>Ganker is getting filtered by this b***h
ah, so youre all just shit.
im gonna guess you also didnt get any skadoo fragments which means you didnt explore the map
I've been lollygagging on the DLC, finding new weapons, trying them out, respeccing to center around them, going out for a field test, eating shit from an enemy I had dunked on before, and repeating all this over and over. So I'm only just now getting to Rellana.
I quickly realized she's not staggering from my attacks. But she IS getting parried. Two stance breaks for a critical. So I grabbed a shield, slapped Golden Parry on it, and equipped my strongest knife in my right hand and fished for parries.
And you know what's the weird part? I'm having fun. I got her down to like 40% before she used attacks I had never seen before, and that feels pretty good.
No? If you're pure strength it'll only make sense if you use great/collosal weapons or greatshields, those are alwasy strong because of stance breaking.
I haven't tried dual colossals but Faith/STR is very strong, you get a lot of buffs that make you shit out a lot of damage and buffs that make you resistant to stuff. Problem is that some bosses don't give you time to reapply the buffs so you phase 2 is often a butthole clenching experience as you're suddenly dealing 30% less damage or so.
I struggled on her for hours, but I eventually found I could just kite her around roll away from her attacks and then punish her with a weapon art and light attack, then after 3 she would stagger and I could riposte her and hit her with carian piercer. I felt nothing but relief the moment I finally got her down.
Not him but weapon arts are one thousand times more powerful and easy to use than sorceries and I have no idea how there are people who still think otherwise.
>can parry >can jump over horizontal swings easily >straight up running also works
I'm convinced the gays who think these games are just roll fest simulators have never actually tried doing anything but spasticity rolling around.
Finally beat her using the Backhand Blade. God what a shitshow, her insane tracking causes her to hit you no matter when you use Blindside. It also causes her to instantly retaliate with another combo.
Listen dark souls is kind of like social skills, some people intuitively get it and some don't, and there's not much that can change that. You can study the guides and read the flowcharts but ultimately you are always going to be working from the outside in and attempting to morph the insights of others into your own insightless worldview. I came up with this theory after seeing how many people are scared and passive even with the most generous boss runs in the series. These people have to be told that they can roll towards a boss rather than panic rolling directly backwards all the time
She's one of the most fun bosses in the game, especially when you learn her moveset a bit better. I beat her with the greatsword of solitude, took me about an hour I think.
is there anywhere a checklist with all the named bosses/minibosses of the dlc?
Im nearing the end want to check if i got everything killed before i end the game
pick up the fragments
don't forget the fragment west of prospect town
get the talisman under the castle bridge
tweak your loadout and strategy if they aren't working
wear armor instead of clothes
respec for AT LEAST 40 VIG and 25 END, anything less and you're playing hard mode on purpose
The second phase is pretty fun because of the stance-switching mechanic, you have a clear visual tell of which stance she's in and each stance comes with its own style of combat that you react to in different ways.
The first phase is meh i agree but then again I think that about carian knight fights in the base game too.
Only real criticism about the DLC is that the open world doesn't seem to be as packed as the original. You have a lot of walking around with nothing of interest between point A and point B.
like everything in life it's fun if you know what you're doing, it's u fun if you suck. when will the casuals invasion of souls end oh god
After you have a nice day
She's the fairest boss in the DLC, if you got filtered by her unironically just git gud.
You learn to enjoy the taste of smegma.
>fromslop
Never was.
get gud
it's very sad that this no longer works. Why did everyone stop caring?
get gud
It's not and IT. IS. EVERYTHING.
>use greatshield
>counter her at the end of her combos
>stancebreak her into crit
>repeat until she dies
yep. that was easy
Pussies
>ER bosses
>Fun
Pick one.
>Ganker is getting filtered by this b***h
ah, so youre all just shit.

when i killed her i was at lvl 3 or 4 skibiditree toilet
I was at level 6, absolutely schlonged her with R2 jumping attack spam
>level 6

It is, you probably have a shitty build
$40 btw
only fricking children play games for fun
Fun on my machine.
My eyes hurt.
WebM4morons is too hard, I must be some sort of mega-moron
>WebM4morons
It's not even called that anymore, you need to update it.
Just beat her with my Greatshield and my Longsword, guard counters and crits, you homosexuals are pathetic
Reminder the asiatic already did a no-hit runhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6MpHbLs8eg
So? Ongbal is not human.
it isn't
sex with ranni's aunt
Skill issue

She's very fun, I just hate how unpredictable she is in multiplayer.
>does a 90% of combo towards host
>pivots 180 and slams me with the final attack
Are pure STR/VIT builds a meme? I'm level 150 and i feel like if i take the faithpill miracles are gonna carry my ass on the DLC

if you're not enjoying Rellana then you should unironically quit because it only gets worse from there
I think she is waaaaay better than the dancing lion.
A bit spammy, but at least you can see her moves
Holy frick Miyazaki has really got the shazamtrannies and fotm shitters seething. So fricking based I kneel FromSoft.
I struggled on her for hours, but I eventually found I could just kite her around roll away from her attacks and then punish her with a weapon art and light attack, then after 3 she would stagger and I could riposte her and hit her with carian piercer. i struggled too
>magic
anon...
Not him but weapon arts are one thousand times more powerful and easy to use than sorceries and I have no idea how there are people who still think otherwise.
This is now a female knights thread
Hopefully she has a full body model under that armor for some nude mods
easy boss, just git gud
>can parry
>can jump over horizontal swings easily
>straight up running also works
I'm convinced the gays who think these games are just roll fest simulators have never actually tried doing anything but spasticity rolling around.
*casually does a recycled parriable Malenia dashspinattack in your direction*
>shitters still being filtered by pressing dodge at the right time instead of spamming it
It's sad that she'll probably be nerfed.
bump
Finally beat her using the Backhand Blade. God what a shitshow, her insane tracking causes her to hit you no matter when you use Blindside. It also causes her to instantly retaliate with another combo.
Piss easy with light roll. I almost felt like I was cheating

i beat it
just get lucky i guess
pick up the fragments
don't forget the fragment west of prospect town
get the talisman under the castle bridge

wear armor instead of clothes
respec for AT LEAST 40 VIG and 25 END, anything less and you're playing hard mode on purpose

Which one is that?
the 20% magic resist talisman
can easily be collected from the Castle Front grace
Oh, I missed it. That would've been handy but I just used the magic resist consumables instead.
I got tired of trying to figure out the right timing to dodge her spastic attacks so instead I parried her ass with golden parry on a buckler.
It's not supposed to be fun
It's supposed to be challenging
Something you celebrate after completion
Go play another game for mindless, carefree fun
A challenge can be fun
Yes they can, but dont have to be.
Is this the new humiliation ritual? Maybe you should learn to parry instead of acting like a massive fricking homosexual

The scenery inbetween enemy encounters is the best part
>Rennala has a secret twin called Rellana but she has TWO moons and shit
I thought that was a joke
