I am stuck on boss.
>follow this guide to upgrade your sword, learn magic, craft potions, status effects blah blah
>summon someone to beat it for you
>grind mobs
No. I only play games my way, hence it will be dropped. If I can't beat a game without having to do a bunch of gay shit and reading guides I'm not interested. I walk to boss with sword, that's how I play these games. Hell I don't even know what the button is to call epona.
>got filtered by epona
You sound like a low IQ moron. Welcome to Ganker you'll fit right in!
You call me low IQ but I guarantee you think having the ability to read a guide makes you good at the game, or even high iq. You aren't either, you just read some shit or watched some shit
Not him but humans aren't good at doing shit on their own, taking advice, learning, improving through others and getting better makes one a better human.
Still you can freely ignore everything I said and live in a cave away from society by yourself if you think learning or benefiting off of others is a bad thing.
Just git gud then
I know but I'm not good enough... I don't remember ds bosses having this many moves to memorize.
Well yea, DS is older than a decade. Pro tip for melee in Elden Ring, jump more.
After beating every boss in the game solo melee, I laugh at myself when I see videos of people just jumping over attacks I meticulously dodged. That was the one habit I couldn’t get down, it was like the Sekiro effect, I had to abandon my urge to dodge so I could parry in that game but instead in ER just kept dodging instead of jumping
they didn't. ever since bloodborne now bosses have two, sometimes three, phases in which they'll throw some new bullshit at you mid fight and you have to spend hours learning that too. it's not a bad system, but can be very time consuming. all you have to do is learn. you can learn still, right?
give example of boss you're stuck on. 99% of the time the strategy boils down to
>don't get hit
>watch out for these specific attacks because they'll frick your shit if you get hit
>use this particular weapon type
>here's this specific gimmick you gotta do to make the fight easier
>gitgud.png
…..hours? Man I first time a lot of bosses because I take the mentality of “go with the flow and just react to what they throw at you” not “okay better start memorizing”. Kinda reminds me of when I was thrown at the dancer with little estus, little health, and a lot of souls. I shut my brain off and just dodged and beat her 1 time.
It’s only the Kos’s, Fried’s, Isshin’s and Melanias that I really memorize.
it just depends on where you're at in the game. If you first encounter a godskin apostle at lvl 150 with a +10 laceration weapon then it's going to be easier than if you encounter him at level 70 without any special advantages against him. if you memorize attacks, then this helps you in the future if you want to do autistic challenges like speedrunning or whatever.
Yeah elden ring is a different beast about the running into bosses too early or too late but nonetheless sometimes I feel like that mentality of “memorize every tell” gets people stuck until they memorize everything instead of having the mentality of “fight within the flow of the match and be on your toes” which allows you to first time dodge combos
Elden Ring is built on years of the developers knowing exactly what you did to dodge certain attacks, for example you jump in a big enemies booty and just smack, now they turn around and swing.
Just focus on abandoning some of your “roll here” habit and roll to the right spot because some enemies even have combos to fast for you to roll through it all unless you roll the right direction. Also, as always, just wait for the moment they swing and you won’t have to memorize shit. It’s not ground breaking but remembering that will get you through almost any attack at any moment. We all forget and start to dodge at the wind up or wait too late or try to memorize combos, when all we have to do is watch for the moment a boss swings
>I refuse to explore a game whose core focus is exploring
A Tree Sentinel enjoyer, I see. Cool bait thread.
why do people keep saying this game is "filled with content"? all you do is fight monsters over and over again, I understand it doesn't need a fishing minigame but come on
>go to supermarket
>buy spaghetti sauce
>"filled with flavor!"
>open sauce
>prepare sauce
>prepare meal with sauce
>it's just ordinary tomato sauce with some spices
>hurr why do they say it's "filled with flavor?!" It's just the same old tomato flavor that hits my taste buds bite after bite.
Ja, ER is bland as frick and even quite mouldy in a lot of places.
Name a good game
>why is this game filled with gameplay?
>I wanted annoying mini games and movies
The absolute state of zoomers.
bosses can be beat at lowest level with the worst weapon. It's a (you) issue
Just play Nioh 2 OP. Fromsoft games are trash.
this
If you want to be a skilled swordsman you're playing the wrong game OP.
I’m gonna get Nioh bc I loved Sekiro but I absolutely play these games as a skilled swordsman every time. My first game was threaded cane with BB when I finally got a ps4 and left my Xbox life.
Not the first time I've been told to play nioh. I will buy it. Honestly the vibe of what Ive seen always put me off, it looks like if a spicy noodle ramen package was a game
The main draw of that game is the combat system and it pays off to learn it properly. In fact you have to to enjoy it. People being too moronic to learn its mechanics is what filtered them.
Yes, that’s why I also dropped it. My friend started blabbering about what to do and where to go every time I got on. Frick guides
As a souls vet I get so disgruntled when new players at work start talking to me about “yeah did you hear about the bird underground (Mohgs) or that dragon in Caelid” and then I just explain to them that all they need to really do is understand stats and the fundamentals of gameplay because you don’t need to farm or get overleveled in these games, just understand your build. It happens so often tbh, more than I like. All these guides are giving the wrong advice and instead saying “how to level fast and get this OP weapon!”
They’re always kindve amazed when I tell them about how I never recommend farming bc the game gives enough xp by exploring. And I just tell them they’re struggling because they never learned the fundamentals and instead used a guide to overlevel and that’s why they’re not beating Margitt despite being overlevelled etc. I’ve had to have the “just dodge” talk too many times and they’re just amazed everytime. I just tell everyone don’t get frustrated and if you take the time to learn how to beat Margitt rather than overlevel or summon you’ll beat the whole game.
> I only play games my way
based
>I am stuck on boss.
>it will be dropped
cringe
>If I can't beat a game without having to do a bunch of gay shit and reading guides
you can
everyone does
that you even VIEWED a guide affirms you as cringe
>playing those idiotic japanese press button to roll games
just drop this trash game and play something actually good.
if you want to play something japanese that ISNT trash, and is actually fantastic, try Death Stranding.
>walking simulator
>delivery simulator
>a hideous small island game
is this bait?
>Death Stranding
Its the best game of the decade, right after DOOM Eternal.
Low IQ homosexuals dont get it.
ok now I know this is bait. thanks for the laugh, moron.
>he doesnt accept the simple fact Death Stranding is a game of the decade
didnt expect anything else from a person satisfied with elden ring.
Anon I like Death Stranding but it’s a incredibly niche game with the budget of AAA game, People either hate it or love it, You going to get some angry (you)s
If Death Stranding was an indie game, it would be 2 dollars and released on ios and android only. You know this to be true. Kojima turned a shitty mobile game concept into a mediocre console game. SAD!
Its one of the most polished and detailed games ever made, though.
>shitty mobile game concept into a mediocre console game.
that would be reddit ring.
Is this a fake post or are you actually a fricking moron? You can't call the horse? You have the negative IQ required to not be able to read or understand the tutorial on how to use the horse? You're too stupid to play better or grind or go somewhere else so you aren't stuck on the boss? I mean what the frick is this? I'm not even saying you need to enjoy the game or play a different way but you're complaining that it isn't working exactly as you want it to? I don't even comprehend the level of delusion you must be on.
Your jank game sucks miyazaki.
Black person, you can beat every boss however you want. If you're too bad to do it or too impatient to beat the boss the way you wanted, that's on you. I beat the game along with all the demigods while restricting myself to only lvl80, using no summons, no magic, no spirits, no bhs or other OP ashes, and only the zweihander as my weapon and the blue set as my armor. The game didn't force you to play a certain way, you being bad and trying to look up a guide just proofs how much of a homosexual you are.
what weapon are you using?
Drones don't understand that telling someone to abuse exploits to win proves the game isn't balanced
>Playing the game
>Using the game's mechanics
>It's abuse exploits
Are you moronic?
Yes. Using ashes is just a means to avoid getting combo'd to death by distracting the boss with that shitty gimmick so you can smack him in the ass. It breaks the fight and it feels cheap and gay.
then don't use them
Problem is unlimited random non stop boss combos you have to avoid by rolling around 50 times before getting a hit in also feels cheap, tedious and gay.
>it's too hard so I need to use the easy mode
sounds like a (you) problem
yes, this is an in-game version of a Difficulty slider, theres nothing "exploitative" about it
Ja but its either laughably easy or stupidly unfair. There is no inbetween. The combat being jank doesnt do it service either.
And the ashes of war that give you poise are bullshit too, huh?
>Game give you tools to solve the problem
>Decides to bang head into wall until the problem solve itself by miracle
>Blame the game is shit and problem badly designed
?????
i dont get it either, they don't have to skills to beat a boss in difficult sword-and-board combat, but they can't swallow their unjustified pride and use the other tools given to them to beat the boss. people like this need to frick back off to a more mindless hack and slash like the original God of War trilogy or some shit.
>difficult
lmfao
oh I don't think it's difficult, I beat the game with no summons or ashes, i'm referring to the other buttmad homosexual in the thread who can't seem to make up his mind about how he wants to approach the game
My problem is that it’s such a get out jail free card new players don’t learn the fundamentals and get better. Just ring-a-ding ding.
This. It should've had something like 'humanity', 'human effigies' and 'embers' from the other games to enable co-op and spirt ashes. Like, you can only use the bell after using a Rune Arc.
Op doesn't tell us which boss nor which weapon/tactic they are using. It's clearly a bait, since no boss is so hard that they would get stuck.
It's primarily a single player experience with optional mutliplayer, why are you talking about balance? Why are you calling intended mechanics exploits? Their games never had difficulty sliders but they usually had player modulated difficulty. If you pick the most powerful gear and magic, it becomes easier. They added even more powerful magic and to make it have more mass appeal, but you absolutely do not have to use any of it, I for one didn't. Why would I give a shit about mechanics and OP shit that was added that doesn't bother my way of playing it? Should I be salty because a shitter managed to play the game with the most OP stuff they added? Why would I give a shit about that?
Reread the OP anon. Balance is relevant
No, it is not. If you want to play a certain way and it's too hard, you just have to git gud. If you're too much of a homosexual and have to resort to easy-mode mechanics, that's on you.
I'm not some gaming god, in fact I'm below average in most mutliplayer games and I managed fine without any of the OP mechanics and shit they added.
When majority of players feel obligated to use meta tricks to avoid tedium then yes the game is unbalanced.
The majority of the player base of any game selling this well, are fricking morons and should not be considered unless you're trying to casualize the game further.
>Another filtered pleb
Nobody cares, OP.
How about you git gud and stop crying gayet.
ER is the easiest game of the decade, just press the button to roll in the right moment, man.
Nice blog post, homosexual. Nobody gives a shit about how (you) play games and if you beat them or not. Frick off.
I've finished Elden Ring without any guides, using Golden Halberd and Blasphemous Blade with incantations. Your problem is simple - you refuse to improve. You can figure out how to change your build on your own, no need to read a guide for that.
Why would you need guides for basic shit you do in every single RPG? Are you proud of being ignorant?
if you think the solution to you being a moron is to read on a guide on how to be a moron that explains how to do everything to you, then the issue is that you are a moron not that guides for morons exist.
there is no solution to your moronation
>I only play games my way
>Which is why I'm quitting
lol
Guides for bosses rarely work
>dude run away
>cheese it
>dies anyways
I only started breezing through nu-Soft once I started playing more aggressively against bosses
