I jumped from NMH2 to NMH3. Did I missed something important by not playing TSA?
I know the kid that shows up says that he is from TSA, but he kinda doesn't matter in 3.
It's my second favorite game in the series, but if I had to assume why one wouldn't like it then: >they don't mesh with the new gameplay >the story can come off as self-masturbatory
It introduces a couple character, but the only one who matter's to 3's plot is Damon.
is this a thread about Yiik or No More Heroes?
Both. I can't wait for "No More Heroes Forever: Featuring Alex from the Alex May Yiik series."
This was nothing more than a collection of shitty Unreal engine experiments wrapped up in a package and sold to us for 60 USD. The gameplay was shallow (it was just a minigame collection, after all), the story wrapped up in miles of visual-novel style dialogue, and the previous games' signature combat was missing entirely.
It was a dire warning that NMH3 was going to be trash.
Because the gameplay is complete garbage >but-
No. You run around and mindlessly swing weightless attacks against polygonal blobs, it's almost like a mechanical parody of action games. They would've been better served making each metagame play like its actual genre but that'd be a bit of an undertaking I'll admit.
Originally I was mad that we didn't get an actual new NMH game but once we got NMH3 it was so shitty that I retroactively liked TSA more
I enjoyed travis strikes again as a kind of buffer and I had fun playing the game with my brother
What the frick kind of shirt is Travis wearing?
>he doesn't know
What anon?
Don't open. This forbidden knowledge is bound to make even the strongest men YIIK out
I'm YIIKING OUT! Also it's weird that NMH had referenced this game
NMH>TSA>NMH 2>NMH 3
It was fine.
Meh, NMH hasn't been good since the first one when it had a message, all other has been Travis becoming some sort of superhero
That's why TSA is the best of the sequels. It also even had its own message instead of saying what the first did over again.
It's somehow the second best NMH game. NMH was definitely a huge fricking accident considering every other suda51 game since

Just some really good cutscenes but you can just look those up
The CEO guys was one of the villains in TSA

I think TSA is one of the games where I think it being self masturbatory makes sense for the story.

Why not both?
wait I know TSA had a bunch of indie shirts but really? A yiik one?
You forget YIIK was hyped to be the next big thing in the indie scene (at least in the indie creators circle)
They talked with a lot of popular indie creators like toby fox and even got callum bowen to make a song for YIIK

It wasn't that bad anon
It also wasn't sold at $60 lmao. Dunno why tards have to lie all the goddamn time

Was it really that bad? I had fun playing it with a friend.
Throwing a ball around is fun with a friend.
>Because the gameplay is complete garbage
The same could be said about almost every Grasshopper game, anon.
Nah, even nmh1 although simple actually feels good to play.
Most people liked the first ones gameplay as the highlight. Everything else outside of characters is where it gets dinged...
It's a shitty top down shooter, no amount of weeb pandering and inside baseball video game terms is going to change that.
Dr. Juvenile was hot tho.
It's made as a handheld spin-off and most people were expecting a mainline game.
Yeah that's fair but it isn't that bad of a game
I'm going to Alex!
NO ALEX DON'T SAY IT
y'know
this is gonna be a cursed image but alex YIIK looks like ronnie mcnutt
Now that you say that I can kind of see it
>google his name to jog memory
>find out someone tried to make an fnf mod of him
Tried? They did make multiple versions.
because it played like dogshit
Most people that played it from start to finish do like TSA though. Did you mean to post NMH3 or NMH2 or something?
Not exactly NMH related, but the Lollipop Chainsaw remaster is getting a release date soon.
Oh yeah forgot about that coming out soon
I say that about NMH3. I still don't care for the alien angle and lack of actual levels but overall it was ok.
Suda 51 games is an edge lord and his games are cringeworthy juvenile.
