If you’re doing it completely blind I’d imagine you’d need about 100-150hrs to beat the game and thats with missing stuff. My first play through took me 85 I think and thats with some guides
The only quest you could possibly complete without referring to a guide is Ranni's and maybe Frenzied Flame. Shit fricking skips around if you advance too far and doesn't direct you at all
playing souls blind is dumb and is not even how Zaki intended. You just set yourself up to miss out on shit ton of content. The reason things are so obscure in these games is because he wants you to interract with community
To a point. Some quests have you backtracking to areas to find people, and you'd miss them normally just by playing through the game and not stopping to check everywhere after every section. It just saves time.
The percentage complete only increases when you do things that are 100% necessary to reach the end of the game. You can explore and complete every dungeon in Limgrave, Caelid, Leyndell, and Liurnia and still be at zero percent if you haven't beaten any required bosses.
I think there are about 7 vital things you need to do that increase your progress on that screen.
Same. I thought stormveil was a really good dungeon, but yeah this game didn’t really draw me in like demon’s souls or ds1. I dropped it after arriving in caelid. Will probably try it again at some point. The game is big enough that I think I need to go into it with the mindset that I’m playing the elder scrolls or something and not ds4
Try fingers. But whole. Friendly dog, up ahead. You're in for a treat bud, awesome game! Seriously... haven't played a game like this in ages, enjoy every moment of it, the good and the bad! : }
until you start to realize that you keep finding npcs all to never see them again or leave their business unresolved so you rush to play again this time with a guide so you don't let everyone down

by this you mean playing the game as intended. if you need a guide to play a game you should kys unironically

A tediously drawn-out experience

I quit sometime after the fire giant. I usually love souls games but this one for some reason I just do not look back on fondly.

I copied and pasted this comment from reddit but Caelid sucked. Made me want to stop playing for a while before I went back and 100%'d it.

Fat coinpurse ahead? Try but whole
Instructions unclear. Fingers stuck in butthole.
what in the updog is this?
Ummmmm.... I'm new here so sorry but... what's updog?
A true thing of beauty. Hope you are enjoying your experience so far
The GOAT.
Simple as.
Really depends on your play style. I beat the final boss in 30-40 hours and it didn't feel like a slow burner at all.
Just as info for people who didn't play it yet
Tell DeathsNephelim I said frick you.
Add me on psn
You’re going to have so much fun. It’s the only game I’ve played longer than a couple of hours in the last ten or so years.
Why are you reposting reddit posts?
>outing yourself as a redditor

nmu?
It was exactly what I wanted.
Are you seriously taking trophy percentage as game length?
Played the game blind and it took me about 150 hours.
Keep going blind and it will be the best first play-through of a video game you'll ever have.

Dark Souls but open world. Have fun!
