By in the style of Arcanum I mean >Character Customization >Instead of races, we'll have personality and background traits effecting dialogue, but practically the same system >Only White people >Kino tactical gun combat with advanced gore >romance
All you gotta do to join is finish the joke: What do you get a German for his birthday?
>only white people
What about other races like elves, dwarves, gnomes, orcs, ogres? It would be boring without them, as different races contributed to the game's interesting story. It would be boring without them.
> steampunk/fantasy
yeah... > victorian
not really, Arcanum was a rare example of doing the 19th century aesthetic without going full moron (probably due to budget constraints). I'd love to play a pre-WW1 RPG in the same vein.
>Top Down View >Character Customisation >Companions (bar Icewind Dale) >Actually good
That's what makes a CRPG gaydrag
for people like you it means gay sex and cuckolding-I mean "love triangles"
>What did you think this means you fricking cretin?
No, you tell me, wise guy. You're the one pitching it, you should do the work.
Romance is from a latin word meaning of the roman style, absolutely any piece of art to ever exist that is even remotely good is in some way or form replicating the romans, thus Romance is a term of the roman style of art
kys you losers, I expect this kind of banter from Ganker, not here
>thus Romance is a term of the roman style of art
So instead of a commonly accepted definition of 'kissy waifu type thing' you use it as a buzzword that can literally mean fricking anything
Next you'll be telling me your game will contain action, adventure, a setting, characters, story and gameplay
2/10 bait, got me, but pretty boring
I'm not trying to be a c**t, but from the context I used it in, if you had an inch of intelligence you would've been able to gather that I didn't mean literal romance
I did here

when I said it, but literal romance is also a valuable part of western storytelling
He’s right though, that’s where the term originally comes from. >(1) a medieval tale based on legend, chivalric love and adventure, or the supernatural >(2) a prose narrative treating imaginary characters involved in events remote in time or place and usually heroic, adventurous, or mysterious
Think was Don Quixote was satirizing.
>just humans and the vast plethora of romance that comes with it
So basically you want to make a /misc/tard edgy teenager aimed visual novel waifu game but tacked ontop of a horrible CRPG
>Arcanum
That game is terrible, no.
hit yourself loser, you've never even played it

Between Clockwork Revolution, New Arc Line, and Sovereign Syndicate, I think we're already pretty set on Victorian/steampunk/fantasy RPGs lately.

Whats a CRPG
Kind of a loose term but just think Baldurs Gate 1 and 2, Icewind Dale, Dragon Age Origins, Geneforge, Arcanum and stuff like that.
>just think these games which only have "being an RPG" in common

Wonder why you didn't list Diablo too while you're at it.

Arcanum is one of those moron games like new vegas, morrowind, or vtmb that just attracts horrendously stupid people that make awful threads.
Who's doing the engine? Do you have a "proof of concept" demo, at least?
