I am a F2P shitter and I only play planes in Arcade because it's "fun". WoT was my main tank game and I would play WoWP if wargaming had not dropped the ball on that game and abandoned 10 years ago. I also intend to stick with prop planes.
Anyway, I was grinding the French tech tree. My thing is that I enjoy playing unique stuff and not rebadges from other nations, and today I unlocked VB.10-02., which pretty much means I am done with the French, as tier IV are just American/British aircraft.
The new "Belgian" and "Dutch" planes that got added are also 90% American/British with only the Fokker being unique and as I am way past it BR wise, I wasn't really in a position to grind it. I am moving on to the Italians most likely as that seems like the next faction I could "complete" as their unique props go up to tier 4 and the SM.92 looks interesting.
I don't really have anything else to comment about the new update in particular, just that my main gripe with Warthunder is that there are way too many clones. I don't even intend to play the Chinese tree because there are like 2 or 3 unique props that aren't in other tech trees.
Wargaming has gone a bit too far with their asspull napkin designs, but Warthunder I feel fumbles the ball by lacking a lot of interesting vehicles and the few ones that they do get become limited time FOMO premiums.
They also have gone really hard on modern stuff despite the fact that it takes months for the average player to even get to see those things in a battle let alone own them.
Crazy to me that they can find those weird French prototypes no one had heard before but the game still doesn't have F5U.
So yea, I only play Warthunder because of the blunder that was WoWP, and I gave that game a fair shot 10 years ago.

I too enjoy waiting 15minutes for a match. climbing for 10 minutes and then dying in 5 seconds to a premium plane

The update removed rewards for air assault, no more SL/RP. But you still get the daily booster so at least there's that.
They don't want players grinding out their modules in assault, since it is more fun for premium top tier when they have stock jets to bully
