It's funny that you're b***hing about this, when I can guarantee you that this has more effort put into it than almost any triple A horror game in recent memory.
Honestly the idea of maintaining a vehicle to escape/hold off a threat while it's essentially just the two of you on a massive map is a pretty neat idea. Shame this will probably be shallow junk.
It doesn't look completely terrible but this feels more like it's trying to draw in youtubers and their fans instead of having a satisfying gameplay loop that won't get old after a few minutes.
>intentionally try and make it scarier with sharp teeth and blood and gore >ends up looking silly
It's FNAF all over again. Completely forgetting what made the original so unsettling. A slow-burn atmospheric game is much more meaningful than UH OH LE SPOOPY JUMPSCARE OH NO
Anon what the frick would you have wanted from the game if it was just you on a train while a monster that can't ever catch up unless you purposefully let it "chases" you?
The fact that mainstream horror is so shallow and wrung dry that the game that is based on Thomas creepypasta actually looks entertaining I think says more about where horror is at rather than this game itself.
I think the overall gameplay concept is interesting of a giant map and a roaming beast and all you have is your vehicle and you're totally alone. I feel like this could be swung around to like a game about mothman or bigfoot or something if set in like the woods with like a ranger jeep.
honestly it looks silly and ridiculous more than scary, the design is just awful and it'd legitimately be better if it was closer to a regular train instead of this mess.
like genuinely I think the only people that'd be scared by this would be arachnaphobes at best.
I sincerly can't tell if this is meant to be serious or just a joke game marketed as being something serious.
It's meant to be Markiplier bait
does he still play freeware horror games?
the thumbnail for this even looks like what he'd use for his thumbnails, just slap his dumb face on the right.

The trailer shows actual gameplay mechanics so that already puts it ahead of 99% of meme horror.
I actually laughed.
Looks like some bullshit from the gay clown movie. Not Joker, the other one. I don’t remember what It is called.

>how do we stop horror from being camp?
Far greater people than you have tried OP
That could have been a great horror game but they had to put guns n shit in it
bah

I'll wait for the Biden mod
Horror movies were always campy.

I wanna see how this plays out
