>Also, you didn't actually think of 50.
Its trivial to think of 50 PS2 games, a mild challenge would be 100 games, could literally just pull classic series names out your ass & get dozens of trilogies that'd rapidly fill up a 50 count.
>meanwhile for the PS2 I can think of 50 alone.

In no particular order >MGS2, Transformers (Armada), Silent Hill 3, Burnout 3, Red Dead Revolver and more
Mine & my friends scratched the frick out of our discs & then later devolved into jet engines that could barely run games anymore because they'd overheat. Lasted long enough to play all the good 360 games before they went full moron.
The sixth generation in general stands tall because the leap from PS1 to PS2 actually felt like a leap. The potential for graphics and mechanics was greater than ever, but projects weren't so disgustingly expensive that devs weren't allowed to experiment and branch out to any number of niche ideas and genres. Devs pushed the boundaries of creative mechanics and interactive storytelling, and corporate higher-ups hadn't fully sunk their festering claws into every focus-group tested facet of it quite yet.
But gushing aside, it also meant there was a shitload of shovelware that was forgotten to time.
Got a slim recently and it’s cute. I played agent under fire for nostalgia, then got mgs 3 and one of the final fantasy games, never touched either franchise. They’re both hard to get into so now I don’t know what to play until I can find the patience

Legitimately cannot even name a favorite game from this console, i played hundreds of games on this thing and nearly all of them were good in their own way, recently been in a PS2 emulation binge with my Steam deck and played champions return to arms, its legitimately better than Baldurs gate dark alliance games.
revist at least 1/3rd of those games and you will realize they are shit
while others have not changed a single bit at all
also ps2 is unplayable on modern displays

way to out yourself as a dumbass, all retro consoles used analog signals to output TV and autio signals, your RGB signal is analog too, if you didn't know it now you know. That's why retro CRTs work well with old consoles, that's why you need extra device to connect old consoles to modern TVs and that's why you'll get input lag, because you need to convert analog signals to digital one.

Best console with the best games would be dreamcast. PS2 is overblown by zoomers due sheer big number's virtue the real great games are ignored by them also
>Best console with the best games would be dreamcast.
But it only had a handful, it was the PS5 of its generation, tiring to actually find stuff to play after a while. (good for getting the Huns Yellow Pages on your bedroom CRT TV though)
Nope. It had lots, and variety of it which even the ps2 struggled with despite over 4k titles released. PS2 ended up with a handful of genres having regular releases with others completely ignored (literaly less than 10 rail shooters in ps2 iirc). Also DC had perfect arcade ports when ps2 struggled with just ports alone.
dreamcastbros are delusional as hell
>Even shitty EA sports games were endearing back then
The brutal mogging on PS5 continues...
If you're talking about the first game then yeah, it's a atmospheric heavy game with good level design outside of the shitty swimming mission but that mission is short anyway.
You can still feel the old resident evil roots since the project started out as RE4.
If you played any of later entries it will feel off at first because it's less about using enemies as combo punching bags and more about finding a opening to get in a combo in or 2 and backing off again because enemies are alot more aggressive.
The controls at the time felt pretty good when you just got off of ps1 games even if it feels kind of dated today but it still works.
PS2 feels like the best era of technology meeting soul, like two photons flying towards each other and being side-by-side for a split second before leaving each other again in opposite directions
