you didn't frick up at all. zotac gets shit on for being a low tier card but it's fine. I bought my zotac 3080 at launch, been going strong a year with 0 problems, performs great, great temps.
Yeah I hope so, I was worried about Zotac because I saw people calling in low quality shit. But most people tell me that aftermarket cards are usually totally the same the only main differency is cooling and support/warranty
The only bad thing about Zotac cards is their customer service is shitty and slow because they are nips, but I've never really had to deal with them. Have had 3 zotac cards (770, 980ti, 3080). My old ones work fine and I have them in other PCs. They probably aren't great for overclocking or some shit, but i don't really see the point in shortening the lifespan of my gpu to get 5 more fps.
that's the card i want to replace my 1060. my 1060 is working great but i need a better GPU to futureproof.
I'm using one. It's pretty damn powerful so long as you don't use the RTX feature.

As someone who's only been playing PC for a year it is a nice luxury but the double edged sword is this expensive dogshit. Finding parts in my state is still fricking hard and/or expensive. And don't even get me started with Amazon or eBay ect.
If the shortage and the ridiculous pricing consist throughout this decade I'm gonna quit PC And go back to being strictly a console peasant. 2020 cannot become the new norm of finding parts nope. Don't have the patience or time to deal with it.
I will throw my luxury life away and become a dirty fricking peasant again. (I mean I'm half of one atm)
I really only use my pc for online games. And I still use my console in my living room for offline open world stuff or just storys Which I will admit it's way more comfy to just sit back on a nice soft sofa then a chair that I have too put a pillow on cause it starts too hurt my ass.
