How's hearthstone doing?
Really loved playing it back in the days and now craving it again.

Gwent. The game isn't recieving any more dev support but balancing is now in the community's hands. It's super F2P friendly and gives you resources in the frickload.
gwent sucks though, it's static as frick
If by static you mean highly strategic and deliberate, why is that a bad thing? Does zoomie need his RNG and flashing lights?
i don't want to play the same sequence of cards over and over again with minimal interaction with my opponent compared to better card games that actually have, oh i dont know, fricking combat
I wish I could just text chat with my opponent. Limited communication is dehumanizing and gay.
Its just not good anymore. The game doesn't have any of the talent behind what made it great in the past, leading to games being an unbalanced mess where decks center around 1 card, pure RNG nonsense and epic pog moments instead of cultivating strategy. The game has gotten extremely reddit too. Instead of theming the expansions around something/someone in Warcraft, they just do "WoW zone + movie theme" now, and 90% of the cards art just looks like poorly traced pixar characters doing söý faces, completely ruining the admittedly great 'Magic but Warcraft' aesthetic the game used to have. If you enjoy a card being played, making a quip then insteantly winning the game for you then go ahead and play but honestly I'd just move on.
There are some decent alternatives but I don't think they live up to old Hearthstone. Shadowverse is pretty decent, Magic is always around and has an online TCG, apparently the Marvel one is good but I hate capeshit so haven't tried it myself and I hear good things about the LoL TCG from friends that play it.
>8
Does shadowverse even have a playerbase? Always felt like some cheap mobile game to me.
How's MTG f2p
Getting started takes a while, but once you have a collection, keeping up with new expansions isn't too bad.
Marvel Snap is more addictive than Hearthstone ever was.
Don't. The game is plagued by powercreep and metagays. Almost no one experiments with the game anymore as actual card games tend to do.
>Any alternatives?
Online multiplayer versions? Gwent, maybe. Other than that, just opt for offline versions which would include the Gwent standalone singleplayer games (such as Thronebreaker). Also there's Magic the Gathering Shandalar which is still the best computer card game if you'd ask me. Look for the 2016 modded version in the Ganker archives if you're interested.
Yu Gi oh
It´s dead, it just got a new expansion and the numbers are not impressive
Excavate's not too bad if you're not dead turn 4
They release expansions and then release balance patches the week after now. The team has zero capability to forsee the future and how cards will impact the current state of the game.
Back during the Brode era, they at least tried to keep from patching things unless it was ruining the game. The new team just randomly lets classes ruin the game the whoke expansion while killing other classes right away.
The brode era was god awful full of autoincludes, and broken cards that anyone could see were broken from a mile away that never got balanced. Literally physical card game balance philosophy with digital goods. Ridiculous.
This game has been intentionally mismanaged since day 1.
If you're planning on going back, don't. Maybe wait until it drops on Steam and Gamepass because they might do something to unfrick the game and bring in new players.
>If you're planning on going back
Doesn't look like I could play it even if I wanted to.
>They removed double authentication app for battle.net.
>Now you have to use another app to do it, but to access it you need code from the first one, which doesn't work.
>To cancel double authentication you need a code which need a code that you can't get.
>Support literally said "we can't help you".
Whenever I feel like IRL gambling I just play Hearthstone instead to quell the beast.
In the best state it's ever been, saying that as someone who's been playing the game on and off since launch. Not that doomposting homosexuals care.
Just watch some streamer for a couple hours and decide if you like what you're seeing or not
how is it not shit, last i played was stormwind and boy was that shit
The game was ruined by aggro gays and made even worse by OTK wienersuckers and the dev team is full of them. You either die turn 3-4 to hyperaggoro that can play two 3/1s, a 1/1 and two 2/2s on turn one or you die to an opponent who hoards cards until turn 6 and then kills you in a combo that you can't counter cuz even if you got one piece of it, the others still kill you or he just has another of that card
>or you die to an opponent who hoards cards until turn 6 and then kills you in a combo that you can't counter cuz even if you got one piece of it, the others still kill you or he just has another of that card
And the homosexual devs don't want to make cards that force the opponent to discard cards because "it's unfunnnnn and feels baddddd"
yea, them nerfing illucia was a massive fricking design blunder, the game desparately needs interaction that is able to stop combo, as well as better anti-aggro tools
Them nerfing Control Warrior when it was slapping cheeks on ladder was the end of the game. Yeah, even as control it was kinda unfun to play against Warrior (not unwinnable though) but it wasn't overpowered and literally every deck challenging it for top spot was an aggro deck. At that moment they chose to kill off Control for no reason other than it was making aggro gays seethe
You could say the same about freeze mage, miracle rogue, patron warrior etc
When those decks were active, control was still strong. Control Warrior was literally the end of control decks for a long while.
>Blizzard morons nerfed patron warrior before patching out how their stupidly moronic animation system works.
Completely embarrasing.
It's bad now. Power creep ruined the game. It's like Yugioh now but worse
oh man
I played at launch for a bit, but started properly during old gods and let me tell you
gadgetzan was face-melting kino
the patches reveal was SOVLFVL as frick
I built my pirate warrior deck and climbed D5 for the first time
it was tough because I played the deck like a moron, I'd trade and keep my minions on board instead of going face
I'd have won so many games if I just went face
I want to go back... I want to go back to mean streets of gadgetzan...
>Liking gadgetzan
>Liking patches of all things
yes, it was kino
No, every class pretty much has at least 2 copies of turn 3-5 twisting nether summon a 5/5 until you either zerg the opponent down by turn 7 (even if they double their max hp and heal to full on 6 you could probably zerg them down) or activate your exodia.
disgusting
ESG status? did they stop nogging it up? is that troon guy's self-insert still getting cards?
>ESG status?
Do you know who the Titan of the paladins was? She kept order between the other Titans and metaphorically speaking ran away to grab some milk and cigarettes when SHTF if you can believe it.
Also the Paladin hero power is getting full diversity quote update soon, when you summon a dude you'll get them in a variety of colors if you know what I mean.
goddamn, I'm not white or religious and it's disgusting and obvious how they're specifically targeting fantasy christians/europeans
and they'll tell you they're not trying to replace you
these characters are so soulless, too
>How's hearthstone doing?
In life support
It's actually in a decent spot for now. They added some new packs that gives you like 50 cards each if you haven't played in a long time. Meta is pretty fun as well expect the few obviously broken outlier but they will nerfed soon.
It's shit. If I wanted games over on turn 3 to aggro or rampant OTK bullshit, I have Yugioh already.
