we are certainly lucky to live right now because even if most new games are shit there is pretty much nothing stopping us from playing the old games that have been released already
>finally have the hardware to make skyrim's cities and towns actually the size they should have been >now the game actually looks like it came out in 2014 >all the gameplay faults and balancing has been fixed for most part >all the titty and skimpy mods a man could want
eyup
Is there a fleshed out quest mod that lets me kill that corrupt b***h in the town with the Thieves guild and then turn it into a law abiding good town? I haven't played skyrim in 10 years but I remember the thing that made me drop it was that I could do nothing about the rampant corruption in that town.
>Death Stranding >Baba is You >Control >Breath of the Wild >Mario Odyssey >Hades >Disco Elysium >Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice >Nioh >Cuphead >ARMS >Dragon Quest XI
Not because current games are better than before, but because you can play old ones at 4k144 and don't have to wait for them to come out since there are so many
nah 1991-2005 will never be topped but I agree with you at least that games have become better in the last 3-4 years. its just that the bad examples are REALLY bad now
How can games be better if games don't even come out anymore?
Back in the day there would be like 5 really great games coming out every fricking month for each console and PC and it was honestly overwhelming just how many fricking good games used to come out.
Nowadays you maybe get like one really good game like Elden Ring every few years and 2 decent games every year.
>I think
FPWP
Depends on the metric, but I think they could be better than they already are.

Nice bait. Now name some good games.
Return of the Obra Dinn.
Stray

I know you're baiting but still
I'm baiting like the 97% of people who gave it a positive review on Steam, sure.
For developers? yes.
for the consumers? frick no.
Uh. For developers maybe 10-15 years ago before the Steam floodgates opened and a hundred games release each day.
How old are you?
Based opinion, Anon. Keep the pessimist Black folk comin'
Could you elaborate on the specifics and factors that in your opinion make games better than ever?

dunno I never really checked
I'm still exploring most of the vanilla game's world but also I have added some towns and stuff from tes arena
indie games have never been better, AA games are about as good as ever. AAA games have literally, LITERALLY never been worse.
Shit taste
Pretty weird since there's only been one worthwhile release this year.
Based. People who don't play video games will disagree.

All released in the last 5 years, all pure SOVL
Didn't even mention one of my favorite games of all time Kingdom Come Deliverance. Jesus Christ be praised
13 decent to good games in 5 years.
No you don't.
All the old games still exist, so aside from the online multiplayer scene, yes
>I think video games have never been better.
That both means video games are good and have never been good
I think otherwise, whipper snapper
Your time is up, old man.

You're allowed to be wrong
