lmao I remember when the game was announced that it'd be split in parts everyone knew it was going to be shit but the shills were like
"dude trust square, they're remaking it in parts so they can expand on midgar, we'll have open world midgar, we'll get to visit sector 3, sector 4 and all the upper plate, it will be amazing"
I did, and then I missed a weapon manual after the Hell House so I had to go and fight Hard Hell House a second time.
After all that I beat all the secret fights including the summon battles like where Bahamut summons Ifrit at half HP and the Pride and Joy prototype.
It was a grueling experience.
>After all that I beat all the secret fights including the summon battles like where Bahamut summons Ifrit at half HP and the Pride and Joy prototype.
I still haven't done that Hard mode Bahamut fight because frick me it's just ridiculous and the game just expects you to grind like 6 HP Plus Materia to max level and frick that
I'm still having PTSD from that Hell House fight. The most fricked up part of the boss battle was the Tonberry he spits out, they're easy to deal with with Triple Slash but you need ATB bar for it as soon as they spawn or else you're dead by the time you build it. Triple Slash can also get interrupted if they're too close to Hell House while he has physical barrier, your attack gets stopped when your sword touches the barrier and the Tonberry use that opportunity to all jump you to frick your shit up. I appreciate the devs giving the game some difficulty but still, frick that boss with all my heart.
I really dont care, Epic will pay a lot of money to SE so that means more funding for the next parts. In fact i prefer that much better than having to rely on autists buying it.
I'm liking the way Square is doing thung lately
If I want Turn Based, I have Scarlet Grace , DQ11, Octopath and Bravely (I hope Chiba came back with another FF spin of or a new title)
If I want action rpg , I have 7Remake , Neo Twewy and Mana
If I want hack n Slash, I have NieR.
After KHDDD, KH3 and FFXV I wasn't sure if square knew how to make a good action game again but it worked well.
I also hope the dai game isn't shit or Luminious and KH next game are good but is square, they always frick up when things is going well.
I tried really hard to like this game. And I kinda do... but I can't bring myself to keep playing till I finish. Like the combat's cool and fun and all, but it's the forced walking and talking sections where you just can't run that kill the whole experience for me... Might be my fried dopamine receptors from all the soulslikes, stylish action, and beat em ups I've been playing.
You mean just beating it at all? Because it was certainly hard getting through that fricking boring slog filled with constant forced walking sections and shit dialogue
I got the Platinum Trophy. I did not play the Yuffie DLC so I do not have the Trophies for that game. I am going to hold off on Yuffie until the date is closer to Remake Part 2 releasing. I am sure by that time the Yuffie DLC will either go down in price permanently, or have a decent sale in prep for the release of Remake Part 2.
I'm glad Tim is going to give SE a lot of money because I don't think it and the future parts are going to sell very well. If it takes Tim's money to get to the next parts made... so be it. Better than counting on actual sales.
Nobody is going to hand SE a billion dollars for exclusive rights to a game that won't sell well. No matter how you slice it the sequels are going to sell a lot less and that is going to have a negative impact on the budget and state of the future releases. The question is will they rush to the ending on the cheap or just drop the project entirely. (Which is what they usually do)
I've been wanting to but my backlog keeps getting longer and cucking me and then they made the Intergrade version PS5 only, not sure if I should go back and platinum the PS4 version or just wait till I upgrade to PS5.
Either Buster Sword for the better all-around stats (and aesthetics) or Mythril Saber for the MP regen. Hardedge seemed redundant to me because you can easily hit 9999 with Infinite End regardless of your weapon, especially with Tifa and Aerith driving up the stagger multiplier
I just beat the game recently and wanted to know if I start chapter 1 on Hard, will it just continue into the next chapters on Hard as well or do I have to manually select them?
lol, no. It's literally just the base game but not fun and more tedious. They just blocked items, which is fine if it's in battle item ban, and made MP, a resource, not a resource but a limit on casting.
It's the laziest kind of challenge, just blocking or gimping gameplay elements to make everything just take longer and be more tedious.
Playing it on hard to play through the story again after having played the original which was phenomenal, i'm starting to see why you guys don't like the remake as much.
Nah, got sick of the damage sponges on normal mode and only got past the Scorpion Sentinel before quitting. Might give hard another go when the PC version is here.
The remake is shit, so no.

Bro just link elemental and fire in an accessory slot and Ifrit will heal you for free.
Grinding is easy once you beat the game.
It's not so bad, I grinded for a bit, but I just got other shit to play, ya know? Still loved the game
Eh, for some reason I didn't think of this cuz I'm an idiot. I'll give it a shit wnext time

On hard mode first strike is almost mandatory.
I 100%d it, when did they add a Hard mode? I only recall Easy being unlocked after you finish the game on Very Easy.
Hard mode unlocks after beating the game. It wasn't added in a patch because one of the trophies is to beat every chapter on hard
not touching that turd , nope.
I really dont care, Epic will pay a lot of money to SE so that means more funding for the next parts. In fact i prefer that much better than having to rely on autists buying it.
Didn't this FFVII remake sell well below expectations?
No. It sold pretty damn well, 5 million copies in 4 months and fastest selling FF in the USA
Probably at 7 million at this point

I still have to solo bahamut as cloud
I did it was fun and had a surprising amount of strategies to choose from.
What's the first thing to do after you beat the game in order to get 100%?
go through the story on hard to get the Hard mode only weapon manuals
I tried really hard to like this game. And I kinda do... but I can't bring myself to keep playing till I finish. what's so good about Hard mode?
whens it coming to pc its already been a year and a half
Btw: dub or sub?
Same answer as literally every other dub vs. sub question. Dub because you're going to get the localized dialogue anyway.
French dub is hilarious.
Tifa and Aerith sound better in French than in English.
and Barret sounds like a 80's action flick hero.

i don't play regurgitated crap, wake me up when s-e makes a decent game
I've been wanting to but my backlog keeps getting longer and cucking me and then they made the Intergrade version PS5 only, not sure if I should go back and platinum the PS4 version or just wait till I upgrade to PS5.
Just transfer your save, bro.
Just play the PS4 version, anon.
What weapon do you use for Cloud on hard mode?
the one that changes the passive MP regen from 1 MP per 20 seconds in battle to 1 MP per 10 seconds in battle
Either mythril saber or Hardedge
If Aeris is around Hard Edge, if not Mythril Saber
Either Buster Sword for the better all-around stats (and aesthetics) or Mythril Saber for the MP regen. Hardedge seemed redundant to me because you can easily hit 9999 with Infinite End regardless of your weapon, especially with Tifa and Aerith driving up the stagger multiplier

You don't have to select chapters.
Does watching a let's play count? I'm not masochistic to actually play nu-FF
Too bad for you, "nu-ff" has actually the most engaging gameplay in the franchise. If you want to lets play stuff, then the older FFs are for that.
I'm on chapter 8 and my hard run is going well so far
lol, no. It's literally just the base game but not fun and more tedious. They just blocked items, which is fine if it's in battle item ban, and made MP, a resource, not a resource but a limit on casting.
