I don’t remember this problem whatsoever and I played the regular GoG version without any mods.
Maybe OP has never played a game where the character move on an isometric grid before? That's the only thing that I can think of.
think about what it feels like to move your mouse cursor in a circle on your desktop, now play F1 and try doing the same thing, the cursor will not move in a complete circle.
It does in the menu, inventory screen, on the hud, etc. It moves normally everywhere except for the isometric grid where you click to move. If it feels differently, that's a problem with your machine/install.
I had to tweak some files for my Hi-Res patch to work on GoG. It worked straight out the box for me on Steam tho
don’t know why you’re having problems. this is why I don’t like PC in the first place. ive been thinking about switching. but, i never had a problem with playing vanilla classic fallout 1-2 besides what I mentioned above.
i wont lie. sometimes my game stutters every couple of hours and i have to save & reload to fix it. BUT THATS IT. never had any other problems

There's fan-made patches for that kind of thing but the easiest thing to do is download a repack that's already got all that shit installed.
