Not sure if the absolute best of the decade because we've had a few really, really good ones come out. It is a real masterpiece, though. 1.0 was amazing and it has only gotten better
The level of immersion and gameplay with this is second to none. Not to mention the visuals. Fricking amazing game. It has taken me 3 playthroughs to really get it

I can only rem, ember one, maybe two missions that fit this criteria. The rest are garbage like "Kill X NPC in Y area for a reward".
>and barely see any of it
what does that even mean? ill give you a hint. all of those scanner missions are marked on your map. roughly between every 2 points there is something there. the closer it is to a mission the more likely its connected. but not always, but if you keep track of names, there are a few stories that span the whole city.
>did they patch this in? It wasn't there when I played at release
they were there since day 1.
>The side missions barely worked and mostly felt like filler content
if you were playing on console, i have no idea what your experience was.
in a way it is filler content, but V is a Merc and its Merc work. Similar to monster hunts in Witcher. they provide the player with more background to whats going on in the city that connect to some of the main story missions.
like how before you even start the story you can uncover the tygers and scavs kidnapping ring, which they use for filming snuff braindances. And when the actors die they extract their cyberware and sell them to blackmarket rippers like Charles in Watson and Fingers on JigJig. one of the cops investigating the ring is warned by another cop to drop the story since there are a number of missions that show he is working for the tygers along with the rest of the police to smuggle drugs in their cop cars around the city. in Charles' rippershop you can find a databank owned by the naked woman they captured and V saved in the first gameplay trailers/one of the first missions. the expansion expands on that too. im just scratching the surface, but there is a lot of little things like this all over the city.
Sadly, RDR2 is one of the most boring, u fun games ever made. In my opinion pf course. I tried forcing myself to play it based on the visuals alone, but movie-like gameplay is not my thing.
With the 2.0 patch Cyberpunk 2077 is Witcher 3 but with decent loot, excellent gameplay, excellent combat systems, excellent levelling system, etc.

I don't understand any criticisms after the 2.0 patch. The Witcher 3 crowd already ate shit, after 2 years the same studio managed to cobble a good game, one which is Witcher 3 but not actually, you know, absolutely moronic, and they somehow still have the galls to not like it.
It's not surprising, the Witcher 3 crowd is a cult that couldn't really tell why Witcher 3 is good, beyond it has a good narration, but they should be happy CDPR managed to make (after 2 years) Witcher 3 but actually good. And still they shit on it.
Witcher 3 is an Ubisoft open world. One of the worst case of Ubisoft open world, one of the first, if not the first, and not made by Ubisoft, sure, but it's still the bloated template of an Ubisoft open world game, somehow worse.
Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 isn't an Ubisoft open game. Levelling is cool, the fights are cool, the gameplay is cool, the loot system is cool. It has mostly redeemed itself.
It really tickle me something fierce than the same people that idolize Witcher 3 (despite it being an Ubisoft open world game) somehow shit on CP 2077 2.0, when CDPR, legitimately, fixed most of the issues.
Folks. Use your damn brain. CDPR improved. Just admit it.
Fans were disappointed by the lacking in story, not in gameplay. I think Cyberpunk has the shortest main story of all the CDPR games so far, including Witcher 2 which was short because it branched into two distinct storylines halfway through the game.
There just was no narrative ambition with it, and the objective gameplay improvements were hidden for a long time because it was a buggy mess until 2.0
I am one of those people who thought Witcher series was overrated as frick (especially 2 and 3) but I really enjoyed Cyberpunk 2077, which I've just finished a few weeks ago.
Atmosphere is 15/10, probably the best city atmosphere in any video game to date.
Human traversal is 10/10, every other game that doesn't have double jumps and dashing feels outdated.
Melee gameplay is 9/10, I loved playing with Katana and smashing shit with my fist. Only dropped a point because it felt a bit too easy at times, like you didn't even need to block shit at some point.
Phantom Liberty main story is 8/10, beats the regular main story by a mile.
Stealth is 7/10. I liked it but it was far too optional and not rewarding, it should've been a bigger more integral part of the game. I dropped one point specifically because there's some missions where you can do perfect stealth gameplay and it still forces you into combat afterwards via cutscenes or bullshit scenarios.
Side quests are 7/10. I liked the gigs but maybe there should've been a bit more meat to their bones. Regular side quests were decent, albeit too short for some quest chains (like the one with the mayor - great quest but ended too soon). Removed a point because some quests had cynical endings (all choices are bad, this is cybnerpunk hurr durr).
Hacking is 6/10. The minigame got annoying eventually but I liked it more than other typical hacking minigames. Didn't really care about the quickhack stuff, I also still don't understand how the tracing system really works.
Gunplay is 5/10. Again, it's serviceable but I don't care as I focused on melee and stealth. None of the guns except Johnny's felt good to me.
Main story is 5/10. Pretty awful if you start thinking about it for more than a minute, the lifepaths didn't matter, saved by some decent characters and multiple endings.
Car gameplay is 3/10. Only reason it's not 1/10 is because it's cool to drive in a bike once in a while. Objectively hurts the game.
Total 7/10.
Yes, I was talking about Gothic 1. Although for G2 there was the original version and the revamped version with the addon. The original G2 was not that bad (but still doesn't compare to G1 in terms of story and atmosphere) but the Gothic 2 with Night of the Raven addon is overtuned as frick and it only appeals to Fromslop fanboys because "muh difficulty".
Actually once the story started making sense to me I was onboard with Reeves' presence in it. Pretty cool, really. Also love that Grimes is in the game, but she doesn't exactly look like herself
>she doesn't exactly look like herself
Yeah, one her public outfits would look fine in the setting.
Why even take her for a character voice over? She's not an actress. Lady Gaga is more of an actress than her, and her outfits will look like they are at home in the setting as well.
>The Maestrom girl. You know which one.
I really don't. Please enlighten me though I must say, the game has disappointing ass. Also only one pussy texture for some reason.
>muh Shazam
It's a fact, it being used as a talking point by discord trannies doesn't matter. It's a very weak shooter with simplistic features, kone of the RPGs elements promised during the campaign, a bad story with le Keanu Reeves injected into the campaign for heckin wholesome chungus plebbit approval, horrible physic, horrible driving, pitiful civilians ( routine, animations, ai ), pitiful cops ( they didn't fix the horrific and amateurish way the cops are handled but simply made them spawn farther away from the player LMAO ) and the only "cool" thing about the game are the flashy neons light and gay tracing technology if you're into taking screenshots.
Very useful if you want to shill it to morons obsessed about graffiks, but won't change a thing about how thin and weak the gameplay is.
it's fine on the first playthrough, mediocre on the second. the problem is the looter shooter elements still aren't interesting and combat is just landing headshots.
>game sold over 20 million copies >he thinks there is any need to shill it

have a nice day you dumb troon. Talking about one of my favorite games in recent years does not equate shilling. Don't you talk about your favorite games? Do you even play videogames or are you just here to fling shit around?
I last played before they even implemented the cloaking system and anything apart from stealth revolver headshots or stealth katana beheading was definitely crap
i did try that and you're supposed to land headshots with that anyway. i have literally tried every weapon and perk in this game and the only things that're fun are the throwing knives, revolvers and the smart sniper rifle
perfect game. engaging combat, beautiful visuals, deep character customization, killer soundtrack and a great story with some of the best acting in video game history.
I unironically feel sorry for zoomers who can't leave this game behind. I understand when you are addicted to an escapist fantasy world, there are people, mostly gen Xers and millennials, who feel the same about the Neuromancer and the Sprawl trilogy, decades after they were abandoned by Gibson and deemed juvenile and obsolete even by the author himself. People feel like that about neo-noir cyberpunk aesthetics in general. But this game's world is just too shallow and kinda cringy. The junk food equivalent of escapism.
I wish they came back to expand on the true end like they wanted to before they released the game. And do some small fixes too like karma sometimes resetting
so far its the best looking game ive ever played.
the characters and environments are beautiful.
pathtracing made it even better
gunplay is competent and in some ways better than shooter franchises like battlefield.
driving is also great if you like semi arcadey driving that doesnt feel slow and boring like a real driving game. gta5-children will have trouble since the physics model is closer to gta4 with high end cars.
world building through interconnected lore in side missions all over the city is the best ive ever seen. (people with attention issues will not notice this)
facial animations and character writing make characters feel like people (autistic people will not notice this)
the endings paired with the experience of a long playthrough can crush your soul (the grief people feel can cause butthurt, it made them feel loss)
I'm about halfway through the game (haven't met Hanako yet) but here are my thoughts:
>10/10 friend character (I mean Goro but Jackie is good too) >9/10 writing >8/10 visuals (maybe it's my GPU because I can manage 75 FPS with DLSS and raytracing but everything else low) >8/10 voice acting (female V tries too hard to sound tough; I like the announcements in various languages esp. the Japanese voice; wholesome chungus at his peak) >7/10 character creator (need bigger breasts for my anime katana girl build) >6/10 gunplay (not enough variety and most battles are too easy) >5/10 driving (some cool vehicles but the handling sucks) >4/10 quality (still have bugs e.g. I have to use a controller because I can't shoot people with the mouse) >0/10 waifus (only surly Latinas)
It's a bug. I have good aim with mouse but in Cyberpunk firing a gun only works if I don't aim at an enemy, or I use the controller. Before I tried my controller I had to aim away from the target, hold down fire, and then aim (or use smart guns). Nobody else seems to have this bug but I play in a VM which might be part of it.
yeah i think its unique to you but i suspect its due to weapon sway that occurs when aiming down sight. they turned it up with 2.0. there can be instances where it feels like you are aiming at a target while hipfiring, and as you bring the sights up the idle sway turns on and if dont account for it, your first shot might miss. since your setup is unique, maybe its having a greater impact on you.

What's the point. Just make it a straight story chapter based game with instanced worlds and they'll save money, time and performance with smaller scale assets
For what it is, I think the current iteration of Cyberpunk is fantastic. It's not an RPG and it's underdeveloped as hell, but what's there is very good. Cyberpunk 2 is by far my most anticipated game. If they just take the same map but actually fill it out, it will be a top-tier game.
Of course. What do you think will surpass Cyberpunk or has the potential to? There was a time when I would have said TES VI bit let's be honest - that ain't gonna happen.
there isnt a single cool character in this game and its gameplay is boring as frick.
just the thought if hearing rogue panam or judith speak again or having to go through a braindance sequence makes my stomach churn.
Based opinion, I feel the same.
The writing and characterization is very infantile in this game. Why is slav writing always so cringy, I have no idea. Embarrassing.
I wanted to like panam, she's not bad looking but god I want to punch her everytime she opens her mouth. Other women are also insufferable b***hes and rogue being the only tolerable is already a hag
>you can create custom character >there are different outfits and shit >you can never see your character unless maybe youre on a bike which drives and feels like shit
how people do not find this moronic is beyond me
forget decade, its my favorite game of all time
I cannot think of another AAA that clearly has devs who still have passion and create a great story and characters. >but it's le buggy
I don't give a frick
Name ONE just ONE genre where this game can even be considered good, much less great >RPG >FPS >GTA clone >stealth
not any of those, it's not good at those, keep looking
GTA is a good GTA clone, and it is a genre. It lets you wreck chaos and play out your own little stories in the open world that dynamically reacts to you. Cyberpunk even after all the patches has worse open world gameplay than flipping Mafia 2
No, just desperate eastern european gays who defend games like these out of some sort of misplaced national pride.
See the other thread about kingdom come deliverance, another garbo game that gets a lot of slavshits butthurt about it.
I enjoyed it but it's certainly not that good. The game we got is fine and all but it's not really the RPG they claimed it would be, there's an insane amount of wasted potential. What we have is more like an open-world FPS with stat points that let you decide how you kill enemies.
The decisions you make about your character have effectively 0 impact on the story or how the character interacts with the world in a narrative sense. If you put points into being the best hacker possible, you can't do anything new, you just get combat perks, you can't use your alleged skill to try to solve your problem as presented by the story. You cannot join factions, can't become a cop or Trauma Team member or whatever, can't join any of the gangs, can't become a corpo and take a different route on the "inside" towards saving yourself, can't get a Trauma Team subscription or something like that and so on. You put points in things which decide what you do in combat but what you make your character has basically no impact on the world or story. This game could've been amazing if it had actually allowed you to build a character and make decisions on what you can and cannot do based on that.
My gf absolutely loves this game for some reason. I've been meaning to get her into better vidya. She seems to like it for the dystopia/ trans-humanism so what would you anons say are some of the better Fallout and modern Deus Ex games?

Total 7/10.
Name one better rpg than cyberkink
Spoilers: you can't
Gothic 2 here again.
Gothic 2 is not even the best game in the Gothic franchise.
Like there are only 2 good Gothic, Gothic 1 and Gothic 2...
Was Gothic 2 the original Souls game?
G1 is nice for the alien atmosphere but G2 is the fuller more expanded game.
It really is like FO1 and FO2.

Actually once the story started making sense to me I was onboard with Reeves' presence in it. Pretty cool, really. Also love that Grimes is in the game, but she doesn't exactly look like herself
Swear to god I had no idea she was Grimes until you mentioned it just now. I thought her song in Phantom Liberty was Grimes-like tho
Yeah I lagged in realizing it was her too lol. Apparently she performs in Phantom Liberty so I need to fricking play it asap
>she doesn't exactly look like herself
Yeah, one her public outfits would look fine in the setting.
Why even take her for a character voice over? She's not an actress. Lady Gaga is more of an actress than her, and her outfits will look like they are at home in the setting as well.
Grimes is so fricking based I can barely stand it
Take your pills.
Johnny was alright, the mistake was making him the main story.
I agree it’s fun as fucj and no gay magic or wizards
People who say cyberpunk bad should look at how many people play it daily
CDPR needs to keep developing the Red Engine because that thing is amazing
they are going for the unreal from now
It would have been a better game if they would have used UE to begin with. It is a better game.
It's way too short. I was expecting it to be long as Witcher 3
GTA V is better.
Cyberpunk is secondary to GTA V
Mine is BG3 sad to say
Both are buggy and janky, but also fun and even innovative, but CP2077 doesn't have much replayability
>CP2077 doesn't have much replayability
There is so much you can miss, on my 3rd play I'm seeing things I didn't before. I plan to play it many more times as well
Pretty sure New Vegas has more than 2 companions dawg
>Pretty sure New Vegas has more than 2 companions dawg
I'm talking about the system where you can have 2 companions going with you.
I guess but the main story is way too short. No doubt there's a lot of side crap and I last played in like April 2021 so it's a different game now
>CP2077 now develop into a crazy zoom-zoom fanbase
I kneel.
I still say it's an OK game, but not super good nor super bad.
It's up there. Easily in my Top 3.
Absolute masterpiece. Dream game for me. And drowning in preem ass.
>And drowning in preem ass.
Is it ever.
Favourite ass?
Judy ass
The Maestrom girl. You know which one.
>The Maestrom girl. You know which one.
I really don't. Please enlighten me
though I must say, the game has disappointing ass. Also only one pussy texture for some reason.
Panam no contest.
im so mad we didnt get to have more segments with her, such a waste of a beautiful model
Cyberpunk 2077, Baldurs Gate 3, Disco Elysium, Jagged Alliance 3, Noita and ECHO are my favorite games as of late.
Shill your poor men's GTA clone somewhere else.
Wow some homosexual is trying to bring shzamtroon talking points back? Really?
Now frick off shill.
it's fine on the first playthrough, mediocre on the second. the problem is the looter shooter elements still aren't interesting and combat is just landing headshots.
>shooter elements still aren't interesting and combat is just landing headshots
Now this is someone who did not play the game.
i played through this turd 4 times, twice after phantom liberty you moronic zoomer
You are a homosexual and a moron. Cyberpunk 2077 has the best first person RPG combat out there.
it's borderlands tier
it's below far cry
bait.jpg
stop shilling your mediocre game here pavel
>game sold over 20 million copies
>he thinks there is any need to shill it
so why are you shilling it then stanislav
have a nice day you dumb troon. Talking about one of my favorite games in recent years does not equate shilling. Don't you talk about your favorite games? Do you even play videogames or are you just here to fling shit around?
then you have shit taste you insane homosexual
On Hard it kinda do be like that, even Normal if you stumble into a slightly overleveled area
You are just bad at the game.
>flashbangs exist
>environmental *traps* exist
>a ton of other cybertools and implants
I last played before they even implemented the cloaking system and anything apart from stealth revolver headshots or stealth katana beheading was definitely crap
>combat is just landing headshots
Somebody didn't unlock bullet deflect/parry on their V. Mindblowing mechanic is mindlblowing. Most fun I've had play vidya in like a long time...
i did try that and you're supposed to land headshots with that anyway. i have literally tried every weapon and perk in this game and the only things that're fun are the throwing knives, revolvers and the smart sniper rifle
>dead world
>trash combat
>choices don't matter
ìt's mid as frick, are you moronic
I don't even remember aiming in the game, smart shotgun is my jam.
sorry, but cyberjunk has no sovl. it can't be anything but the disappointment of the decade
The biggest heist of the decade you mean.
Shouldn't have sucked dick on release. Slogged through that shit the first time. Not gonna waste more time replaying it.
>Shouldn't have sucked dick on release
Obviously needed a bit more cook time, blame their corpo
perfect game. engaging combat, beautiful visuals, deep character customization, killer soundtrack and a great story with some of the best acting in video game history.
10/10
>some of the best acting in video game history
Based. Also the mocap
How about you gain some brouzouf and come back with your legs OK?
How about them coming back with another game?
I wish they came back to expand on the true end like they wanted to before they released the game. And do some small fixes too like karma sometimes resetting
Marvel's Spider-man™ 2 is better.
so far its the best looking game ive ever played.
the characters and environments are beautiful.
pathtracing made it even better
gunplay is competent and in some ways better than shooter franchises like battlefield.
driving is also great if you like semi arcadey driving that doesnt feel slow and boring like a real driving game. gta5-children will have trouble since the physics model is closer to gta4 with high end cars.
world building through interconnected lore in side missions all over the city is the best ive ever seen. (people with attention issues will not notice this)
facial animations and character writing make characters feel like people (autistic people will not notice this)
the endings paired with the experience of a long playthrough can crush your soul (the grief people feel can cause butthurt, it made them feel loss)
I have contemplated trying out another path but I will probably go Nomad, romance Judy and do the Nomad ending just like the first time around
I swear posts like this feel like they were written by an AI.
why?
this isnt the first time someone on Ganker thought my opinions were ai.
if you havent tried corpo yet, go corpo. that V has the most insightful responses and best jackie.
This is not BG3.
I like both Cyberpunk 2077 and Baldur's Gate 3. Let's not fight.
I'm about halfway through the game (haven't met Hanako yet) but here are my thoughts:
>10/10 friend character (I mean Goro but Jackie is good too)
>9/10 writing
>8/10 visuals (maybe it's my GPU because I can manage 75 FPS with DLSS and raytracing but everything else low)
>8/10 voice acting (female V tries too hard to sound tough; I like the announcements in various languages esp. the Japanese voice; wholesome chungus at his peak)
>7/10 character creator (need bigger breasts for my anime katana girl build)
>6/10 gunplay (not enough variety and most battles are too easy)
>5/10 driving (some cool vehicles but the handling sucks)
>4/10 quality (still have bugs e.g. I have to use a controller because I can't shoot people with the mouse)
>0/10 waifus (only surly Latinas)
>I can't shoot people with the mouse
are you new to pc?

>No proper car racing, it's just a joke with the game setting you up to win regardless

What's the point. Just make it a straight story chapter based game with instanced worlds and they'll save money, time and performance with smaller scale assets
these girls should have been waifu-able
Why did she do it? We could have been good together.
>If they just take the same map but actually fill it out, and go back to the Red Engine it will be a top-tier game.
Agreed
there's like 6 years left of this decade
Of course. What do you think will surpass Cyberpunk or has the potential to? There was a time when I would have said TES VI bit let's be honest - that ain't gonna happen.
Obviously GTAVI.
Cybercringe is the next GTA waiting room.
Wow, Cyberpunk's magnificence made me forget all about GTA. What the hell...
Cyberpunk 2
there isnt a single cool character in this game and its gameplay is boring as frick.
just the thought if hearing rogue panam or judith speak again or having to go through a braindance sequence makes my stomach churn.
Based opinion, I feel the same.
The writing and characterization is very infantile in this game. Why is slav writing always so cringy, I have no idea. Embarrassing.
I wanted to like panam, she's not bad looking but god I want to punch her everytime she opens her mouth. Other women are also insufferable b***hes and rogue being the only tolerable is already a hag
>rogue being the only tolerable is already a hag
The cyber Alt is the only decent female character of the game. Because she is not real.
there isn’t a single cool person place or thing in eastern europe
I would have buyed it if there was a rougelite mod.
>you can create custom character
>there are different outfits and shit
>you can never see your character unless maybe youre on a bike which drives and feels like shit
how people do not find this moronic is beyond me
this is why im a nudist irl. i cant live life in 3rd person, i cant see myself wearing expensive clothes, so why bother
forget decade, its my favorite game of all time
I cannot think of another AAA that clearly has devs who still have passion and create a great story and characters.
>but it's le buggy
I don't give a frick
Game of the decade is rdr2 though
>RDR2
>released 2018
Nope, last decade's goat was a tie: TES V and Fallout 4
delusional rockstar drone
>delusional rockstar drone
This summarizes Johnny Silverhand nicely.
Name ONE just ONE genre where this game can even be considered good, much less great
>RPG
>FPS
>GTA clone
>stealth
not any of those, it's not good at those, keep looking
>Name ONE just ONE genre where this game can even be considered good
Name one where GTA is good at.
GTA is a good GTA clone, and it is a genre. It lets you wreck chaos and play out your own little stories in the open world that dynamically reacts to you. Cyberpunk even after all the patches has worse open world gameplay than flipping Mafia 2
Is this some stealth marketing thread?
All the arguments do not make sense.
I love it
My gf absolutely loves this game for some reason. I've been meaning to get her into better vidya. She seems to like it for the dystopia/ trans-humanism so what would you anons say are some of the better Fallout and modern Deus Ex games?
Women are moronic so it makes sense she'd like this trash. I recommend more trash to feed your trash monster
>I've been meaning to get her into better vidya.
>better vidya
Unfortunately for you that is not possible.
It's style over substance, so a perfect thing for girls. They only thing that drives them away is unachievable standards of female beauty.
The writing and story in this game is hot garbage and the open world is empty. 6/10, huge step down from The Witcher 3.
The only thing more like naans that cybershit stans are Steam Deck Black folk.
Could you repeat that in English?
i'm enjoying it, but I don't about best of the decade
It is one of the best first person action RPGs ever made.
t. Homosexual pedophile.
Why is the man so small or the bike so big?
