There's a whole 2015 game based on unix terminal input hacking. The 4 homies in a row genre does not need to be fixed, it only needs to be polished
EraMegaten is probably the best jrpg combat I've ever experienced.
To add, I think Pokemon has the worst turn based combat I've ever seen. It's almost impressive how it sells so much, but then again the demo ever rarely is responsible with its own freedom.
You can't, really. They're a relic from when hardware couldn't handle real-time combat.
How THE FRICK do you bring this launcher back?
They bonked it. Might as well just create a game shortcut folder and change the icon.
b***h please, turn based RPGs aren't that complex.
Fan service.
This is the problem -- at some point you figure out the best strategy and then every battle is the same.
We know
Its just waste your time
There's nothing wrong with them but Square is right to focus on action over turn-based RPGs. At least they still put the latter out as HD 2D games. Cheaper to make and doesn't need to sell millions of copies to just break even. Personally I just want the ability to make my own characters and do virtually any build with them.
I miss Windows XP's themes
>Seraphimere uses HyperTerminal again
>another 10 minute unskippable cutscene before he wipes your party
>go through the menu

i fricking hate that

This site continues to deliver top-notch quality.
One thing that is missing is hard knockbacks that are unexpected. Ff4 did a great job with this. Just when you thought you had a good thing going wild shit happens and you have to reinvent your strategy. This could be greatly improved upon, but it just doesn't happen. Also, there are plenty of messed up twists and plots that exist in these genres/tropes that just aren't transfered to vidya. There are plenty of options available, and none of them new, but they have been abandoned.
add actual movement to the game and a battlefield
so whenever you cast fireball you actually can aim the thing
it'll add flanking and actual tactics instead of just recourse management (which becomes irrelevant by the end game anyway)
and branching level ups
Ew that sounds like srpg cringe
sounds like fallout or xcom
so like an actual game
I hate when the boss is charging and I have to defragment my SSD.
