None of the problems with this game stem from any of the shit you're screeching about. The problem is it's core design is the ubisoft formula. Leaving an empty boring open world that's just a collectathon but none of the stuff is worth collecting.

The character writing and sense of place. She really did do a good job drawing you into the world and her characters were very fun and believable, especially for a kids book series... that being said, the overarching story was mid at best and got terrible towards the end as she just didn't know what to do with it and certain villain motivations came out of absolutely nowhere.

that's my deal though, I was a grown man by the time they came out. So for about a quarter century I've had to watch people pick up childish things and NEVER LET THEM GO once they hit adulthood. HP is of course not the only thing where this happens, weebs are fricking terrible about it too
The first two games were genuinely alright, but then something along the lines of WB asking EA for the games to be more in line with the movies happened, and the series never recovered.

It was going fine until they went full GG narrative. They deleted all their non-PC content and published article after article about how clown world is great before clown world was a thing. Everyone in the comments went "WTF is this shit" and the banhammer came down like thunder. It was not the only one but it comes to my mind everytime because it was too fast, too agressive.

The game has the worst combat I've ever endured. It's paced so fricking bizzarely that it makes zero sense. It's like they tried to split the different between the moronic button mashing in Dragon Age 2 and the slow, deliberate pacing in Dragon Age 1, and wound up with the godawful shit we got in Dragon Age 3.
Button mashing a lower shoulder button for basic attacks is fricking unacceptable and whoever designed it that way should be publicly executed
