How do I have fun in this game? I've been playing for 6 years and every day it just kills me inside. I never get any kills as any class and I constantly bottom score. I've watched guide videos, I've done MGE (And gotten consistently laughed at as I go 0/20, I've used tr_walkway, I've done everything! I just want to have fun and play the game but instead all I get to do is watch the respawn timer over and over. I'm having a mental breakdown man I just hate my fricking life!

That doesn't change the fact that I'm constantly dead, I can't get any kills no matter what I do. It seriously feels like my guns do zero damage even from a point blank meatshot.
This game is super easy though, are you trying to kill people with a medic or running into sentries or something?
It doesn't feel easy, literally everyone takes no damage from any of my weapons.
Are you playing at a low fps on an old pc or have a bad connection like wifi?
I refuse to believe you cant get a positive kd with ANY class, at the very least you can play engie, put the sentry in a good spot and go positive.
I'm using an ethernet connection being the only one in my house, my pc is roughly middle of the curve in terms of quality, runs the game at a stable 60fps. I don't know why I'm so fricking bad. My average ping is like 20.
The only other explanation is you just happen to be playing on servers with a lot of good players. When I played that game it was pretty easy to get the top 3rd of the scoreboard cause 1 out of 3 players are idiots.
Then it seems like every single match I join has god tier players because I'm always bottom of hte board, maybe second lowest if I'm lucky.
Most of those autists that play video games competitively actively train on a regular basis on tr_walkway and other specific maps, sometimes even with a group of friends. You don't get good by just playing the game unless you are trying to get some specific skills like game sense. Knowing what is happening in the match and where is a very VERY useful skill to have specially in this game.
A series of videos that really helped me understand player movement was the circle strafe tutorial by CulRulDud, it is a spy series but it is really useful to know regardless of class.
It could be hackers thought, I've seen some groups of hackers that don't use bots at all, just a bunch of irredeemable homosexuals joining a match all at once.
It's not like I want to be the best player in the world, I just want to get a couple kills for once, I want to have my strange weapons level up without me having to farm them on idle servers to make myself look anything but moronic. I just want to play the game but everyone I encounter is a fricking butthole tryhard.
I just use the default keyboard and mouse setup. Though I switched the keys for Inspect and Use Action Item so that it would be easier to use spells during Halloween.
Do you play on servers or matchmaking? Servers have a lot more of tryhard homosexuals.
I just join Casual. There aren't really any community servers that run anything I enjoy anyways.
2fort is a good map to score points on no matter your skill. if you haven't already try queuing up for it.
I mean 2fort is mostly what I play because I can't get games on the modes I like. I lose to everything there from gibus pyros to hoovys.
Scout does a lot of damage, if you're langing meat shots and not getting kills ur just bad
Soldier is easier class to get kills, literally aim at the feet
Pyro is the god tier at getting kills. Spam m2 at a soldier, hold m1, phlog, backburner, spam the scorch shot or what ever, axetinguisher
Demo man you just spam pills and stickies on point
Heavy, well uh, just get pocketed I guess....
Engineer you just build on the point and wait to get uber rushed
Sniper you just click head
Spy you just click backs
Medic you just pocket the unusuals and get the most points on the team
Pick a class and master him. Classes 1-5 are your combat classes. 6-7 are support. 8-9 are assassination/pick classes.
I've been playing Scout and Engineer for most of my time and I literally can never get kills with either of them. Not even my sentries hardly get kills most of the time. It's killing me inside.

Play medic or engineer and track up points through heals Uber's and sentry kills remember nothing except how much points you score matters kills are for homosexuals and deaths do not directly contribute to your enemy winning you can do more than just get kills.
I would like to do the killings rather than be the one getting killed over and over.
Use huntsman and just aim down corridors and in doorways frequented by the enemy team. EZ kills
Look up how to configure your Interp
Disable mouse accel
Get a config for better performance
Pick a single class and learn how to cover its shortcomings
Stop picking fights alone, learn game flow and start using teammates as resources
Learn strafe aiming
Memorize map pack locations and hold near them
Don't focus on K/D focus on area control, picks are cool but holding an area wins games
Start practicing threat assessment, I.E if they have a topscoring sniper start making note of where he hangs out/when he is alive and play around that
Learn how spawn waves work and start trying ot keep a mental timer of when a cluster of players will make it to an area.
