I like the gameplay, and tell everyone to avoid it despite this, everything around the gameplay has ruined this game, be it its lack of content and item mechanics, to its performance and connectivity. I was a fool to have ever had hope that they would actually stick to their "ongoing story" model, If forgot how bad VT2 was at launch and the game it is now took years to achieve and it will be really funny when the next update just rotates the cash shop. What a wasted opportunity
I always say people who buy this game should be force to move to sweden live in one there far left migrant citys and get on there knees and suck migrant wiener.
you guys who gave this swedish company mpney deserve be ass pounded in sweden outside Fatshark headquarters by 6 ORCs
Couldn't refund because it takes 20-30 minutes to connect and crashes after 15 minutes of gameplay.
When I finally finished the tutorial and tried connecting to an actual game I realized it's dogshit.
Some esl techie at steam refused my refund ticket because I had 3 hours playtime, so as far as I'm concerned they're in cahoots.
I will literally never purchase another video game ever again.
Here's hoping the entire industry fails within my lifetime.
it's a cash shop disguised as a game. Nothing went wrong, this is exactly what they planned, the only unexpected thing was public reaction to it.
These companies don't learn because they keep seeing you homosexuals buy fifa and spend 10 grand on fricking card packs every time, so they think they can get away with it too.
Thats being reductive, its worse than that. The game is going for a drip feed content model like Destiny or Warframe, the problem however is that there is so little content and they have done nothing but chase performance issues around the room since launch.
It is not a complete game, the new content is even in the datamine, but at this rate we will not see it any time soon. >4 classes already in the game >tons more cosmetic variety for the base game outfits, including items to actually go in the accessories slot >2 new maps >theres 2 new enemies, one of which is a fricking plague marine
But nah, just hold onto it for a few months. I dont even believe teh crafting is causing issues, they are holding onto it because if it was in the game at launch people wouldve been able to just make the best weapons in the game immediately, and not have to grind and wait for shop rotations, which keeps people playing. Frick live service models.
Happened in every other game that had it at launch, where they basically had their game loop "ruined" because the random stat and effect loot system was subverted by the ability to just pick the best weapon and put the best perks on it, where you are suppose to just make due with whatever you have and keep hanging around for the best weapon.
What would be interesting however, is if this ISNT what the crafting is, and I hope this is the case. Where its actually that you craft armour(there is tons in the game that arent attainable, you can see some in the character creation screens, and this could be how you get them), and these armours apply more perks and stats like the weapons. I think that would actually be kindof interesting, and thats why it wont be the case.
you know the crafting is listed as "unfinished" because two tabs are literally greyed out and we already know what they're gonna be, right? there's not gonna be any such thing as armor, what gave you that idea?
Wouldn't know, didn't pick it up because it looks kind of lame. 700+ hours in KF1 and 1200+ in KF2, both great games that had rocky starts. Turned out fine. No clue how bad it is this time around and probably never will know.
Wish they added more cheevs to KF2 before moving on....like they did with 1. Those last few months of KF1 were fricking awesome.
Honestly great gun play and combat. They completely fricked any sense of progression and the store systems, crafting, and trying to create a build are god rdv4pawful.
By wanting to make money, not game. Reskinned vermintide on different IP which have much larger fanbase = easy as frick money.
THEY PUT A FRICKING 100% WORKING SKINSHOP BEFORE EVERYTHING ELSE RIGHT ON A MAPTH TO MOST USED BLACKMARKET JUST TO BE IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES ALL THE TIME.
>forgot the shitshow of VT2 at launch >it was so bad that I stopped playing for over a year >came back and loved it >thought "They learned everything from Vermintide and it's sequel, they'll just port over the gameplay, add some 40k skins and it'll be great! All the work is already done, this'll be simple!" >Fewer classes than VT2 at launch >Fewer maps than VT2 at launch >Fewer items than VT2 at launch >all of the same problems as VT2 had at launch
I'm a fricking moron, use my frustration as an example. Don't make my mistake and trust the perfidious Swede,
>there can't be a next time
well there is
see you guys in 10 months when they've had time after finishing the console release to actually make enough content for the game (more classes, guns, DLC, etc) for the game to actually feel complete
i didn't even quite get 40 hours in before uninstalling
The real problem is that you know if they add more maps and classes, you're gonna have to fork out extra for them
And it's gonna be shit like 20 bucks for 2 maps
it's not even remotely funny, he makes it look like there's this huge cosmetic shop, the shop in Darktide is pathetically small and half-assed even compared to Vermintide. It's not fricking funny.
Do the same thing you always do. Play at launch till you run out of content. Come back after big patch. Game is fun. Just don't binge it. If you no life the game then that is on you.
>maps are so generic and non-descript that the devs actually just flipped maps around and called them different because they didn't expect people to notice. Their names are random strings of letters and numbers, making it impossible to associate any map with any particular map name >item progression system is literally the worst I've ever seen, further severely crippled by the lack of crafting options
The gunplay alone is some of the worst i’ve seen in a game, the powers at least of the psychic dude aren’t great from what i found, the loot isn’t good, the quests aren’t interesting, and the lore appears as nonsense to someone unfamiliar with the setting, it also has an unstable framerate for me and i’m running off a 2080s. It’s an honest to god mess and the worst game i played last year
As the other anon mentioned, Warhammer 3 gives full representation to Chaos with the 4 chaos gods, Undivided Chaos, Beastmen and Skaven. Pretty much the complete package.
I already have it. Good game, but it's dead now. Being Slaanesh fan sucks.
As the other anon mentioned, Warhammer 3 gives full representation to Chaos with the 4 chaos gods, Undivided Chaos, Beastmen and Skaven. Pretty much the complete package.
Damnation player. I've been playing Zealot and it just sucks compared to Veteran and Ogryn. Like, I don't feel powerful against normal enemies whereas my Vet and Ogryn can just shred through endless hordes with the bull butcher and power sword. Even with the eviscerator and thunder hammer, my Zealot just doesn't kill fast enough and the attack patterns of those weapons leaves you open to attacks and just isn't fun. And yes the flamer is great and all but without a bolter or an autogun I feel like I am not pulling my weight at all 90% of the map. And the special ability is completely underwhelming compared to Vet and Ogryn's too, I forget I have it half the time and the other half I cant use it because the Zealot can't really dive into a pack of enemies and survive like an Ogryn because no knockdown. The Zealot really needs something significant to be balance, and no nerfing the Power Sword to gimp Vet's melee does nothing to address the issues. Zealot is really disappointing as I just feel like a shitty Veteran in the end and actually pray we have one on the team to kill the Elites.
And I am not even going to attempt Psyker until they fix that class from what Ive seen. I curse when I see a Psyker on the loading screen, knowing I will have to carry them. I just leave mission if I see two.
>thunder hammer
Thunder Hammer is not a good weapon, although horde clearing isn't really its problem. And Eviscerator's horde clear, for some reason, sucks ass, at least without Savage Sweep. Fricking morons at Fartshart. Brutal Momentum Axes (which aren't great at horde clearing but overall feel good to use) and Headtaker Heavy Swords are the way to go. >And yes the flamer is great and all but without a bolter or an autogun I feel like I am not pulling my weight at all 90% of the map
? Killing ranged from the safety of cover isn't Zealot's job. The flamer deletes mixed hordes so everyone else can do theirs. But it does suck having flamer when your team is either mostly melee or just full of inbred morons that got carried through Heresy and though they were good enough for Damnation. >because the Zealot can't really dive into a pack of enemies and survive like an Ogryn because no knockdown
Only in rooms with lots of spread out shooters is this true. But if you get in on the ranged while they're clumped up or you're just against melee, it's fine. Unironically, "You need to duck more, kin," if the lack of stagger/knockdown is causing you to eat tons of damage in melee. Lots of spread ranged does suck ass though. Even if you spam dodge slides, you can't really avoid chip. >And the special ability is completely underwhelming compared to Vet and Ogryn's too
Zealot's charge is about as useful as Ogryn's for different purposes. Where Ogryn can stun, Zealot can regain toughness to avoid chip, and because of the way Zealot charge works with distance and targeting, it's easier to position yourself with it (although I've barely touched Ogryn, so maybe I'm just not using Ogryn's correctly). That said, it could be better. The one hit of guaranteed crit is pretty fricking nothingsauce.
>Killing ranged from the safety of cover isn't Zealot's job
When your playing with pubs it is. You got shitty Veterans with shit guns or who just want to melee the entire map with power sword and refuse to bring out their gun. I want very much to use the Flamer but experience has taught me that without a Bolter, some runs are going to suck and it is safer to bring one than not. >Even if you spam dodge slides, you can't really avoid chip.
My fingers hurt when I play my Zealot on any difficulty level from the dodge/slide spam. And my point is exactly that on my Ogryn and Vet I can pretty much avoid any damage by weight of sheer offense, even on Heresy+. >it's easier to position yourself with it
Yes this is pretty much all it is good for. EXCEPT you get knocked out the charge instantly by gunfire, can't be used at all against the trapper because you'll be netted instantly during the charge time, you will still take a tick of flame damage by the flamer and lose all your toughness, and you almost always miss that Elite you were aiming the charge towards when a poxwalker moves in front while you're charging and absorbed the critical hit. Other than that it is okay.
Basically, it isn't FUN to play a Zealot compared to Ogryn and Veteran.
>You got shitty Veterans with shit guns or who just want to melee the entire map with power sword
do you, by any chance, use the combat knife as a zealot?
>When your playing with pubs it is.
Sometimes very true. Hopefully it's different now, but when I was doing Damnation a few weeks ago, pubs were fricking terrible. Like, "stand in front of the descending elevator with no cover instead of moving 20 feet into the room where people get picked up" bad. >My fingers hurt when I play my Zealot on any difficulty level from the dodge/slide spam
Kek, yeah. Try macroing it with driver software if you can. I haven't, but I know others do. I do know that my DPI shift macro on RMB is broken since coming back to the game because god forbid people be able separate hipfire and ADS sens in a fricking shooting game. It's like I'm really back in the 00s. >Yes this is pretty much all it is good for.
I mean, not that it's amazing, but that is a pretty big thing when your ability to deal and avoid damage both hinge on your position. If you can use it to cross a 20 meter gap and get right into a shooter/gunner pack before they get the chance to spread out, that can be huge. >you get knocked out the charge instantly by gunfire Try it with Thy Wrath Be Swift. I might be misremembering since I haven't played much in the last few weeks, but I'm pretty sure the effect it gives of ignoring ranged slow/stagger affects the charge too 'cause I don't remember the last time I got staggered out of charge.If/when Fartshart removes that, I might just uninstall and come back in a year because the ranged stagger was the worst idea they could have had. This shit isn't VT2 with ratlings being specials. > you will still take a tick of flame damage by the flamer and lose all your toughness
Yeah, I'd suggest just running up to them normally and then sliding diagonally when they're about to shoot.
>Basically, it isn't FUN to play a Zealot
I get why you say that, but I personally disagree. I don't have nearly as much fun playing anything else. At least 200 hours of my 250 are on Zealot.
quick reminder that fatshart never fixed anything worthwhile in vt2 and they'll never fix anything with dt
they'll just release a bit of dlc content, idiots will buy it and be satisfied but the core problems will remain until next game where they'll frick everything up so bad people will be wishing for darktide back and the cycle will continue
The worst part is that the gameplay itself is great. It feels great, it sounds great, it looks good (only reason why I'm not saying great is because nurgle humans get a bit too repetitive after some point). Fundamentally it should be a great game, but the lack of content prevents that. Maybe they'll build up on the solid foundation and it'll become great at some point, but that'll take time and who knows how many players will be left by then.
I have 2k hours on vt2 and stopped playing dt after 100 hours
It's a complete downgrade on everything
game has more details yet it looks like shit and run like shit
4 boring classes vs 12 high fantasy talent trees
maps are all the same
no ENDGAME again
live service game but all the content is in the fricking store
worse loot system than fricking overwatch loot boxes
i dont even know why they wasted time with the story
I hate fatshark so much, they make blizzard look competent...
You absolutely cannot compare loot systems between this and OW1, that doesn't make any sense. OW loot boxes are cosmetics, Darktide cosmetics are shitty peacemeal rotation weekly shops that don't even change weekly anyway because they haven't updated the game in months by now.
And Blizzard will always be way more incompetent than Fatshart because of the disaster that is OW2.
>You absolutely cannot compare loot systems between this and OW1
you moronic Black person
ow1 loot boxes is the same system as vt2
frick off
in darktide you might get a chance to get something after completing a mission
in vt2 you always get loot after a successful mission
>Play beta >seems ok >play when game is about to release >same mission >people repeating the same "1 misison to level" >one day see the shop >"paid skins"
That was the cutting point where I refunded the game. If you are going to add that shit, at least do it in a good game.
Sorry but the new industry model is to ship broken products and then maybe get around to fixing things 3+ years later. Too many slop slurping morons who preorder and buy things on impulse.
By making everything into cash shop bullshit even tho you already paid for the game.
do you even know what can be bought through the cash shop?
Tencent forced their hand.
>Tencent forced their hand.
You're a fricking fool if you don't realize Fatshark was always this shitty
and everyone except me on this board still bought it lmao
just slap warhammer 40k on the title and 4chuds will eat it up
Hey don't lump me in with these morons!
>posts frog

There's your answer.

Same, I had my fun with it but since everything is set up for them to eventually go free to play I just tell people to wait for that.
fatshark was always a shit dev and those that played the preorder "beta" and didnt refund are moronic that got what the deserved
this

Most moronic playerbase of the decade. I'm surprised most people even managed to install the game.

im going to buy it and dlc for like $20 in 2 years when its a less trash game
at the rate the playerbase is dropping they'll shut the servers before then
Sweden
Okay we launched the game, what do we do now?
it was pretty obvious that it was going to be a mess

Released an unfinished game then unironically went on vacation for 3 months.
>unironically went on vacation for 3 months.
I almost admire the gall
this is why you should never buy big games like this if they release around december. I've seen this shit happen before.
>a 40k game being good after the mid 2000s
impossible
I wonder how many times it's going to take posting this to get you morons to stop buying western AAA dogshit
They don't make video games anymore.
What changed with B^Uckley? When did he start making decent jokes? I mean it's not fantastic but it's decent
>When did he start making decent jokes?
he didn't, this one is just a broken clock moment
it's not even remotely funny, he makes it look like there's this huge cosmetic shop, the shop in Darktide is pathetically small and half-assed even compared to Vermintide. It's not fricking funny.
The comic isnt specifically about darktide genius
he's right sometimes. doesn't mean he's funny or understands brevity.
Who cares? I'm just waiting for Space Marine 2.
>body type
>purposefully unglified females which the devs confirmed on the steam forums
These two things are enough for you to understand all that's needed to know about the company and why this game is a piece of shit. 🙂
the modern political bullshit has absolutely nothing to do with why fatshart is incompetent, they've been morons since 2008

Nurgle again?
yes
at least they added the beast of nurgle as a new boss monster. they should put it in vermintide.
I guess Slaanesh, Khorne, and Tzeentch just aren't real anymore. Has Slaanesh ever been in a video game before?
total warhammer 3 has all four
I already have it. Good game, but it's dead now. Being Slaanesh fan sucks.

They should have got me on board. If I had been there, with my miniatures? Things would never have gone down the way that they did.
>meta chasing, Mads? A noble technique. Unfortunately I may have brushed up on that strategy at the lost gathering
>don't look so cross Mr. Bond, the early bird always gets the worm
jej
>very good, Mads. How about we play a game of my choice now? First to find him wins after I flip this coin. I see him... do you?
vermintide literally selling better than their brand new game lol
>fartshark game
>is a rancid pile of shit
>morons STILL buy it
I have 2k hours on vt2 and stopped playing dt after 100 hours
I think the mobility in DT is a ton of fun, but otherwise, yeah. Even fricking blocking and block cancelling is worse. Typical Furtshurt.
>buying anything from swedes
remember wolfenstein new colosuss and payday 2. frick sweden frick swedes
>Play beta
>seems ok
>play when game is about to release
>same mission
>people repeating the same "1 misison to level"
>one day see the shop
>"paid skins"
That was the cutting point where I refunded the game. If you are going to add that shit, at least do it in a good game.
Sorry but the new industry model is to ship broken products and then maybe get around to fixing things 3+ years later. Too many slop slurping morons who preorder and buy things on impulse.
>Still no vat baby game
>Still no Siege of Vraks game
GW and fatshark can kiss my ass.
All they had to do was just copy drg, literally.
But fatshart can't even do that, dogshit company.
They did copy DRG. They copied DRG's mission select but ruined it in a moronic Swedish way.
You don't like waiting on an arbitrary timer to play your videogames? You're not disrespecting Sweden are you?
All a moment towards good health, you should be taking a 15 minute break every 1 hour from a game to stretch, walk, drink water.
>water
>not Gamer approved Mountain Dew
ngmi
>copers are going to get bamboozled
>AGAIN
By making the same boring game they've been making for almost a decade now, again. Except more israeli with less content. Good soundtrack though.
