I just think it's really weird they showed off the Nun and the Church Witch, but kept Vanessa's full design a secret for so long, but revealed the most about her with the sneak preview of the intro and her boss fight. You'd think the final boss would be something you wouldn't show off at any event, right? Maybe Vanessa is just the stage 4 boss?
