What do you mean videogame music?
Do you mean orchestral?
Electronica?
Minimal?
Instrumental?
You do know and are aware that "video game music" is not a genre, and that most videogame OSTs belong to a genre that can safely be researched and appreciated without listening to the same bullshit videogame track over and over again, right?
>What do you mean gay porn? >Do you mean frotting? >Anal? >Mutual masturbation? >You do realize and are aware that "gay pornography" is not a genre, right?
Music made by actual passionate artists to be listened to, not low effort bare minimum tunes some amateur added to their game so they don't have to do as many environmental sound effects.
Turn off a games music and you'll see how weird and empty it is when the only sound effects are from your characters actions. This is why most games have music, it's more of a technical effort to complete the sound design than a creative effort at making something actually enjoyable to listen to by itself.
He means he is not able to appreciate music as a form of artistic expression and can only enjoy the association it proved with the games he likes, you fricking cretin.
>actual music
lmaoing @ your life, imagine letting those homosexuals dictate what you can and can't enjoy
also Colin Stetson is based, forgot about him
Audiophile listening to a ludicrously expensive custom sound system. Many see these systems as placebo effect, they can't be distinguished from normal audio equipment in double blind tests.
>they can't be distinguished from normal audio equipment in double blind tests.
Yeah just like how you can't tell the difference between 30fps and 144.
>you can't tell the difference between 30fps and 144.
The correct analogy would be 60 is undistiguishable from 144, which is true.
A medium range ~$200 audiophile setup is undistinguishable from a $2k one
/v/, let's be honest about this meme. with so many games having actual composers and studio quality standards, is it still weird to solely listen to video game music? if we take Halo: Reach as an example, some of the best gaming music we've ever heard. If you played it for a non gamer, 100% of the people would never guess it was from a video game.
I feel like when you guys post this shit, you're making it sound like game music people are blasting 8bit megaman remixes, or some other cheesy nintendo themes.
I'm pretty sure it is because the average person doesn't listen to videogame music and one of the most common conversation starters/fillers is about what music you listen, so if you only listen to videogame music you're gonna look like weirdass moron. Not like you don't already look that way, but still. >inb4 caring about what other people think
yes if you interact with people either at work or school, your social appearance highly affects your relationships.
1. That is what normalgays are picturing when you say it, they think you mean chiptunes and midis or some shit.
2. It is in fact pretty weird if that is ALL you listen to. Like really, nothing else at all? I get the appeal of game OSTs but they are mainly there to provide a certain atmosphere than to be actively listened to.
Maybe it's time you stop giving that much of a frick about what normies(or even worse, Gankergays) think about your music taste.
If somebody is going to get judgy about something this personal and harmless, you probably don't want to spend any time with them anyway.
You like rap "music" and are under the age of 26.
Wrong on both accounts try again.
Yeah, that's right.
why doesn't he lower the volume?
>I solely listen to bassboosted remixes
most "real" music is shit
>I solely listen to video game music
How did you know???
How did I know that I listen do video game music?
Not telling you the secret

Keep coping, earlet.

what
>30fps and 144
literally anybody can tell the difference. not even the guy you replied to, but I accept your concession.

Clearly you haven't spent too much time here.

Based moron.
His name is Tyll and he was a headphone reviewer. He was reviewing a $2750 pair of headphones that sounded like crap.
