        why does that matter? that's not a core component necessary to make something an immersive sim, it's just a shared feature, like how many of them also have shit graphics or bad controls

    Genuine question, why is something like System Shock considered an immersive sim but something like Daggerfall or Morrowind isnt? Is it just because they have too many RPG mechanics or something?

            If you're talking about levels a bunch of these have open levels, or maps that open up as you follow a linear path.
