I remember this was supposed to capcom's next big franchise and like 12 peolle bought it and it was never acknowledged again. Except as a costume in that Wii Golf game.
The wii's library was a fricking dumpster fire. Even Nintendo's official titles went to shit during that era. Just about the only decent hidden gem is Zack and wiki.
Trash console, even the Wii U had a better library.
to be fair most of them don't qualify as underappreciated on Ganker, but still
>Capcom puts on a vs game on the fricking Wii >it's actually very good >no plans for international release >people beg for one anyway >shockingly enough the powers that be at Capcom decide, 'frick it, let's release this fighting game outside of Japan where nobody will know who the frick these people are' >the international release cuts one character from the initial roster and all the music had to be redone >in turn Capcom gave international players five new characters to play with >Capcom goes on record to say of Tatsunoko vs Capcom's international sales exceeded expectations >license is now dead so the game can no longer be sold anywhere
I'm taking this game to my fricking grave. It had no reason to exist, yet it does, and it turned me to one of my favorite characters in fighting games, Alex. Also Frank West is a fricking gift, and I can't believe he got to be in both this as well as Marvel vs Capcom 3.
I remember everyone hyping up the sequel, saying it was so much better, but I just couldn't get into it in the same way. I could never explain why, but I'd just rather play the first game
I remember Spyborgs because people said it looked like generic kiddy shit from previews so they tried to change it and didn't even make it that much better
Wii is a trash pile if you judge it exclusively by the selection you could find at Walmart. You had to actually pay attention to hear about like 75% of its good games because of the damn console's reputation as a casual machine, very few people tended to listen when it got some decent shit. I'm still a little mad about Winter and Sadness, those looked like they could've been fine horror games.
Yeah when you looked at the Wii games section and it was 90% shovelware party game wagglan shit I wouldn't blame anyone for instantly writing the whole console off.
>ninjabread man is actually pretty awesome

What's wrong with it.
>wii is home to a treasure trove of underappreciated games
name some

It's crazy to me that Fatal Frame 4 finally escaped Wii this year.

Shit really deserves a Switch port or something, it's a solid point-and-click.
what's the one in the middle?
Fatal Frame 4, which got a remaster on pretty much everything earlier this year.
For me, it's Rock 'N' Roll Adventures
When you get fed nothing but shit you'll soon learn to appreciate the taste

>Tatsunoko vs. Capcom
>Sin & Punishment 2
>Monster Hunter Tri
>No More Heroes
>MadWorld
>Trauma Center: Second Opinion
>Pandora's Tower
>Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
>Fragile Dreams
>Red Steel 2
>Elebits
>The Conduit (inb4)
Nah, Wii had some decent under the radar games.
There's a bunch of third party wii games nintendo could've funded a revival of but they're too focused on their own shit to care.
>MHTri
So fricking good.
Shame that 3U ended up being more popular on the 3DS, I always hated the controls on that version.

We got cheated out of a new Zool game.
I had a shitload of fun with this game when I was 12
I remember building two pirate ships and having them shoot eachother, took forever to get working right.
This was fun. Shame about the sequel.
man I loved boom blox as well
I remember everyone hyping up the sequel, saying it was so much better, but I just couldn't get into it in the same way. I could never explain why, but I'd just rather play the first game

I remember Spyborgs because people said it looked like generic kiddy shit from previews so they tried to change it and didn't even make it that much better
De blob was one of the worst games I ever played
wii probably had a lot of good games like every console, which are hidden gems. people just want to be homosexuals about it. (no surprise here.)

debatably underappreciated but a gigabased Wii classic nonetheless
