They showed off crimson desert ages ago and there's still nothing to be shown for that. Pearl Abyss only really has animations and graphics to it's repertoire. We haven't seen good combat or systems come out of BDO yet and its' latest expansion is janky. What can you really expect from a studio like that? Whatever they're doing with their engine comes at the cost of responsive mechanics, seamless LOD management, and good netcode. Animal Crossing has better "life skills" than BDO ffs.

Biggest red flag was that no one ever explained what the frick this game was about, they just showed things and every normal person was like "????".
Even in the developer interview I don't think they ever explained anything, they just talked about what they wanted out of the game.
I can only guess that it's an open world monster hunter type game with kids but half the clips are dedicated to flying and skating and they never said that so idk what the frick it's supposed to be.
They explained, the issue was they completely scrapped what the original idea was (f2p open world MMO focused on monster catching and battling) and replaced it with an action game with monster companions, so lots of people, when the teasers came out, were under the assumption it was still an MMO as that's what the PA website said. After the second trailer came out, it was confirmed it was turned into a more action oriented game where monsters were companions and became weapon types and stuff instead of being battled directly.
True, all their other games are janky as frick and unfinished. Its a shame. I really like the concept. It'll explode in popularity from streamers overreacting to funny animal people shooting people but then the honey moon phase will end and you're left with a subpar gunplay and terrible performance.
