What the actual frick were they thinking with this shit. The most tedious waste of fricking time to have to do a god damn chore before you can actually fight the monster and play the game. There's a mod that spawns a max spiribird when you start a hunt and I installed it almost immediately.
I think they were planning to do something more open world / persistent and dynamic is all I can guess.
Because if you Free Hunt, and are gathering and also killing monsters for fun, Spiribirds make a lot of sense. You can combine exploring / gathering, get powered up, and go kill Monsters.
But in the context of Quests, especially in a game where you're playing for 15 minutes as most but may be as short as 3 minutes, it becomes tedious.
>a 100% optional stat buff that rewards moving between areas efficiently
Literally just don't grab them. They're bonuses to the base 150 HP and stats, absolutely not necessary by any metric and are just the equivalent of people who grinded mats in order to rely on Ancient Potions because they can't dodge.
I never really went full bar with them and just get whichever that I can on the way. To be fair I haven't reached Sunbreak maybe it's more important there.
FRICKING STOP COLLECTING THEM.
Youre already at max HP and stamina, they are bonus stats for shitters who need the help and to reward exploration for casuals. your health is the same as other games without them >The most tedious waste of fricking time to have to do a god damn chore before you can actually fight the monster and play the game
then dont >There's a mod that spawns a max spiribird when you start a hunt and I installed it almost immediately.
You downloaded a mod that gives you all the BONUS buffs instantly? just play the fricking game, shitter. you literally downloaded a mod that makes the game easeir
iv just been treating them as a bonus the whole game and have had no problem so far
He's pretty annoying; technically you can learn his patterns and shit, but I recommend just putting on the Defender gear (be sure to upgrade it fully).
You can also cheese him the way Greatsword players cheese most encounters: Use several traps, other CC inducing consumables.
I don't play Hammer but I assume the main problem is your abilities are too slow and/or you don't have the requisite good Silkbinds unlocked yet?
>Kill him in hub quest early >Village quest later be like "BROOO NO ONE EVER KILLS THIS MONSTER EVER IN 10000 YEARS BRO THE LEGENDARY MONSTER OF ANCIENT TIMES"
Too much dango made the villagers a bit moronic
It's just the difference between mainline games and handheld games. P3rd and X/XX did the same shit with Zinogre and the Fated Four.
Mainline is usually >some fricking shit is fricking shit up and we don't know what the frick that shit is go find out >you found out? Cool. You fricked it up? Better. >what do you mean that shit we didn't know about was fricking shit up because some other shit we didn't know about?
Then one dude shows ups >I might know about the thing that no one knows about because I once spoke to a man covered in leaves who spoke of some thing happening >oops it's actually a black dragon fricking everything up lol
Then they pretend the black dragon shit never happened. Fatalis, White Fatalis, Alatreon, Dire Miralis, it just keeps fricking happening in numbered games. 4U at least held back because it was Gog and Dalamadur really causing all the problems instead of another black dragon doing some shit like being born or waking up to scratch its back.
Probably the easiest flagship in the series. Just wait until he starts glowing and then use either your spinning silkbind move on his legs for insane damage

can someone explain how the frick to use silkbind moves? i'm new to Rise and i've yet to use them
This. I wish the game tells you how. Maybe there's an in-game instruction that you can access from the menu that tells you how to do it.
But what am I saying, that's too much for poor, small, developing indie developer from Uganda like Capcom.
Not sure if joking but there's a Tutorial on it, there's like "Hunter Notes -> Weapon", youtube if you still can't figure it out.
If what you mean is that you can't seem to do the Silkbinds other people are doing, it's that you need to unlock them at rank 7 or whatever and also the DLC content at even higher rank.
abuse anything the game gives you. give pets sleep weapons, non target monsters can be mounted near instantly with jump attacks/silkbind. i only ever used hammer to clown on basarios in older MH so i cant give any other good advice other than learn safe openings
use uppercut or level 3 step smash to get quick hits in while he idles between attacks
Save impact crater for knockdowns like the free hellfire blight one, if you dont have it, use big bang combo + finisher
Focus head at all times to get KOs
Invest in utility abilities like evade extender to help dodge attacks and close the distance when he's far away.
I want to play through 3U and 4U with my friend, and I kinda wish I didn't have to grind the hub quest stuff to get my farm and such up to snuff for our online play like we had to for FU.
Do I have to do as much for 3U and 4U as I did for FU to get everything maxed out?
I want to play them all because I enjoy the atmosphere and world, it just feels a bit annoying to have to grind out the village stuff everytime just to play online with my friend the intended way.
Hit his face
Hit it in the head until it stops moving, then hit it some more.
have you tried hitting him
if you're actually getting filtered just farm the stupid colorful birds for 5 minutes before fighting him.
>spiribirds

>2 minutes at most to get max buffs
Learn how to traverse the map
>2 minutes wasted on getting buffs when you could just sit down in the hub and eat food or take a bath and drink coffee milk
this is monster hunter not rainbow birdy collector b***h ass homie
So don't collect the birds, gay
I don't see you crying about food

It only matters if you're ranged
Why? I play LBG and HBG and generally don't bother collecting them on quest hunt
Git gud homosexual
Pathetic.
>FU dung bombs
lole!!!
Misty Peaks innit
Maybe I'm just moronic
Just be good enough at the game to not need them like everyone else.
just eat dango booster instead bro.

thats because they are a bonus
Pro-tip, roll when he attacks and strike him when he's not attacking.
Convince Capcom to implement the Gun Sword from Lost Planet 2 as a new weapon class and swap to that
>capcom
>adding guns
more like they will remove LBG/HBG from the game or swap it for shitty crossbows to appease the moronic western crowd on twatter
funniest part of monster hunter threads.
roll

Imagine having trouble with anything in Rise lol lmao
i haven't played MH since MFU way back when i was in high school, this is basically all new to me
Dodge his attack, then hit him in the face.
abuse anything the game gives you. give pets sleep weapons, non target monsters can be mounted near instantly with jump attacks/silkbind. i only ever used hammer to clown on basarios in older MH so i cant give any other good advice other than learn safe openings
We need a giant boomerang weapon!
use uppercut or level 3 step smash to get quick hits in while he idles between attacks
Save impact crater for knockdowns like the free hellfire blight one, if you dont have it, use big bang combo + finisher

imo you can skip 4U and go straight to XX/GU big snek and tar demon are cool and all but you get 90% of what the series has to offer. and dicky
I want to play them all because I enjoy the atmosphere and world, it just feels a bit annoying to have to grind out the village stuff everytime just to play online with my friend the intended way.
You will have to, but it's not anywhere near as grindy as FU
3u farm is very easy to upgrade. Just do village quests and trade with argosy for upgrade mats
I have never collected a spiribird that wasn't on the direct path to the monster; this includes fast traveling to camps. How shit do you have to be?
Hit it until it dies and try to not get it, if you do get hit then drink a potion, ez.
Or play lance and feel the power of the perfect weapon.
>muh birds
lmao, never pick up those frickers unless they are on my way, they are merely an optional buff, you don't really need them.
>rise is too easy!
and then in the same breath
>I can't handle these monsters without 250HP!
