direct hit bonus to actually take advantage of the staggers the pistols would open up for you.
If you change your build, you are a prostitute. Simple as.
You stick with your build, through good times and bad, in sickness and in health.
Otherwise you didn't beat the game.
I'm not the only one who swapped assault boost and normal boost controls right? Assault boost on the stick buttons are too weird
No way would I do that. I use normal boost so much more frequently than assault boost and pushing the sick for something that requires millisecond precision to dodge salvos of missiles is just no.
normal boost is just a toggle though, you're probably thinking of quick boost
>people have finished the game in 15-20 hrs
>just started chapter 2 and already clocked in 11hrs just doing customizing and testing AC builds
Are they just rushing the game?
They are just good and dont need to part grind
Most likely, I'm doing the same with doing a lot of experimentation inbetween missions
where do I find the wrecker arms? found the other three parts but cant locate the last one.
so when do i find parts during missions? these frickin homosexuals lied to me
Keyboard or Controller???????????????
controller
WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?
When DS2 launched, there were posters spamming that Purtsuer is a "bullshit impossible boss" that was "clearly made with mandatory COOP in mind"
Ganker is on the same level as DSP
I'm one of 7% of people who have beaten chapter 2 on ps5. It's fricking hard. It's way beyond any armored core or souls game. It's sekiro tier. The boss fights (of which there are tons) remind me of a souls game. Not AC.
>He beat the copter thing after 7 tries
Confirmed better than Ganker. Reality is brutal.
>miniguns unlocked in the shop
My wallet is crying after every mission but I don't care when my FREEDOM erection is THIS turgid
I bought them and used them in an arena battle. you cant use them while boosting so I had to get rid of them.
>Yeah so I got tired of those coyotes being homosexuals in my territory, so I decided to launch a nuke at them. Can you help stop them from stopping the launch sequence?
Carla best girl holy christ
>tank legs with boost kick
>blade on left arm
>blade on back arm
>constantly chain melees back to back while staggering frequently
HOLY KINO
When the frick do you get back blades? I'm in chapter 3 and I can only use them on my left hand
OS upgrade
weapon bay upgrade
tanks have independent boosters but I could do the same with another leg part anyway
Now add melee boosters and become bamham sonic.
FromSoftware thinks most people would play it like a Souls game so they designed the tutorial boss like that, not knowing that people, even if they're new to the franchise, would naturally treat the battle like a normal long range mecha one.
>I just make shit up
Never post again, you piece of shit.
What is he making up?
His entire fricking post is moron headcanon.
Idk. It made sense to me. Lots of the bosses come off as souls like fights imo
Armored Souls? Love. Slop. Familiar. Miyazaki. I buy. I happy. Simple as.
Last Raven is still harder I'm afraid
>The sea spider is so much harder!
Who the frick said this, thing is a joke compared to missile Black person
the thing is it depends on what you brought to the fight so you're going to see a variety of opinions on a fight
I wish you people understood this
What the frick is this tarantula looking laser hellspawn
Remember to play on controller anons. MKB is a shit.
Welcome to 2023, gaming is mainstream now and not a schizo activity
really good
I AM THE EGG MAN
I'VE GOT THE MASTER PLAN
Nice.
Darn that's sexy.
Now Robotnik will definitively get that hedgehog.
>Beat the helicopter
>Beat the missile man
>Beat the sea spider
I still have absolutely no idea how I feel about the game. I feel like I should like it more and treat it like an FPS where you're just going to take damage and it's all a DPS race but holy shit taking even a small amount of damage spikes my blood pressure for absolutely no reason. Like, I can get shot to shit in a hero shooter and it's whatever, but I get unreasonably mad in this game. I think it's the stun disparity between the player and enemy AC's.
The problem is that it's a souls game. Bosses with redonkulous health bars were never a thing in armored core. At most you had to fight enemy ravens who had the same weapons/parts/abilities as you. It just feels like armored souls. Very disappointing. I also beat sea spider, but it was close.
>The problem is that it's a souls game.
Didn’t read the rest
Ever play another AC game? Gonna guess the answer is no.
I’ve played the entire series, and I’ve played 1, MoA, 3, Silent Line, Last Raven, and For Answer multiple times.
Souls did not invent boss fights with health bars.
>I've played them all
How many out of 15 had boss fights with stagger meters?
>How many out of 15 had boss fights with stagger meters?
Why does that matter? More involved boss fights are hardly the most radical change this series has seen to its gameplay.
Oh and the answer is V and Verdict Day, so there was already a precedent.
Ya
2/15 games had your soulsshit secondary. That's not armored core.
>two previous (the two most recent even) entries had this mechanic
>NOOOOOOOO THOSE DONT COUNT NOT MUH AC
Okay? Did you complain when Nexus added dual stick controls or 4 turned the series in DBZ? Because both of those are more significant than boss fights with stagger bars.
This is what bugs me so much about Ganker morons. A boss with a lot of health? DARK SOULS
First of all, nice goal post moving with the stagger but we had big enemies in all the games, like massive weapons
Secondly, stagger existed even before V by using high impact weapons, you could chain stagger enemy ravens. And there is nothing wrong with adding stagger to bosses, if you think AC6 wasn't allowed to innovate at least somewhere then you were never a fan of the series as each reboot always had something new.
It's not moving the goal posts if it was always my argument mouth breather.
>stagger always existed
It was called stability, mouth breather, and it didn't apply to bosses because there were none.
>not allowed to innovate
I just didn't want it to be a souls game. I like armored core games.
>It's not moving the goal posts if it was always my argument mouth breather.
All you whined about were big healthbars, you obviously have mental moronation
>all
WRONG
This is my problem with the game too.
The armoured core is only skin deep. After that it is the same dark souls formula we've seen for years and rides on getting the fromsoft LOLSOHARD crowd invested.
I'm not gonna say Armoured Core is dead but i will say it ain't what it use to be.
Agreed
Name an armored core game besides V and verdict with stagger bar boss fights that take 1000000 hits. I'll wait.
>but muh V
That's 2 games out of 15.
What do you define as Armored Core and what do you define as Souls. Because if the answer is “muh difficulty” 1) get good and 2) Last Raven is harder than any Souls game.
Mothefricker, 6 is harder than any souls game.
And 6 is about average difficulty for the series. I’d say Last Raven and V are harder
Last raven is harder for different reasons. V is balanced for co-op.
Not him but
>V is balanced for co-op
That actually explains a lot about V.
It sucks this game doesn't have co-op but the fights would definitely end up like the first half of the juggernaut fight.
Ya, it was ahead of its time unfortunately. Something like that would be great these days, but we got a soulslike AC instead imo, which is not surprising.
>The problem is that it's a souls game.
Wrong
>Bosses with redonkulous health bars were never a thing in armored core
Wrong
>At most you had to fight enemy ravens who had the same weapons/parts/abilities as you.
Wrong, and also sometimes they had enhanced abilities and you don't
>It just feels like armored souls
Because you didn't play armored core
>Wrong, and also sometimes they had enhanced abilities and you don't
And sometimes even pulled off maneuvers you would never be capable of doing.
yep. why do bosses have such high health pools? why is the shop so shallow without all the basic items?
this game was rushed
Nah, it was just soulsified.
maybe but something feels off. like theres no charm of the corporate warfare or civilians fighting against the corps in missions
I noticed you don't get briefed by suits when you get missions from the corporations.
You get briefed by a member of their ac strike team.
Also the rebels are really well armed. Lots of mech units, artillery pieces, giant robots (Stridder gets a pass for me considering it is just a repurposed mining machine)
>tfw getting blocked by the fricking Cleaner
Is there an easier way to get hits in? I've just been jumping over it and spamming my stuff into its weakspot on top.
The chimney isn't the weak spot, the control thing on the front side between the chainsaws is.
Oh God damn it. I thought that was just a different spot to hit it from.
You mean the mech with giant drill arms?
>Getting filtered by the Helicopter
Literally moron tier, should stop playing video games
>Getting filtered by BALTEUS
Understandable
>filtered by balteus
moron tier. Easiest boss. Just kidding, but it's a seriously hard game. Easily the hardest AC by far. Had to appeal to vati vidya the rest of the souls crew.
Shoot the *mouth*. I beat him with the basic rifle, sword, and missle pod. Stay in front and pepper the mouth, and don't be afraid to use your sword when you have an opening. Most attacks can be hopped over vertically.
My biggest gripe besides the soulslike boss fights is that you can't buy and sell during missions meaning you'll have to play the whole thing again just try a new build against the soulsbots.
Baltaus or whatever its name is just fricking sucks to fight.
The missles turning on a dime and not taking splash from it's own bazookas makes it tedious and annoying.
Also frick stagger. Yes mechs should stagger from taking too much damage too quickly but don't build the fricking game around it.
>get missile Black person down to 5% HP
>UH MOM SAID I GET TO WIN NOW
>instant kill flame sword horse shit
I'm going to find whoever designed this boss and slap them in the head until they stop breathing
Is enemies sitting out of bounds like that butthole common in this game?
REVERSE JOINS
OR
BIPEDALS
Only light biped. Otherwise, I prefer reverse joints or four legs.
On one hand the super jump on reverse joints is nice, on the other hand, the way they pop you into the air when you quick dash is not.
