Sorry for the misunderstanding. I was referring to the fact that skyrim already did that, as fallout, witcher, totk, elden ring, cp2077. We just had starfield which was aiming pretty high. So the probability of a new open world game with high expectations is very high.

ER didn’t feel like a grand adventure at all. The open world is terribly designed and feel almost as disconnected from each other as Dark Souls 2’s levels did

My point about the magic elevator btw is that it feels weird and lazy that there’s this super long elevator just sitting in the middle of the forest that leads to the ancient dead underground kingdom. Why not have a cave or series of caves that lead down to it naturally? The map in ER feels like someone’s minecraft world with all the jarring biome changes, empty wilderness with nothing but the occasional small building, and lazy elevators/ladders connecting the surface and the underground. It doesn’t feel like a real fantasy world that was ever inhabited

I think people are just mad zelda is back to goty level again two games in a row. Everyone got wienery during the gamecube/wii eras thinking zelda was just another game series now and their mistake was thinking that dark age would last forever.
Haven't played it in months and still need to finish, but as someone who played BotW a ton, TotK felt the same but just way more cluttered in its environment. Didn't justify the time it took to release and could have been remixed way better.
