The expansion is planned for the first anniversary of Dragon's Dogma 2 (2025), please discard the fake leak of a few days ago that has no basis. The project is already well underway in its organizational phase as it was already dealt with in the pre-production plan period but shelved along with some mechanics due to balancing issues and that would have required too much additional development extra time.
The provisional title is "The Cursed Cycle" and introduces the "curse" mechanic that forces the Arisen to wear a face accessory (mask) to hide from a new type of enemies called "Caryatids" that may constantly chase the Arisen and will be impossible to kill permanently without specific equipment, obtainable only in the main part of the two new locations (removing the mask will reveal the location to these enemies).

The first new area is Pale Peaks a predominantly snowy area and occupying the entire northwest area of t;he map; the second location is the Eternal Pit and it will be accessible in the vicinity of the Seafloor Shrine and replicating a structure similar to DD1's Everfall but with potentially infinite rogue-like gameplay and mechanics as it is based on modular levels that become increasingly difficult as you go down. The Eternal Pit will be the narrative canvas from which the curse will originate after the appearance of the First Dragon.
Regarding the classes, there will be no new ones selectable right away but they will be replaced by new "arts" which can be learned by the Warfarer, turning him into classes never seen before including the Vespilus which is for all intents and purposes a necromancer. I am not aware of details about new monsters but I know there will be some never seen before as well as some of the missing bestiary from DA/DDO (there's a 60-70 people team dedicated just to this). The game is already a big success for capcom and morale in Osaka is so high that Itsuno canceled a trip to Italy to get right back to work. I don't think there will be any more news, I just shared what is already known enough not to risk it. Salutations

Climb over them? The game literally has a climbing mechanic. They could have applied the same enemy climbing system to the enviroment similar to what BotW did. They deliberately didn't because DD isn't an open world game
