I can beat the shit out of 4+ brutal AIs in Red Alert 2, but in Tiberium Wars I lose against 3 hard AIs.
Tried to go against brutal AI, but it completely destroyed me
tried to go play against other players, I got annihilated even worse than against AI
That's because in most C&Cs you can mass produce tanks and win.
Tiberium Wars actually has counters to this, so you need to use tactics. I'm terrible at it too, I just like making huge armies of tanks so I stick to the older games.
I'm at the awkward skill level where I can effortlessly kill medium AIs, but hard AI rolls over me on most maps. All the timings are different when you step up the difficulty and it throws me off. Doesn't help that I'm a craneshitter.
Same, although that's probably largely by choice since I'm an autist that mainly wants to upgrade and base build. I tend to not find much enjoyment in playing them the "proper" way.
The story of C&C was what made me love the games >Love the little cutscenes and live action briefings directed right at you, like you're the general of this army >That holy shit moment in the NOD missions when Kane just shows up and blows the brains out of the guy you were originally working for >Getting to choose which landmark to Ion Cannon in the ending because you're now a supervillains employee of the month
I felt Tiberian Sun was the most fun game but I hated how they took away the briefings and added some gay sci fi story between characters you were supposed to be playing instead.
I love skirmish mode on Total Annihilation. >Utterly GIGANTIC maps >Decades of custom units because adding them to the game was easy due to all units being these seperate .ufo files >Set it so the only way to kill a team is destroy the commander, making our entire armies cannon fodder drones that don't matter other than being an obsticle to the other commanders >The match devolves in to full on nuclear war because nobody can break through the insane mass of machines crawling around the landscape >Sometimes sneak in a transport and airlift out a commander, kidnapping him and executing him once I'm bored of having the Optimus Prime cosplaying moron wizzing around in the sky over my base.
Shame its so horribly unbalanced. ARM forces are easily superior to CORE, which makes no sense because ARM were meant to be the underdogs against the huge galactic AI empire.
Same, everytime I play sc2 I remember being shit at it and can't keep up with the autism

I love RTS games and play all of them by turtling and crushing waves of enemies upon my defences
This but I also autistically design an aesthetically pleasing and perfectly symmetrical base so that I can crush my enemies in style.
honestly based. starcraft apm and keybinding is playing rts wrong.
Same. The campaign has to be good because I won't be able to find anybody close to my skill level in PvP

Tib Sun was the only rts i ever really liked though many of the CnCs were tolerable.
im shit at rts but i liked the story missions.

agreed, though i didnt mind the tib sun intermissions that much hell it had Michael Biehn and James Earl Jones! a movie grade cast.
I played RTS games since the '90s and I've always favored a turtling approach.
you need proper effort to improve, so that eliminate 99% of brainlets like you.
ez to beat 0 aggro morons like you.
>ez to beat 0 aggro morons like you.
I don't play multiplayer, homosexual. Multiplayer is for people with no friends.
Im not the guy you replied to and i dont think theres anything wrong with singeplayer but that doesnt really make sense anon.
good campaigns really add to an rts. hand crafted maps, unique scenarios, good way to gradually introduce players to different game mechanics
Try Homeworld: Cataclysm
>harder campaign than the original homeworld made by huge fans of the original who didn't think it was difficult enough
Yeah no
I love skirmish mode on Total Annihilation.

i compstomp in broodwar., coh2, dawn of war 1, and steel division 2.
So play singleplayer, dumbass. C&C, starcraft, warcraft 3, dow all habe good sp campaigns
