That's every computer. And if you have a 60hz 4k display, you're an idiot, and you only need 60 fps. There's literally I reason to get 200 fps on a screen that only outputs 60 fps.
Modern laptops mostly don’t throttle but have a voltage limit for a GPU/CPU package combined.
It’s not that different in practice but I feel like it’s a better approach in terms of longevity since components rarely reach scorching temps.
And you can push your GPU/CPU further when only one of them is working hard.
Mobile 3070ti, 3080ti and 4080 laptops are actually a decent value, considering the benefits.

I enjoy the best of both worlds because I'm not a poorgay, but the reason I like playing on a console sometimes is the convenience. I sit down, I start a game, and I can just play it. PC has too many distractions, sometimes things don't work right, you can end up spending time tweaking your performance or trying to solve an issue, with consoles I just play and nothing really gets in the way. If the game runs at 60fps on console and feels good with a controller, I'm set. Also I still like the feeling of earning achievements and trophies even though they don't matter, but Steam achievements just don't have the same affect. All that said, if the game looks and performs much better on PC, I will always choose PC.
Not everyone is capable of building a PC, they should take the Xboxpill since it's practically a locked down gaming PC for $500.

I used a $100 refurbished pc that was a workstation I think for like 3 years before getting a real gaming pc and it was fine. Learned that graphics aren't everything. Had access to more games than an xbox too.
I somehow really doubt your $100 PC could play even a fraction of the games that run on the Series S though. Obviously if you only want a PC to play vampire survivors and stardew valley on it, you can get one for cheap, but a $100 PC that can run Cyberpunk and AC: Valhalla at 60 fps? It's only in the early 2010s when everything became homogenised and 99% of games is on every platform.

With all the peripherals, you probably spend somewhere bewteen 2 and 4k on a good gaming pc. It can much be cheaper if you find used parts or reuse old ones. If you wanna play on the cutting edge of performance, yeah it's gonna cost you. Technically, you could almost build a gaming PC for free and play old games.

I've been saying it since Gen 7. Side note I can't believe the R9 390 I bought years ago for under 300 bucks can still trade blows with consoles, it came about before the PS4 Pro.

Yea this is true. Bloodborne, Gravity Rush 1 & 2, and some of the Infamous games. And the Demon Souls remake. There are probably a few others, but its a short list and gets shorter by the day.

Multiple ps4 emulators exist and work well because the ps4 uses PC architecture.

Playing shooters with controllers is harder but more fun, especially if you‘re not uber tryharding. On pc you can‘t play with controller without being at a massive disadvantage

Anon, I'm a PC Chad, and I think phones suck for everything. I just wanted to point out that (unlike iOS) Android has a decent browsing experience if you know what you're doing.
Consoles are drastically cheaper than a good computer where I live. An Xbox Series X costs $800 whilst the enthusiast build on Logical Increments costs me about 3.7k still went with the PC since I hate console gaming

There's literally no difference between couch gaming with a controller on PC or console. The pc gives you a much larger library because emulators though.

I'm usually only interested in at max 3 different games at a time depending on what my friends are currently playing. My tv and console both turn on with one button, and then I push another button and it's ready. Game chat is much better on console.

Consoles are for people who are super casual about video games, dont have much money to spend, actually 101% believe marketers when they say consoles are basicly super computers and the best way to play any game ever.
Its all about a mindset + never gotten a chance to play on a good computer.
The first part is hard to curb since brand loyalty and other moronations will block out reality itself, the second one is much easier to overcome as you can just let people to try out a good PC.
The second option however can be nullified by not having solved the first problem because a brain dead casul will tell you that consoles are "fine", meaning they are already having enough fun to satisfy their insignificantly low standards.
This is a comfort zone your will not be able to drag people out of because their shriveled up brains will mistake this for you trying to take away their fun.

Idk, I just enjoy playing on PS4/PS5 for some reason, even with my gaming computer.
Computer is nice for MnK focused games or cheap indie sales, but honestly if I’m just playing a fighting game or some AAA RPG I’d rather just play on console. Which is really all I play nowadays.
I think the only time I use my PC for gaming is if I’m just in discord with people who are making me play a game with them.
