Hm, I guess it wouldn't be too bad considering how little retro games use them. Even something as involved as Super Metroid just uses them for angled shots while standing.
They runs at full speed, only issues are lack of RTC so time has to be set manually, and non integer scaling since it doesn't have a perfect ratio with the GBA, see : https://shauninman.com/utils/screens/#src_screen:6,src_nn:0,src_width:240,src_height:160,dst_screen:6,dst_width:640,dst_height:480,dst_size:2.8
Screen res is good enough so it isn't much of an issue.
The original model was kind of shit and underpowered but with the upgrade it's quite a decent device for the money.
Biggest gripe is the terrible digital right "stick", luckily you probably won't need it for most of the games it'll run.
maybe. there are better devices out there, but it really depends on what you plan on using it for.
JRPGs I guess.
yeah you're good as long as you dont plan on playing anything newer than ps1/n64 for consoles and gba for handhelds. idr if it can do nds
I was hoping moonlight could fill in the gaps.
The other ones I looked at were all out of stock
I have one but the fricking cfw keeps uninstalling itself after reboots.
probably should have just bought a vita
If you enjoy playing games up to Dreamcast and only want to 99 bucks for it. I'd say its a p good deal.
I bought an anbernic and returned it. Why? I don't fricking play video games as much as I like anymore.
Long as you're playing it, you're solid.
>Long as you're playing it, you're solid.
I have one as well, I use it occasionally.
It's got great power for the price but everything else about it sucks wiener
still worth the money to me at least, barely
How is this thing for fighting games? Will it run Dreamcast era stuff like Third Strike and Guilty Gear X2, or is that beyond its specs?
Android has bad input lag so probably not good.
>Android has bad input lag
wait, seriously? i just put $200 down for an Odin
It's slightly worse yeah. Android in general is just trash for playing games.
The RP2+ runs Gamecube games to a playable level as well. I think it's pretty neat. You made a good choice.
>RP2+ runs Gamecube games to a playable level as well
i've heard the opposite I guess it depends on your definition of playable
there's newer, better versions available
>emulation device
>d-pad on the bottom
what the frick
I much prefer the Miyoo mini, this shit is cheap as frick, can be pocketed easily and runs a Linux OS (and not the slog that is Android).
How shit are the shoulder buttons on this?
Quite bad, they have a shit angle that forces you to have a weird grip to push them comfortably.

how are gba games on this?

interesting, thanks. I guess I'll just get a gba
Good choice, best device for GBA is either the SP with a flashcard or the RG351 from Ambernic since its resolution is a perfect fit.
