it's just that good
It has the most single player content of any RTS (bar maybe AI war 1/2) and the concept of building a base with a large amount of buildings is an immediately appealing concept to casual players. The game also has a decent content creation scene for even more content.

(Played AoE2, 3, SC1, FA, & 2 but I don't remember enough to judge how their mass compares.)

it's probably a DLC like the last few (everyone can play as rome in your games but you have to buy it to play it yourself)
Should just make this a whole different game and expand on it after Medieval AoE2 gets its last civ

Im gonna. My pc cant run the game, (only the original ofc) so Im going to play it in console.
Add a new UI/keybinds for controller and an option to plug in M&K. I think it's stupid for developers to skip out on releasing games that are PC centric when they could just make a disclaimer or have users agree to purchase a game only if they can plug in a M&K. It's practically free money.
How do you get over the AI being really stupid and never attacking?
there are commands you can give to the ai, its in the chat menu
