If so, should the crown be folded outward like an exit wound or a bullet flowering on impact, that and maybe some smoke rising from the head, maybe some dripping liquids to represent blood.
I never noticed some of the swirls are slightly darker and line up with Harry's mutton chops.

I also like the originals, mostly because of the color palette, but the inconsistent silhouette of the new ones helps the image of abstract elements of the mind

I think Empathy, Hand-eye Coordination, Perception, and Interfacing are big winners with the finished portraits, its much better.
Suggestion, Half light, and Reaction Speed are the biggest losers.
The rest are more or less the same, but with more polish.

I like the unfinished perception a lot more, having the person be this little scribble compared to all the plumes of smoke works better
Half-light and reaction speed better represent their intended purpose.
Half-light is more blurred with watery siloutte to represent darker enviroment
Reaction speed is blurred because you react too fast to be able to percieve individual details.
Overall i think finished versions are better because they're more authentic.

Half-light looks better with a less detailed brush. Looks more violent. Same with Eye-Hand Coordination an Reaction Speed.
The only standout improvements are empathy and hand-eye coordination. All the others are either the same or significantly worse.

They released the "final" versions as part of that promotion with that company that makes metal posters. They were planning on putting them in the Final Cut but backed off, since feedback was negative.

Reaction Speed looks worse, I like the idea of connecting the eyes together to form the blur but that random ear and grin and general blurriness of the entire portrait seals the deal.

What the other guy said. It's a mix between looking like a guy who blew his brains out, which Volition seems to straight up exist to do. As well as preventing you from doing any other moronic thing that comes to mind. And it's a play on the "kingdom of conscience" theme in the game. Volition is the poster boy for the boring, do-normal cop, he's the king of conscience.

If you're actually asking it's almost certainly named for the David Lynch film. The skill is described by the games as "dreams in the waking world" which is how Lynch describes his process and his works. He's obsessed with dreams and using them as an influence on his art both in terms of using visuals from his own dreams and making things that are thematically about dreams. I did a maxxed out run with cheat engine, and it was the ultimate schizo experience. there's a ton of dialogue between the voices that you'd pretty much never hear otherwise, because it's stuff you normally wouldn't level on the same "build".
but due to the nature of the game, you miss out on a bunch of stuff when you succeed every check
