I don't understand this mindset. Random encounters and turn based combat don't go well with loading times.
Many of the best RPGs ever are on cart formar. It's not about how many FMVs you can fit on 3 or 3 CDs
Why N64? But OK, I liked Ogre Battle 64, Shiren 2, Super Robot Wars 64, Paper Mario and Hybrid Heaven.
However, I was talking about older systems, like NES, Mega Drive and SNES.
No, it's one of those games /m/ cries about for being a never ever for EOPs.
It's also a pretty good entry, has some cool martial arts-inspired OGs and a great G Gundam inclusion.
Probably the worst opinion ever posted.
RPGs became garbage when they tried to become massive blockbuster spectacles that rivaled movies. They're best as small nerdy number simulators with a light story that doesn't take a huge amount of time to get to the next dice roll.
None of these games are fun. Every time I pick up a Final Fantasy game, I drop it after about an hour, because the combat (you know, the actual gameplay) is nothing but busy work.
Play Poker. Much better turn based game.
Hopped on copium
The RPG genre is suited to CD-ROMs and they didn't have to jank everything down to fit on a shitty cartridge.

Name 5 for N64

>Super Robot Wars 64
Holy shit I didn't know there was an SRW on N64. Does it have a translation patch?

Huh, I literally never heard of that either. They keep inventing new N64 games when I'm not looking.

You saying?
every attack should have had a cgi animation then, the CD-Rom is heavily under utilized.
SNES box layouts are horrible.
FF peaked with 4, 5 improved the job system but everything else was a downgrade.

Nah I'll continue playing Final Fantasy 1, since it's one of the most enjoyable games ever made.
Why are you happy?
It's not like you are earning a single cent out of it.
Get a job... like me. So you can post on /vr/ while getting paid for it.
>I'm glad the Nintendo64 skipped on Final Fantasy 7, the series became stale after FF6
I beat mystic quest in one weekend
