My point was that just because people say that he convinced the village that same sex twins aren't evil/bad luck etc... doesn't mean that he can't have an internal conflict about his masculinity. Many who assert that by the end of the game Bridget wants to/is a girl and is struggling with accepting femininity ignore the fact that it is at least (if not more) likely that he's struggling with fully accepting masculinity and living as a man.

Its literally the same trope most trans people champion if it was the normal way - that the person is assigned to be the same gender as their birth sex and culturally treated that way, but they struggle with, gain strength, and eventually come out as the other non-socially prescribed gender that differs from their sex. With Bridget, its the same story it just happens to be that the issue with biological sex is reversed. He's born a male twin, because of superstition his parents choose to raise him as a girl, he's taught female mannerisms, identity, culture etc... but as he grows up this doesn't entirely feel right. So he goes out to prove that being same gendered twins aren't bad, and does that but now feels lost internally. He's not sure what masculinity means to him - he always wanted to prove himself a guy in spite of his upbringing, but how, what does it mean to be a guy, and what if he's not strong enough? In the "good"ending of the arcade mode he talks to Ky and is basically told that even if its hard and others won't approve, its okay for him to be himself and live that way full time and he has the strength to do it. The only difference in the narrative framework is that the "person he really is" happens to be the gender identical to his birth sex, which was denied to him for many years.

Same thing happens in Ranma, and trannies tried to claim that, too.

His story is very similar to that of David Reimer, the child groomed into being a girl from birth. He ended up killing himself because his childhood trauma from grooming permanently rendered him unemployed and he had no idea on how to find his purpose as a man despite being one. In your analogy, David Reimer's moral lesson is that he simply had to concede to the grooming and just identify as a girl for the rest of his life.

You're conflating "village won't kill him, because he brought home the bucks, getting over old superstition" with his personal journey. Just the same way that a trans person may go through a long process between realizing they identify as and want to live as another gender, Bridget is doing the same, just with the gender that happens to coincide with his biological sex. He's said he's a boy in the past, but it was always just against the opposition of having something to prove TO SOCIETY. He became a bounty hunter and made money, but surprise that didn't mentally make him instantly feel comfortable and magically become a man. So he's been feeling like something is off. He has to figure out what being masculine means, what kind of man he wants to be, and then decide to actually live, dress, have the mannerisms of etc... all of that is a far cry from simply saying "I know I'm a man", the same way that a transwoman who may say "I know I'm a woman" but what will be their aesthetic, their style, do they want to be an ultra feminine long haired type or are they a bull dyke butch transbian.
