The series has a lot of momentum to regain if it is to reach or exceed its past peak. It has been nearly 10 years since the last installment, a lot has changed in the gaming landscape since then, not just games themselves but audiences too. Not to mention Bioware is at Blizzard levels of fallen from grace.

I played Dragon Age 2 for the first time in 2021. I enjoyed my time as a comically villainous Hawk that only cared about FRIENDSHIP and family. The rival and friend mechanic is a really cool idea that didn't end up doing much though.
Anders doing 9/11 completely threw me for a loop.
I don't have high hopes after Andromeda, but I am open to being pleasantly surprised like I was with DA 2.

Honestly BG3 feels like it's scratched the itch for a game with DA:O's vibe for many RPG fans, so Dreadwolf is probably a total flop in the making because it's going to be dragged down by all the bad games that Bioware made after Origins.
